I can't decide. Marley hair makes you more natural so it looks like it could be your real hair, and it's much easier to do but kanekalon hair makes you look like a mystical african queen out of a legend.
I guess... TEAM MARLEY it is!!! lol Thank you guys for the feedback! Also some of you want to know... how many packs: Marley (6) & Kanekalon (lost count) :( The brand doesn't really matter.. I buy different brands all the time...
Sadora Paris I am just seeing this video for the first time. I vote for the Marley hair for an everyday look. And the K hair for special occasions. Thank you for the tutorial!
Beautiful woman and great video. VERY IMPORTANT TIP for anyone who would like to use the kanekalon hair: you need to stretch the hair before you begin to braid or twist. This will give your ends a more tapered look; sealing the ends. When you twist or braid the hair in one blunt length the braid or twists will always unravel. And if you dip them in hot water it helps take away any frizz that might have occurred.
GlamByDjen if you stretch the hair, do you still need to braid the ends to seal it?? I plan on doing my hair this weekend and I'm nervous!! trying to get all the tips!! lol
I watched this video a couple years ago and tried doing this with the kanekelon hair and I made all of those mistakes. I swear my hair looked like furniture tassels. I'm revisiting this to try with Marley hair lol
I am so excited right now! I have been searching for a video that actually shows me HOW to put in the Senegalese twists... And you finally did it! Thank you so much! I will most definitely be doing my hair this weekend!!! Wonderful video, beautiful hair! BTW, I love the Marley hair!
@Sadora this video was awesome. I loved how you voiced over it so you were able to zoom in and actually show what you were doing. Also well edited, straight to the point, and GORGEOUS!
Thank you so much for this! This was easy to follow and it'll be easy for my mom to follow; she's very fast. You deserve an award for the quality, the professionalism, and the easy instructions! Thanks!!!
i like the Marley hair it looks more natural. This video and the crochet video is making me want to head on down to the beauty supply store tomorrow and get some hair to try this tomorrow.
hahahaa!!!! I was DEAD when they started clapping!! You are soo fun to watch! Lol. Even though we don't have the same texture, I'm totally subscribing. You are so thorough and I love it!! XD
I like both hair types because you get a slightly different look for each one. However, the Marley hair is much easier to work with. I am loving your tutorials! Thank you for doing them. Your twists look beautiful.
So I've been looking for a tutorial on how to senegalese twist on tapered hair and I'm just now seeing this one! I don't know why, since I've been subscribed to your channel for a while. But I finally found a video that works for me! Thank you so much!
Marley hair is far easier to braid and still have it looking right. Particularly when doing it yourself. It kind of requires less technique. For example, with kanekalon there is a particular technique required that ensures you won't need to braid the end. It's not easy to do especially on yourself. So go for Marley hair especially when you're braiding your own hair.
I would honestly say that I LOVE YOUR tutorial , out of all the ones I have seen FINALLY one that doesn't involve braiding the base of the twist (I can't braid close to scalp so my twist would look AWFUL) but I definitely plan to use this with some ombre hair I have. Im an trying to give my hair a break from perming for a while. I had box braids in march but had taken them out at the end of march/beginning of april because the woman who did them , did it WAY TOO tight. But I definitely plan to try these so that o can have a lasting easy hairstyle.
moriboto1 Thats awesome :D Just remember if you cant get it the first time around just keep practicing... It took me three tries before I got the hang of it :)
The kanekalon is prettier IMO bc it does have more sheen, although the Marley hair looks so much easier to work with...you're the 3rd person I've seen using this method...tried the first time, then gave up bc of all the twisting and overlapping as u go along...watching u do it has made it SO MUCH easier!! am trying again hopefully next weekend.. Thnx so much; hope to c more videos from u:)
I love the concept of pre-parting your hair! Thanks so much for that tip...and for the record, I absolutely love the kinky hair. It totally lends to the look, but the shininess of the Kanekalon can't be beat. Your hair looks gorgeous either way.
Thank you! This video was seriously a life saver because I have tried multiple times to put Senegalese twists in my hair and I wouldn't because the ends would always unravel the second I let go of the twist. Now I know that you have to braid the ends in order to keep them. Thank you a lot!
I absolutely love how u have explained this Senegalese twist. I love the Marley hair. beautiful job well done, and u are very pretty also. I'm gonna try this style soon. Thanks for that tutorial.
