Lovely knits Ruth! I have made about 7 Porty Pullovers -it’s my all time favorite sweater to knit and to gift…as well as wear. I also recently finished a Felix pullover for my trip to cooler weather and used it almost daily. I love it as well (also have the cardigan). Thanks for sharing!
I am doing an Italian bind off on the anker cardigan by Petiteknits, could have really listened for much longer as I don’t think I am even halfway😉. It’s a bit of a tedious bindoff but lovely for 1x1 rib. So dear Ruth, you are indeed a blessing. I was singing along with you at the end. Jesus the Way, the truth the Life, the foundation of our faith and our marriages.
Glad to see those shawls. I never really wore that kind in years past. I kept my neck warm with cowls but now I wear hearing aids and I have to be very careful putting on and taking off cowls. These shawls would solve that problem.
Hello Ruth great to see you in good form. I have not been knitting the month n a bit, due to new puppy in the house. It is like having a one year child in the house. My time is not mine. 🐶🇦🇺🫶🏻 Lovely to see all the knits, I am a bit jealous at present. 🧶🥰
Hello Ruth, I Iove your new Brenda Brayfield shawl. Now it's colder, I've been wearing my Ballyclare shawl that I made last year after seeing your podcast. I'm not really a shawl person, but, as a fairly novice knitter I thought I would give it a try and found Brenda's instructions excellent. I've just purchased Brenda's Armagh shawl - it's much smaller and I think it will be a delight to knit and a very useful accessory for the winter months. Just need to find the yarn for it now. ❤❤
Hello Ruth!! It’s not necessary to say everything is gorgeous and there’s no limit to your talents!! Your stockinette is so even!!!! I’m not a shawl person but I’m going to purchase that blue one you showed and I’ve already ready purchased the stitch markers too !! I’m not even through the podcast😂! I love everything and always watch them several times!!!! Thank you so much from NY!!
Thanks Ruth for sharing all your yarny goodness and all your wise words. Lovely wedding photos too. I haven’t been married as long as you but I try remember “love is patient, love is kind”. (Even if I sometimes say it through gritted teeth!😂
Another lovely podcast, Ruth. I never got tired of listening to you, no matter how long they are, and always listen right to the end. You always brighten my days xx
Mum here. Enjoyed watching yr latest podcast - a little bit of everything. Covid mixed up my sleeping habit so it was a good way to put in an hour or so. Now just after 3 am. That wedding day was so speial to us ,too. Dad had the honour of conducting the ceremony in the church where we were ministering. Always love your epilogues. Did Bill Gaither write that hymn? It's a special favourite to so many. One of your smaller shawls kept me warm today here in freezing N. Ireland. Found your programme so interesting I'm now more wide awake! Keep going. God bless! Pity we're so far apart. Much love ❤️
You shouldn't even look at the number of people NOT watching until the end. If only ONE person is watching and as a result trusts Jesus as their Savior, it is sooooo worth it. God bless you for all you do. I sang along with you at the end!!
Lol. FROG in both meanings go very much together. Sometimes when you have to frog a large portion of a project, or frog the same section over and over multiple times, you really do need to FROG. You mentioned Corrie Tenboom. That brought back memories. She was good friends with my grandmother and came to visit when I was in my teens and my grandmother was living with us. She was a lovely lady, but being older, had lost some height as we all do as we age. My grandmother was also petite in stature, but I've always been really tall. My mom took a photo of us on the front porch, me in the middle and grandma and Corrie standing on either side of me. They came up to my lower ribcage. I love the photo, even though it looks quite humorous.
Wow thanks so much for sharing that. I had nightmares after warching the film about her life but have often gotten encouragement from quotes from her. X
i love Corrie TenBoom, watched movies about her family & read books about her. Such strong & obedient faith & such enduring works. I have been very encouraged by her testimonies as i have out lived 3 husbands & i see God Almighty working in our 8 children's lives.
