Gosh, this has got to be the best video review I've seen in a while. 🙏🏼
Thanks very much!
Very detailed review. Thanks so much. I ordered one of those to get better cycling footage for my channel. It sure seems like a step up from my aging Scam 4000.
Yes it is a very good camera, but it definitely works best at 30fps. I found 60fps too inconsistent.
love the review mate, thanks, going to get one now
Loved the review... Plenty of info and just what I needed to know about the device. Thank you
Thanks for checking it out.
I watched number of review videos for this particular action camera but this one stands out. So precise and nicely explained. This will make easy to decide to buy this camera.
Thank you for the kind words. Much appreciated!
Great review. Massive effort goes to make this review. Thanks a lot sir. You deserve more subscriber.
Thanks for the kind words. Yes, it does take a lot of time and effort to produce these action camera reviews, but I do enjoy it.

Awesome review. Congrats!
Very good review....NICELY Explained everything. Best review of this camera on youtube
Thanks very much for the kind compliment!
your review make me wanna buy right now... super complete review
Thanks very much!
Very helpful review. Thanks
Thanks for checking it out.
As a German, I bought the X30 online - and only looked it up after the review on UA-cam.
My English writes google.translater, I don't understand this language very much. But this detailed report is so convincing in picture and sound that you even understand it as possibly Chinese;)
! ** a big thank you from Germany **!
Great review.. I bookmarked it so I can watch it more than one
great review bud thanks very much you sold me on it iam going to buy it now . wayne from australia
Hi Wayne, Thanks for the compliment. The Campark X30 is indeed a very good camera for the money. I hope you'll be happy with it.
Thanks for the detailed explanation.
No problem. Thanks for checking out my review.
A very good informative review. Thank You
Glad you found it informative. Thanks for watching.
Great review. Thanks
Thanks for watching.
Lots of good info. I have been looking for a cheap action camera. You sold me on this one.
Thanks. It is one of the better performing inexpensive action cameras that I have tested. It is a good choice.
Very good review!! Thanks for being so thorough! I love the campark colors as it pics up almost real colors if you adjust for sunny, cloudy...etc. I just sent my Campark x20c upgraded version back as the eis kept doing a very bad shake (like an earthquake) that even with a gimbal and me walking very smooth still made the videos unusable. Maybe I should try this next.
Thanks for watching. I was very pleased with the EIS capabilities of the X30 camera myself.
@@TheOneCanoe I ordered the Campark V30 shortly after the last comment. It had problems with the camera ( would not take pics) and also it had tiny particles inside the lens affecting the quality of videos... so I sent it back and they gave me another as a replacement. Then it also took very shaky videos like an earthquake. Then I decided to do a factory reset and that fixed the problem! Had I known that I bet the 20x would have worked great too! I still may get the x30 as your video looks great! Thanks again!
Great review 👍
Very good review sir, exactly what i needed
You explained dash cam feature 👍
Hey Ayushman, glad you found it helpful sir.
Very well reviewed, thank you for your effort.
Thanks for checking out my review.
Hi, great video! Could you do a review of the victure AC900 camera ? I'm I have seen other videos on it but they aren't anywhere near the detailed explanation of it's workings and features that you show and explain how they work. Keep up the great work because your videos are the best!!!😁. Merry Christmas and have a happy and prosperous New Year.
Hey David, thanks for the compliment. Actually the folks at Victure just sent me an AC900 for testing, so I’ll be working on that review shortly.
@@TheOneCanoe awesome, I can't wait to see it. I just moved to the phillipines and I couldn't find any sellers on Amazon to ship me a crosstour 9500😒 so, I ordered the AC 900 and, I can't wait to see your "in depth" review of it! Thanks again😁
Briljant video man, congratulations !!!
Thanks
great review.I set it as video loop.It runs out of space in memory card ,earlier recordings are not overwritten
Excellent video. Thank you.
Thanks
Excellent review!!!
Thanks
Sir, thank you for an elaborate review... One of the best method of reviews I've seen till date!
Does this camera support "motion detection"? I need that to capture birds !!!
Regards,
Hey Rajeev Hemmady, sorry but this camera does not have any 'motion detection' features. My suggestion would be to set up the camera, connect to the wifi app and trigger the camera remotely when the birds land in front of it.