Vanessa Otero The Marley seems to be more natural like it's hers, while the Kanekalon appears shiny, synthetic and not hers.... I guess that's why most people prefer the Marley, including me
OMG!!! I LOVE YOUR TUTORIAL!! Thank you for the pep talk! Lol I tried to do twists and quit because I couldn't get the braiding in technique! The twisting in the hair is WAY better and easier! Thank you thank you thank you!!
I prefer the shiny look of the kanekalon but I don't like how they get loose once you're done. I have a bunch of kanekalon hair leftover and I've been trying to make it work but they just won't stay 😫
Love the hairstyle. Personally, I like the kanekelon hair better. It looks more shiner and neater (please, I am not disrespecting the marley hair or natural hair).
Marley all the way! And I finally got brave enough to try to do this style myself, after a few fumbles and slips, it came out pretty nice. Thanks for this video, just saved me a bunch of money! :D
I keep trying that but for some reason on my client it some are still unraveling but maybe I should feather those pieces more. Most of them on her I used that technique and it worked great.
Kanekelon looks better...you can pull/feather the ends of the hair before you use kanekelon.....this way you wont have to braid the ends together for them to stay
I am just seeing this video for the first time daughter wants twist instead of breads and I loved both of them. But yes I must say the Marley looked the best it brought out your features more, awesome beloved and thank you for the tutorial.
I know I'm late but you are the only person whose video I've watched on doing these twist that I understand. Thank you so much! Also, do you remember how much the Marley hair cost? That's my favorite.
I love both hair types!! they give off different vibes, though if I had to pick id go with the marley hair because it looks more natural. you're stunning either way!!
I like the shinny hair...either way they both look good... I think the Shinny Hair looks really nice... it makes your face stand out... BTW great bone structure you have.... :-)
I love this video! You made this look so easy! I prefer Kanekelon only because it's cheaper and I like the shine. Also, if you boil some water (remove it from the burner) and carefully dip the ends into the water it will seal the ends. I dip my braids because I don't like the burned tips but only Kanekalon hair will work NOT silky braid. This weekend I am trying this!
You are a saint! I have been looking at different vids on marley twists off and on but although it seemed easy I always said I would try it and never got down to attempting it until now. You vid out of all vids inspired me to try it. I watched your vid for the first time Friday and that same day went out and brought the my first packs of Marley hair, the same night I I did my hair and to my surprise it definitely is easy as it looks. If it wasn't for your vid I don't think I would've tried it anytime soon. As you see I posted 2 days ago and 2 days later I'm sitting here with my Marley twists. For now I will be doing this all winter! I feel like a pro already, thanks again #teamMarley
Marley is the obvious winner but I do admit that Kankelon shine is amazing and it seems to match your Hair's texture and shine. Also have you thought about adding a lil fire to the ends of Kankelon to seal it??Thank you so much for this video. I braid my girls and others occasionally but this has inspired me to try doing my own yessss that $100 do be killing ugh. Thanks Diva!
Girl you are the best!!!! I have always wanted these twist but I hate going to the beauty parlor and the braiding salon because I am very tender headed I just detangled my hair last night and my scalp is very sore and it will be this way for about 2 more days. You have made this look so easy I will try it and let you know how it turned out.
I really loved both looks. I would say I preferred the Marley hair. It looks more natural and I think even when it got old it would still look cute on you. Now I want o buy Marley hair for when I wanna do my senegalese twists. PS You are too gorgeous!
I love this video and it taught me a lot. I'm currently frowning out my hair and want to do protective styles like this to do so. What advice would you have for people with 3c/3b hair so they won't slip out?
OMG, YOU ARE A LIFE SAVIOR LOL !!!!! YOUR TECHNIQUE SAVE ME ME SO MUCH TIME... I CAN THANK OU ENOUGH. IN MY OPINION YOU LOOKED FABULOUS IN EITHER STYLE BUT THE MARLEY STANDS OUT. ENJOY, Deborah
First off let me start by saying that your bone structure is absolutely stunning😍. I love your personality and this video was very helpful thanks so much for sharing
I really liked the kanekelon hair. I did sengalese twists on myself and used the marley hair and though I liked how the hair was pre separated, the texture of the hair seemed to get ratty very quick and caught on things. The kanekelon hair you used was very shiny and pretty and the thickness of the twists seemed more uniform. I'm going to try that type of hair next time. Thanks for the video!
Omg! Why are you so darn pretty AND have an awesome personality?!?! WINNING! I showed my Daughter this vid so she could learn as well.. we vote MARLEY!
