Thank you, Dave. This is what an incredible journey of happy people looks like. Lots of beautiful views, from the sky to the silhouettes of deer. Stunning places.
I think that Mull and Ardnamurchan have become our go to places Serge. Wish we had discovered them earlier. Northern Scotland is so wild and beautiful but there is just something about Ardnamurchan that makes it very special. I think it’s that it is so remote and difficult to access whilst Northern Scotland has become pretty busy especially in Summer. We are already planning for a trip there next year. We almost cut out the rest of the trip to just stay there!! Hope you’re all ok Serge. 💙💛
Another nice area to explore. The sceneries are quite amazing. Watch out for those sheep! It is fun to explore the tide pools as long as you don't get caught in the tide. It moves in fast. Cool to see the seal and the red deer. Awesome trip. Have a great day.
It has been an awesome trip Steve. This place was another wonderful stop over The wildlife was something else! And we just have to go back there next year!!
Probably the most relaxing evening we’ve had in the van mate. Watching the tide come in, wildlife and then the Eagle. It was so close that the long lens couldn’t pick it up 😃 Made up to film it as it flew away though. Flippin massive!!!
This one blew us away guys! Kentra Bay was beyond beautiful! You are right Dave, really is what it is all about! Remote places like this are so special, when you feel like you are the only ones there in that moment, it is very unique and intimate experience with nature ❤. Wow! The Eagle! Amazing 🤩🦅. We would love to see one, such majestic birds. Didn't realise so much of their diets are made up of lambs though😮. The silhouette of the deers at sunset was so lovely too! What a place, not surprised you were sad to leave! But the next adventure calls! Thanks so much for taking us along! Shell and Pete 😊👊👍
This place and that evening was very special. Everything about it. Stunning! Couldn’t believe the Eagle fly by. It was heading straight for us and we both stood up so it veered away - but so close that the long lens on the camera couldn’t pick it up until it was flying away! 🤦🏻♂️. But it was HUGE! So so pleased that we managed to get the film. You guys would absolutely love Ardnamurchan. We’ve seen a lot of Scotland but that place is the best - we’re going back again next year.
Thanks Gaddielle. It’s just stunning. This was probably our best evening with the van yet. Everything was perfect. Apart from missing the Aurora. 🤦🏻♂️😃
Stunning campsite Dave, such spectacular views, how lovely your both sat there with your bottle of wine 🍷 talking in the moment. And you managed to see a sea eagle 🦅. I would be jealous if you captured an Aurora, it would be amazing. All the best, Ivor.
Cheers Ivor. I was a bit gutted about the Aurora - everyone seemed to see it. I sat out until just after 11pm and then the Aurora app showed reduced activity. So I went to bed literally just before it started. But that evening was just about perfect anyway - watching the Sun set as the tide came in slowly and then the Eagle fly over. It was so close I couldn’t get my long lens to focus until it was flying away!! 😃 Have a great Sunday Ivor mate
Wow this is a beautiful area! It’s nice to see the scenery and the cute collages with their dry stone walls! It was cool to see the lambs crossing the road too! Thanks for sharing
Hello Dave and Sue, love seeing the little lambs so cute with the black socks. The the red deer amazing. Lovely sea views as you are driving. The hyde was very well constructed with great views. The campsite looked huge with great views over the bay. You saw the eagle woohoo, lovely video, take care x Julie and Tony x
Yes it was amazing there guys. It’s only a five pitch site - the others were seasonal pitches although I think I remember the owner saying they might open for tents at some stage. But what an amazingly beautiful bay. We only stayed for one night and we missed walking to Ardtoe which is such a beautiful little place too Loved it there and must get back soon!!! Have a great Sunday you two. 👍👍
This is one of my favourites so far! The combination of the scenery, the weather, the incredible pitch location and the various wildlife images and videos, it was just magic! What a fantastic trip - can't wait for the next one! You have inspired us to do a Scottish road trip adventure before too long!
I must admit that evening was probably our favourite of the trip. It really was magical. The Aurora would have been the icing on the cake but watching and filming that Eagle was amazing too. Loved it there - such a beautiful place!