@@TheOneCanoe thank you for your prompt reply n suggestion.
Regards,
😊🙏
Thanks, for the review. I am looking for something I can mount on my 'track car' on the rollbar. Have you tried using it as a dashcam? would you recommend it as such?
Thank you for this review of the x30,i have just purchased one and the isteady pro 3 gimble, let's hope it's as good as it looks..👍5 star review.
It’s a good camera for the price. That gimbal should allow for some creative shooting. Have fun!
@@TheOneCanoe had to send camera back was faulty, got a akaso v50 pro instead 👍
One of the best review on the Campark X30.... Thank you for that :)
Do you have any experience with the Campark V30?
Hi Bent Hillerup...no the only Campark camera I have used is the X30.
Great info...thx
You're welcome.
Very good review sir, thanks
Thank you!
Really awesome Fantastic review bro
Thank you Saran T, much appreciated!
Best vdo on campark, can I set the FoV to medium and narrow setting in 8x slow motion.
Hi Wayne, I really enjoy your reviews, Great job. I have a question for you. Will the X20 remote control work on the X30? (or any other remote control for that matter?). There are situations where I don't want to use my phone to control it.
The X30 does not come with a remote control.I don’t know of any other way to operate it remotely other than using wifi and the app on your phone.
Hi Mr Jennings, first off I'd like to thank you for your very specific and detailed reviews. They're very thorough unlike some other reviews I've seen on UA-cam. Also thank you for your time and effort in editing. I am an editor myself so I know how much time it can take to do stuff. I have a question if you don't mind. I bought the cam park x 20 to shoot an outside wrestling event. I shot it in 120 FPS 720p because I wanted the smooth slow motion. Well I want to upgrade to the x30 because I want to go up to 1080p 120 FPS. The question was, when I used the x20 inside at 1:20 FPS, the lights flickered. shooting in my room or in any room at night time with the lights on caused the lights to flicker and playback. Does the x30 do this as well at $120 FPS 1080p? Thank you very much for reading and thank you for your time.
I think the flicker will occur with any camera when shooting under artificial light. The ‘flicker’ occurs because the lights are operating on AC current which alternates 60 times a second, so when you shoot at frame rates higher than 60 you get issues with the light output and the frame rate being out of sync. which results in a strobing or flickering effect. Higher end cameras with adjustable shutters can compensate for the flicker, but most inexpensive action cameras do not have that feature.
@@TheOneCanoe well that's unfortunate. Thank you for your response
After your amazing review, I bought it. thanks
Thanks. It's a good camera for the price, lots of nice features. Hope you'll be happy with it.
Did you test what the maximum distance is you can use the wifi at. i plan to sit in a hide about 20m away and want to know if the wifi controls would work with the camera at that distance.
Hi!!! i m bit confused between SJcam 6 and campro x30!! which is best for moto vloging and etc??? Plz help me out 😑😶
Hey nice review...
The best review video ever seen
Lots of love from India ❤️
Thank you. Much appreciated! Watch for my newest Campark review coming soon...the dual-screen, waterproof V40.
@@TheOneCanoe sir please also make a video on how to connect an external mic to my campark x30. This will helps me a lot. ❤️
@@pendu_surfer5360 That camera (Campark X30) does not have a microphone input jack, so you cannot connect an external mic. However what I do is record audio separately using a digital audio recorder (Zoom H1), then I synchronize the audio track when I edit the video. Here is a video that demonstrates this process: ua-cam.com/video/sw914bw_pGw/v-deo.html
Have you tested how smooth the autofocus is while panning
Hi mate, thank you for the very informative review, one of the best. Just one question, in Photo mode, coul I use the Distortion Correction as well as the FOV settings? Thanks again.
In photo mode the distortion correction does not function, however the 3 different FOV settings do work while on photo mode.
@@TheOneCanoe In that case, would the FOV settings get rid of the fish aye? The purpose of my question is to try to use this little camera to take a few snap shots as well, but without the fish aye. Thanks again
I would like this, or something similar, to use as a dashcam
Would wish to keep some video, such as driving along scenicor mountain roads My motor car is sixty three years old and would like some good video to look back on
You state this camera could be used Does it produce one long video or cut it up into many short sequences Enjoyed watching
Wonderful review sir ❤️👍
Thank You!