Another wonderful episode. I actually would like them longer, I love every minute ❤ Beautiful knits as always. You inspired me to knit a pair of Copper Conifer socks in Merino Sock! Gorgeous ❤️
Dear Ruth! So many lovely knits! I always enjoy watching your podcast when they come up! I Love knitting with bright, cheerful colors as well, but love all of them! Your wedding photo is so sweet, we were all such babies in those first days! Thank you for sharing God’s word. I always look forward to that part too! ❤
Thanks so much for the beautiful devotional. It was just what I needed today! I love your little devotionals! God is using your podcast not only for fun knitting stuff but for spiritual norishment too. ❤️
I love your podcasts! Don't worry about them being long. I just stop and start as needed to get my chores done. Sometimes you keep me company over 3 days and I love it.❤
Thank you Ruth for another lovely podcast. Especially for your closing message. Always a blessing to me. Wishing you good health and happiness in the weeks ahead ❤️. Praying for Nigel too. 😊
Such a beautiful podcast as usual Ruth, love all your knits particularly Rachel’s socks and Brenda’s shawl. Thankyou for sharing Gods word, always makes my day 🙏💕
Hi Ruth love the felix jumper. I've knit 2 jumpers and 1 cardigan just love that pattern.when you knit a shawl you try them on I like that because we can see what they look like.keep up the good work love your videos 😊
Your podcasts are never too long Ruth and always fun 😊 Love the colour of your latest Felix. Definitely finished when it comes off the needles 😂 You and your husband look so cute in your wedding photos, time really does fly when you're having fun 😊
Ruth I love your Podcast so much! I really was astonished when you held up your album and said that it was you and your Nigil in the photo. I would never have guessed...Beautiful photos and memories for a most beautiful lady. I hope you never change!
Ruth I enjoy your podcast so much...All of it! I love to see and be inspired by all of your knitting, but I look forward to the Word and sharing you do at the end, and I get encouraged. Thanks for all you do! ❤
Ruth.....lovely podcast!! love seeing your projects as well as your wedding pictures!! so beautiful....you really do not look that different except for your hair, that's all. thank you for your words.....makes ya think about things. I can relate. Thank you
maybe you could knit something with the blue and pink together with that lovely speckly bit. so fun to see all the bright and happy colors. From closing on 54 years in Jan with my hubby, congrats on making it to 18. The years do fly by. Keeping faith can sustain us through the worst of times.
Thank you for yet another inspiring podcast. I am always blessed by your special words at the end and find that I frequently reflect on them in the subsequent days.
Great to see you again, Ruth......such lovely knits and yarn, I especially love that cobolt blue and the other bright colored one but I do think the pink and that bright colored yarn would make an awesome Simon shawl...so fun...thanks for sharing with us
Thanks again Ruth. Lovely to see you. What lovely memories photos bring back. ❤️❤️. You keep enabling me to cast on. 🫣🙄. I really look forward to your end words. The hymn you read was very special to me when our son was Ill. He did know He held his future right through to the end but still praised Him. You do a lot for our knitting community but so much more for our Christian community. Thanks. 🙏
I enjoy your podcasts and words of wisdom! I've learned over the years that you do need to trust the Lord and turn yourself over to him. I found that always things work out in the end.
Ruth, it was a lovely podcast. Your projects OMG so beautiful. The wedding pictures were amazing. To think that your mom made your dress, Wow. Thank you for continuing to podcast and share your life with us. My husband and I just celebrated our 54th wedding anniversary and I have to admit there were many times I wanted to leave, but we always seem to work it out. Take care!
So many beautiful works of art! And I'm loving the pinks! I just finished my 2nd Maurice for the year and will post pics as soon as I block it. And a Simon is coming up soon on my needles -- hopefully in time to enter in the KAL this year. Your podcast always makes me smile. 😁
I love Him with all my heart too. I love your beautiful FO’s and WIP’s. And I really really LOVE your message at the end. I always watch. Thank you for including it each time. It’s really helpful and lovely. Also, I have to cast on a Simon Shawl immediately!!! 😊❤ I’m very inspired by yours.
Thanks for a lovely podcast. I always enjoy your format. It’s like we are knitting together over a cup of tea. Woo hoo- your foot has healed. I’ve shared that same injury. Not fun. Most of all, your focus on Christ is encouraging. You shared one of my favorite songs, “Because He Lives” and my favorite Bible verses. May God bless you and your family.