Tough question! I like them both - the Marley hair definitely looks more natural - it looks like its all your hair but the shine on the Kanekalon is lovely!
Lol def a must try hairstyle, esp since im in the starting process of going natural. You made it seem so effortless and mad easy. Lol im so torn with which hair to choose they both rock. Kanek looks amazingly shiny and flawless, yet the marley is pre-separated, longer and holds better. You can pass with both. Loveeee ur viddys keep them coming. Rudeyp your canadian fan :)
they both look really pretty I'm glad you showed both. I like how shiny the braiding hair looked but I worry it won't hold as long as the marley hair but I've seen other vids on here where they braid an inch or so first and then twist and that may help with the slippage
Great vid, marley hair looks great!! I recommend if you want to use kanekalon hair for twists you make the twists smaller because it doesn't hold that well for large twists
they both look great, I like the Marly hair because it looks more natural and the end hold better, I also like the regular extentions because of its shine and length.
Hi BEAUTIFUL! I love the look of the Kanekalon. It stared making my eyes pop after you had only finished a couple of the twists! I know people usually use the kinky hair for styles like this one and they turn out great, but sometimes that neat & shiny look can be more elegant. I'm going to try it the way you did and use the Kanekalon, then use the kinky hair where my hair is shorter so it will grip and probably stay in better without slipping out. Thanks for the video. PEACE.
Actually you would be fly rocking either hair texture! I appreciate your step by step technique- will definitely try ur technique. Thanks for sharing look forward to more vids😀

thats like a pro!
What brand of Marley hair is that?
Sadora Paris I am just seeing this video for the first time. I vote for the Marley hair for an everyday look. And the K hair for special occasions. Thank you for the tutorial!
Sadora Paris not to sound daft but how long do you keep the twists in and how do you wash your hair whilst they are in your hair?
jaykatkouta Your question is a very pratical question NOT a daft one. I hope you get an answer.
Beautiful woman and great video. VERY IMPORTANT TIP for anyone who would like to use the kanekalon hair: you need to stretch the hair before you begin to braid or twist. GlamByDjen thanks this was extremely helpful for me
I like the Marly hair because it seems like it would hold better and blend better with natural hair. I love this tutorial!
I will tell u from experience that it doesn't hold better the marely is the same as kanekalon
Thank you! :)
Sadora Paris itiok journey ujji
Me too I like it because it looks better on her than the the other hair
I have to say you are SO COMPLETELY RIGHT!!!! Pre - parting your hair makes this process so much easier and faster! Thank you for this vid!

this video quality is amazing. i've watched about seven videos before this and none of them were as clear. awesome!
The Marley looks more natural but the xpression hair looks more neat

Sadora Paris I kow I tried , it was a stuggle, especially in the back of my head. I decided to just let my mom braid the base and do half braid/twist.
Great tutorial personally I prefer the Kanekelon hair!
I love this video so much! You keep it simple and get straight to the point. I have been looking for a video like this for awhile now. Thank you!
I prefer the shiny look of the kanekalon but I don't like how they get loose once you're done. I have a bunch of kanekalon hair leftover and I've been trying to make it work but they just won't stay 😫
ugh! i can't handle your beauty right now. can't wait to do my twists. Thanks for the video queen!!🌸
Love the hairstyle. Personally, I like the kanekelon hair better. It looks more shiner and neater (please, I am not disrespecting the marley hair or natural hair).
I agree with the shine.. I just wish it didn't tangle and shed so much :(
Marley all the way! And I finally got brave enough to try to do this style myself, after a few fumbles and slips, it came out pretty nice. Thanks for this video, just saved me a bunch of money! :D
if you feather the kanekalon and/or dip it in hot water it will not untwist
I keep trying that but for some reason on my client it some are still unraveling but maybe I should feather those pieces more. Most of them on her I used that technique and it worked great.
+2ManifestLove hmmm maybe you aren't feathering them enough
Okay so i have fallen in love with her videos #Amen I am definitely twisting or crocheting my hair for the holidays
Kanekelon looks better...you can pull/feather the ends of the hair before you use kanekelon.....this way you wont have to braid the ends together for them to stay

omfg, you are soooo freakin' gorgeous!!!!!
I absolutely loved this tutorial! Your explanation is so clear and your work speaks for itself. Keep it up!
The marley looks so beautiful and natural
I like the Marley hair. I love how easy it is to use and how natural it looks.
