I LOVE my Zooz remote switch! I use it to control 1) my garage lights / overriding my automations related to motion and time of day when needed and 2) to unlock my garage door instead of needing to use the numeric keypad. - Each button, upper and lower, has 3 settings each. Simply pushing the button doesn't unlock the door. And I have the button magnetically attached to my chest freezer, -not in an obvious location. The thing is awesome.
i really like the zooz line of products, i have a zen32 scene controller installed next to my front door. With a couple of HA blueprints i can control the one big and 4 little buttons with all it's button presses and led status lights easily. I am controlling the outside lights (big button) my smart front door lock and status light, living rooms lights, foyer lights, etc. Will have to look into getting one of these and test it out.
The GoControl switches I think are discontinued? And worse, they don't appear to have the new Edge drivers for smartthings. Are there any other options for dimmers/buttons that stick over top of your existing wall switches?
How’s the battery life for you? I’ve had one of these for about a year and have already had to change out the batteries even though I barley use it. Not sure if it’s a signal strength issue for me but I have Lutron pico remotes I’ve had installed for 7+ years and still never changed a battery on a single one.
I got a little over a year out of my first switch. The others are just over 14 months and going. My results with the Pico are the same. I honestly have to say I don' t know how to change the battery in a Pico LOL. However, the Zen34 is perfect for blending in like a real switch which is the thing I truly love about it.
I am just starting out. I am trying to do an automation that will turn on a light if Frig door is left open for 30 seconds . Using an Aqara contact sensor. Can turn light on when door opens and off when door closes, Can not figure out the delay 30 second time for when the door is left open. Help please , please , please.
Hi Rodney, it will depend a lot on what your contact sensor and light connect to. This will be a hard one to solve in the YT comments. If you join the Facebook group there will be lots of help there. Cheers!
Ha, yeah - I just noticed that. I meant to title it 'no NEW wiring' - it's supposed to be like you have a 4-cyl and you can upgrade to an 8 cyl without changing the engine.
@@DIYSmartHomeGuy1 Thanks for taking it in good humor :-) I accept it was accidental but for me, it worked as clickbait as I was interested in somehow doing it without wiring! Still I found a new channel, do, dammit, you still win! 🙂
Haha - all thumbnails are clickbait! We just try to pretend they're not. We get as close to the line as we can without getting flamed. Anyway, thanks for the sub! Cheers. P.S. If we don't have humor, we have a miserable life. Thanks also for being good natured.
@jacklewis100 I added my remote switch with no additional wiring. This was a new 3-way function added to existing smart devices. So in my case, the statement was 100% accurate! 👍
Finally someone noticed this product. It's been my favorite addition over the last year.
I've had my switches in for a little over a year and they've been great.
I found this on Amazon, but hadn't purchased yet. You convinced me! I will use your link. Thx for coming out of retirement!
Glad I could help! Best of luck
Great to see you back!
Great to be back! Thanks
I have 3 Zen34 switches currently and they work great. The price is right and they have worked exactly as I hoped they would. Another spot on review.
Thanks John!
Does it dim when held down?
Great video John. Zooz is definitely a solid partner.
No doubt they are!

Thanks for sharing! I love hearing how other people use this tech!
Thank you very good review. I hadn’t thought of picking one up to use but now I will.
Glad it was helpful! Cheers
They really make great products!
Indeed they do

It's pretty cool. Especially if you're needing an ad-hoc switch somewhere and don't want to run the wiring. I think you'll like it. Cheers

Damn i love your videos
Aqara Qube is an interesting controller. Not a wall switch, but interesting.

Not that I'm aware of unfortunately.

Lutron Pro way is much more stable and is faster to respond in my house than the Zoom remotes which I have two still setup in my house.
thanks for the feedback Leo. The Pico is a good alternative. The only drawback is the price of the Smart Bridge Pro.
New smart things. Understand no zwave. Hubitat looking better
"NO WIRING...as long as someone's already done the wiring,...."
Next week: FREE CARS, as long as you already paid for them... 🙂