As always throughly enjoyed your podcast, is like catching up with an old friend. I really glad that you are out of plaster and starting to get about, hope that your health continues to improve. I am always amazed at how much you achieve and all done so beautifully. However, I'm also encouraged by the fact that you can admit that you've sometimes made mistakes and the fact that you will frog projects that aren't working. With the addition of you discussing with us, which mistakes you can live with and which need frogging - it means that we are learning from those things at the same time. Thank you, thank you x
Thank you Ruth for a lovely bright podcast. So glad the foot is healing well and your on the move again. So many finished objects. The shawl is gorgeous. I think the two pinks for the Simon would be fabulous. Lovely message at the end. Always a blessing. Our God is amazing. ❤
Dearest Ruth, my sister in Christ! I just came across your channel and just loved everything about you, and your makings and the end. I definitely subscribed and am excited to get to know you. Soon and very soon we will be in heaven with our Father and maybe knitting together with the finest of yarns. By the way, I live in Maine in the US and I’m 77 years old and live with my daughter and grandson. It’s getting chilly here too, with snow forecast next week. God richly blessed you! ♥️
I do love your bright pink yarns at the end, and the lovely fairy tale colours in the pink-and-blue all knit up. Your tale about the Buffalo Toque made me laugh because I knit a colourwork hat for my husband for Christmas and was so worried about its being too small (colourwork!) that I overknit it and he wears it with the brim rolled up about 4cm (colourwork!). Ah, well.... :-)
Your Richhill Shawl is gorgeous Ruth. Love, love, love the colours. Thank you so much for choosing to knit my pattern. You always do my proud! And what a handsome young couple. With your dark hair and lovely smile, you remind me of Jo from Twinset and Purl. Thank you again for another lovely podcast. Delightful to spend time with you - it's never long enough!
I so much enjoy spending time with you. Glad to hear your foot is better. Unfortunately, my bones are not happy. In April I had the very serious spiral break on my right humerus that just in Sept was all acknowledged together, not fully healed. Then in October I fell again and have fractures in my right humerus. And then just a couple of weeks ago I fell once again. This time fracturing 2 ribs and my nose. Instead of giving me more knitting time, it's been hard. But your cheerful voice and reminders of God's faithfulness have brightened my night.
Blessings Ruth, I always look forward to having my tea while I enjoy your podcast. You inspire my chooses of patterns plus I love hearing about your life updates. It's very much sweater weather here in Alberta and I'm thinking about knitting thrumbed mittens, have you heard of them? Prayers from Canada
Hi Ruth. It was fun to see your wedding pictures and thank for the devotional. I love your new Felix sweater, the color is beautiful on you. And I’m not really a shawl knitter, but I may knit that Richhill shawl after seeing yours.
Ruth I laughed out out loud (and had to rewind to check...) when you said, "Dude" what is your opinion about being finished... I can tell you have teens! haha xxxooo
Thank you for another cheery and uplifting podcast Ruth. I love seeing all your makes and I am completely smitten with the wee sheep progress keeper from Wild & Bare 🥰 Great to see you on your feet again 😊 xx
Been waiting for your new podcast and had to watch it straight away! Swizels lollies and Wurzel Gumidge definitely from the same era. Your Felix jumper looks lovely. I have the pattern and must get on with it. Just not enough hours in the day. 😊
Love both shawls! On the mindfulness shawl do you find the size is different from you working with the fingering instead of DK? A bit smaller or not much difference?
Morning Ruth, we have lots of snow this morning so will be knitting on my first Mindfulness shawl after watching your podcast. I started a couple of days ago using 4 ply and 3.5mm needles but I'm a bit concerned because I've increased to about 40 stitches and it's still only 8" along the top edge but only about 3 " deep from the needle. Is this about right? Or should I start again with a DK ? Thanks Elizabeth
Hello Ruth, I am hoping you can help me find the sock pattern , copper conifir sock pattern . I know it is twinset & purl, but it is not coming up on my ravelry site. I just finished the open hands open heart sock, seen on your podcast and I had no problem. Please help, I would love to make them. Thanks
Pink looks great on you!
Thank you x

Oh yes the puppy season can be very challenging. I don't miss that stage. We had that this time last year with our wee rescue. It wasnt fun x

Hello Ruth. Thanks for this lovely video. It really was great to watch and enjoy your joy and enjoyment of knitting.
I was singing along at the end. Beautiful song.
😂 you said it was starting to rain and I looked out the window, and i am in Canada!
Dearest Ruth, my sister in Christ! I just came across your channel and just loved everything about you, and your makings and the end. I definitely subscribed and am excited to get to know you. Soon and very soon we will be in heaven with our Father and maybe knitting together with the finest of yarns. You are very welcome here x
Thank you, Ruth, for a very lively episode.. you energized me ❤
I remember that time, I accidentally stepped into kislux . Since then, I have a few more pieces of art in my wardrobe and less anxiety about bills.