The perfect place Soren. And the perfect evening. Watching the tide come in slowly - no wind - and a beautiful Sunset - and seeing deer on the horizon and then the Eagle fly by. It was magical! Missed the Aurora by a few minutes - gave up when the app I have showed reduced activity at 11pm. Just before it started. But nothing could have spoiled that perfect evening Have a great Sunday Soren. 👍👍
Thanks mate. Yes could t believe all those Shelduck. I’ve only ever seen two together. That was a heck of a place to stay! When we met you the next day, that was the place we were considering going back to!! 😃😃
Yet another stunning location. You certainly get your moneys worth with these landscapes. Lovely footage of the Eagle as well as the other wildlife, looking forward to that separate video indeed. Wishing you both a lovely weekend.
Cheers Jay. I must start compiling that vid. I saw and filmed so much wildlife. Many new species to me too which was brilliant. Never seen a Great Northern Diver, for example, but they were so common up there! Anyway, thanks again mate 👍👍
Hiya Em - hope you guys are doing well. Yep we’re fine - we’re out on a maintenance trip to a little campsite near home - sorted out some small issues we’ve had with the van ourselves Oh my goodness, we absolutely loved Ardnamurchan - what a beautiful and wild place it is. And I think that that was our favourite site and best night in the van so far! Wildlife was amazing and the views across the bay were so beautiful! We very nearly cancelled the rest of the trip to stay there Missed the Aurora though 🤦🏻♂️😃
Hi both the drive looked lovely and so nice to see deer and sheep with lambs on it. Then seeing otters and seals.. wow sooo good. Love the mountains and lakes. The campsite looked really good and peaceful and with amazing views. Gorgeous sunset and timelapse and the next day footage was beautiful with the birds and ducks on the lake and those shells. That was great , really enjoyed it ~ Anna 👏👍
Thanks Anna. It was such an amazing place and a beautiful evening. To watch the wildlife as the Sun set was magical. Wished we had seen the Aurora must have just missed it. The owners were so friendly and helpful and we just must get back there soon. Have a wonderful Sunday you two.
@@NBNatureTrailvan I loved all of the wildlife you saw and your joy at seeing it, we are like that just in our garden with all of the different birds and squirrels ! So it must have been great to see what you saw 🙂You have a great day too :)
Hiya Tamson Hope you and the family are well mate 👍👍. Yep that was an amazing place. We just loved Ardnamurchan so much. Maybe our best night in our van so far!! Have a good week Tamson 👍
Well, I must say, the destination must have certainly bee worth the drive...but what a drive! lol Some pretty great tides for sure! Missed the arura here too...some in Nova Scotia were able to see it, but cloud cover for me. Okay, this ferry looks even smaller than the last! lol
An amazing place Bruce. We have to get back there soon! One of those perfect evenings that you only get a few times - the tide slowly coming in - no wind - a gorgeous Sunset with deer on the horizon and then my first Eagle filming opportunity! Missed the Aurora by a few minutes - the app I have showed a reduction in activity at 11pm. So I gave up on it and went to bed - Just before it started 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ Ha yes, the ferries just got smaller and smaller 😃😃😃
Dave I love your vocalisation of the countryside. I’m exactly the same ‘Emma look at that! Look at that!’ 😂😂 Loved that grade of the sea eagle, but shame about the Aurora. Amazing how much wildlife you were able to see. You mentioned Adders. I didn’t think there would be many up there. Did you eventually see any?
Ha I know Phil. It’s why I love your vids mate. Can’t help being wowed by everything can we. And with good reason 👍👍😃😃 This was probably the best evening out we’ve had for a while. Watching the tide come in as the Sun set with Red Deer on the horizon and an Eagle fly over. Absolutely magical!! Missed the Aurora - the alert app I had showed a big reduction in activity at 11pm - just before it started! 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️. But that didn’t detract from the beauty of this place!! No adders but there are so many in that area. Warnings about to be careful how you tread. Have a great Sunday mate.

That's where the Shelduck are hiding. We seem to get fewer of them in the bay here. Cracking video folks.

Well if you guys make it over we would love to meet up and show you the best parts of the UK.
But Scotland is just the best by a country mile!! 😃
We would love that.