I know I'm late but you are the only person whose video I've watched on doing these twist that I understand. Thank you so much! Also, do you remember how much the Marley hair cost? That's my favorite.
The marley hair looks way more natural
The Marley hair ❤️❤️❤️ omgosh, this is my favorite tutorial video for this hairstyle. So excited to try it! 😝
Marley hair is better looking for ppl with natural hair. The more straight hair might blend better with permed hair I think
I like the Marley. It blends well with your roots. Like it almost look naturally. ❤️
you did did a great job.. But the MARLEY hair looks better..
I love the Kanekalon hair best! But you can't go wrong either way, pretty girl rock! Thanks for helping us chicks get our hair together!!
I watched this just because you're so beautiful
Love the shine on the first hair. Love love.
You are so beautiful. Its crazy.
Thank u :D
I love this video! You made this look so easy! I prefer Kanekelon only because it's cheaper and I like the shine. Also, if you boil some water (remove it from the burner) and carefully dip the ends into the water it will seal the ends. I dip my braids because I don't like the burned tips but only Kanekalon hair will work NOT silky braid. This weekend I am trying this!
The Marley hair wins
I agree :) lol

Thank you for this comment! I have never done braided extensions and I want to do the same thing you did! This video looks very helpful.
you look very pretty without fake hair
I lke the energy of the video! The twists look great and I like the Kanekalon braids more!
Omgosh. I was completely distracted by the fact that her face is fuh-lawless.
Both styles look great. I love the details and how short the video is. Awesome job!
i like cenacolon
Marley is the obvious winner but I do admit that Kankelon shine is amazing and it seems to match your Hair's texture and shine. Also have you thought about adding a lil fire to the ends of Kankelon to seal it??Thank you so much for this video. I braid my girls and others occasionally but this has inspired me to try doing my own yessss that $100 do be killing ugh. Thanks Diva!
I really like the silky hair and i love the bun with your tappered sides and back. Super cute!
I'm only replying because we have the same last name 😂
I really loved both looks. I would say I preferred the Marley hair. It looks more natural and I think even when it got old it would still look cute on you. Now I want o buy Marley hair for when I wanna do my senegalese twists. PS You are too gorgeous!
I love this video and it taught me a lot. I'm currently frowning out my hair and want to do protective styles like this to do so. What advice would you have for people with 3c/3b hair so they won't slip out?
you make it look so easy. btw it's hard to pick which one is best because you're gorgeous both look marvelous!
OMG, YOU ARE A LIFE SAVIOR LOL !!!!! YOUR TECHNIQUE SAVE ME ME SO MUCH TIME... I CAN THANK OU ENOUGH. IN MY OPINION YOU LOOKED FABULOUS IN EITHER STYLE BUT THE MARLEY STANDS OUT.
ENJOY,
Deborah
You look great with both! :D
But the Marley hair looks the best I think cause it blends so nicely.
I love them both!! But the Marley hair is where it's at!!! Your gorgeous!!
Your tutorial has been such a great help !!!
love them!!
very inspirational vid. after watching several times i did my daughter's hair. epic success! she loves it!
👑You are so beautifully polished gem! Personally love the Marley twist.😍
Loved your tip on sectioning the hair first I think it made a lot of difference with my installation time!
OMG I love this look!! Both styles look great on you, but personally I like the Kanekalon because it's so shiny.
They both look so nice. You did a beautiful job thanks for tips. For myself I would choose the kanekalon hair.
The Kanekelon hair is beautiful! Yes honesty rock that
they both look really pretty I'm glad you showed both. I like how shiny the braiding hair looked but I worry it won't hold as long as the marley hair but I've seen other vids on here where they braid an inch or so first and then twist and that may help with the slippage
Love how simple and easy you made this look ,gonna try it soon. .
Great vid, marley hair looks great!! I recommend if you want to use kanekalon hair for twists you make the twists smaller because it doesn't hold that well for large twists
they both look great, I like the Marly hair because it looks more natural and the end hold better, I also like the regular extentions because of its shine and length.
fantastic job, I love the marley hair, only thing I like about the kanekalon hair is the shine! your so pretty!
Both hair choices look AMAZING on you - your face is gorgeous! Thank you for getting right into the tutorial...........
Love love love the tutorial! Marley hair rocks!!!
The Marley hair looks great! more volume and looks much more natural than the other type. Im definately leaning towards getting marley twists!