Those socks are lovely. I will be buying the pattern. It’s lovely to see you. I needed cheering up 😊
Glad I could help x
I do love your bright pink yarns at the end, and the lovely fairy tale colours in the pink-and-blue all knit up. Your tale about the Buffalo Toque made me laugh because I knit a colourwork hat for my husband for Christmas and was so worried about its being too small (colourwork!) that I overknit it and he wears it with the brim rolled up about 4cm (colourwork!). Ah, well.... :-)
That’s my favorite song. My husband and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary in July. I enjoyed your devotions today
Congratulations x
❤❤hi ruth,,

Knitting slong with a friend,,,
ELAINE❤🎉🏠🏠,,,
Your Richhill Shawl is gorgeous Ruth.
Being compared to Jo is definitely a compliment x
Beautiful work and beautiful words. Married 50 years and not yet convinced him to try his hand at knitting.
How nice on this gloomy Canadian afternoon, to sit and knit with your inspiring episode. You pronounced "toque" correctly...rhyming with "fluke" 😊
Oh thank you!
My goodness you have been though the wars. Praying for healing x
Such gorgeous shawls Ruth. Enjoyed your words at the end and the photos! X
Thanks so much 😊
The bright pink is gorgeous! Thank you for your encouraging words.
Socks, the Bergman sweater , a brioche hat, and a shawl
Blessings Ruth, I always look forward to having my tea while I enjoy your podcast. You inspire my chooses of patterns plus I love hearing about your life updates. It's very much sweater weather here in Alberta and I'm thinking about knitting thrumbed mittens, have you heard of them? Prayers from Canada
Yes I have seen those. I havent knit any though. Would love to see them when you finish x
You’ve said toque quite correctly! 👍🏻 Love your Felix
Thank you x
Hi Ruth. It was fun to see your wedding pictures and thank for the devotional. I love your new Felix sweater, the color is beautiful on you. And I’m not really a shawl knitter, but I may knit that Richhill shawl after seeing yours.
You definitely should. I loved it.
Ruth - so nice podcast. Family it is very very important - Thank you Thank you!!! - it was so warm :)
You are so welcome!
You are SO 'prolific' Ruth and a really diverse high quality knitter - so inspirational !
Wow, thank you!
Because He Lives! ❤
Oh you must use the pink for the next Simon…that goes perfectly and fun!
I think I will x
Ruth I laughed out out loud (and had to rewind to check...) when you said, "Dude" what is your opinion about being finished... I can tell you have teens! haha xxxooo
Oh my goodness...I didn't realise I clsaid that. At least it wasn't bruh!!
Another wonderful podcast Ruth. Thank you for keeping me entertained while I knit my norwegian test knit mittens❤

It's always enjoyable to hang out with you!❤
Lovely podcast Ruth, very inspired by your Felix Sweater!
Looks even better now it is blocked.
We just got the First Snow ❄️ today😮. And I have almost done my Flax sweater, just the bind off needs to be done. I say hello from switzerland 🇨🇭. 👋🙏
We got snow today too despite me saying we rarely get snow!!!
Just finished my Flax Sweater 😂🎉
Been waiting for your new podcast and had to watch it straight away! Swizels lollies and Wurzel Gumidge definitely from the same era. Your Felix jumper looks lovely. I have the pattern and must get on with it. Just not enough hours in the day. 😊
Ahh those were the days eh 😀
Love the rhythmic movement of your rocker. The pink with the lollie colorway go very well.
You will definitely see me coming.
Such lovely shawls, Ruth!! Loved all you shared! ❤❤❤
Love both shawls! On the mindfulness shawl do you find the size is different from you working with the fingering instead of DK? A bit smaller or not much difference?
I havent found much difference. The DK is a just a thicker fabric.
Once it’s off the needles 😊
AMEN I KNOW HE LIVES....AMEN
Morning Ruth, we have lots of snow this morning so will be knitting on my first
Mindfulness shawl after watching your podcast.
That sounds right. It will grow but remember it is only a small shawl x
@@ruthlovestoknitpodcast and you did say you could keep going until the whole ball is used Thank you
Hello Ruth, I am hoping you can help me find the sock pattern , copper conifir sock pattern . I know it is twinset & purl, but it is not coming up on my ravelry site. I just finished the open hands open heart sock, seen on your podcast and I had no problem. Please help, I would love to make them. Thanks
