- This video is a combination of days 2 and 3 fishing with High Tides Charters out of Puerto Vallerta, Jalisco, Mexico. There was a hurricane off the coast that prevented us from fishing where we wanted to for roosterfish, but we tried our best at some inshore spots! We stayed at the Hacienda Maria Elena which is the all inclusive lodge, provided by high tides charters. The chef at the hacienda made us delicious big eye Trevally sashimi and Seared Rainbow Runner for dinner!

next trip u can visit Mayto for couple days , amazing beach 2hr trip from puerto vallarta. there u can stay at a bungalow and rent a atv to fish from the beach, u will love it. any help i can help u....big fan crazy u are here.

That popper bite was crazy! Always wanted to try rainbow runner, looks incredible. FYI, bigeye trevally and horse-eye jacks are actually two separate species- super similar looking, but the trevallies are only in the Pacific and Indian oceans!

The bait fish is called "big eye scad" or in Hawaii we call it "akule". Not "gargle eye". Run your main line to a swivel connected to a steel leader. You wont lose your poppers.

Veracruz mexico ooof yall got to go there! You can ctach red snapper surf fishing my moms brother caught a 23lb red snapper surf fishing /psa it gets rought out there !!!, when the waves come is unfishable , but clear water the clearest ive seen it was tops at 60ft you could see straight down we seen a big 12ft tiger in 80ft of water from the panga boat trying to catch snapper.

I really enjoyed watching you two catch fish. I've never fished for big top water fish like that and it was very exciting to see them attack your popper on the surface. I do have a question about the meal though. The cooked fish looked great, pretty much how I would cook it without thinking too much about it. I've been eating Japanese for about 35 years and have never seen Sashimi prepared with lime juice. Is that not more akin to Ceviche than it would be to Sashimi ? In any case it looked delicious and I'm drooling from watching.
I was confused as well, but never question the chef in the kitchen haha. I think he was just using it as an acid.

Do recently I moved to the Mississippi gulf. I havent been fishing since i was a boy and really want to get started back so I can have an outdoor family activity.
Any tips on starting? Where? (Fresh? Brackish? Salt?) It'll be from the shore regardless.

Get some shrimp or squid a couple 25 dollar shakespier poles and 2-3 ounce weights. Hi lo rig and cast as far as you can. You’ll get soenthing

Horse eye Jack (Caranx latus) and Bigeye Trevally (Caranx sexfasciatus) are actually different species, very similar looking though

U are one of my favorites on the UA-cam fishing channels . But I never seen a fisherman keep a GT before, idk if that was a great idea. Those fish are like the Goliath Grouper no one keeps them . Blessings brother please don’t keep the GT fish please let it live 💯💯💯💯