My Surfola sf230 action camera has 720p 120fps, 1080p 30fps and 60fps, 2.7k 30fps, and 4k uhd 30fps.
It does 20 mega pixel photos, waterproof down to 132 ft, and it has tons of accessories except for a battery dock charger
One of the few/best intelligent reviews of this camera; Your example 'shots' show what is possible with an under $70 (USD today) action camera, I am not surprised about the 4K60 issues considering the price. This camera with an external mike input would be ideal, and thank you for the audio issues example but how did you resolve it?
For best audio results on a camera like this, I record my audio on a separate digital audio recorder and then 'sync' the audio to the video when I edit. It may seem like a lot of extra work, but it is worth the effort to get superior sound. Check out this link that explains this technique: ua-cam.com/video/sw914bw_pGw/v-deo.html
how does v30 campark compares to campark x30? which is better?
I have one of these cameras. Standard 4K has a resolution at 3840 X 2160. This camera has a resolution of 3200 X 1800. That means it's really a 3K camera. I still like it though. Thanks for the review. It helped.
whats the difference between this and Campark V30 Native 4K Action Camera
Really nice videos. Top. Which camera would you recomend for bicycle riding and some vacation video,timelapse...nothing out of the ordinary.thanks
The Campark X30 that I reviewed is certainly a very good camera for the price. I have also had excellent results with the Crosstour CT9500 which cost less and produces great video. I’ve recently been trying out a VanTop Moment 5C ( review coming soon ) and am very impressed. Of course if you want to spend more money, you can’t go wrong wit GoPro or SONY.
Thank you for taking the time. I will check out this two cameras aswell. Keep up the good work
Best review of this camera
Thanks, much appreciated!
Excellent review from a so it seems an excellent product!!
Yes, this is a good performing camera considering the low price point.
What I like too, is the way of sharing the information. Some folks make quite a show out of it and it can make me feel restless. This is, well, like a nice conversation. Ty very much for just that
Hi, Can this be used as a webcam?
Hi! Which camera do you recommed, the CamPark X30 or the Victure AC900?
Thank you by your reviews! :)
Of those 2 cameras I personally prefer the Campark X30.
What’s the difference between Campark x30 and v30?
Hello and thank you for the video. I hear that the 4k60 is not good in the X30. Can you please explain why I would expect 60 fps versus 30 fps please? for what specific application for example? If I would like to zoom into some far away sections of the video, does 30 vs 60 impact the zoom quality? thank you
No , the X30 does not shoot consistent 4K, 60 fps video. Personally, the only time I would want 60 fps is if I wanted to slow down the video in post production. For me 4K 30 works just fine. The higher frame rate has nothing to do with the ‘sharpness’ of the video. If you want to be able to zoom in on a scene my suggestion would be to shoot everything at 4K, but edit in 1080, that way you can zoom or crop or pan the video without loosing much quality or aharpness.
When i make video's
There's not much volume pls help..
True and genuine review, wonderful job done sir 👍👍👍
Thanks!
Great review. 100% satisfaction 👍👍👍👍👍👍🏆🏆🏆🏆🥇🥇🥇🥇🙏🤗
Hey man, thanks very much!
I'm looking to get one of these to replace my ageing GoPro Hero 3 plus, would you recommend it?...
Yes, I would recommend it, considering the price point on that camera (around $69) it is a good buy, and the newest version of that camera now comes with a plug-in microphone allowing you to get good audio as well as good video.
Hello Sir, could you tell me, how you connect your digital audio recorder with this camera campark x30?
The digital audio recorder is used as a 'separate' device and the audio is then synchronized with the video when I am editing. Please check out this video I did that explains the process: ua-cam.com/video/sw914bw_pGw/v-deo.html
Sir what application should I install to use it by my phone. Can u please tell me the use of accessories also
The app is called 'DV KING 4K'
Hi what resolution do you have your camera set? I was messing around with my camera and now I am unable to load videos on here.
For the review I had the camera set to all the available resolutions, 720, 1080, 2.7K and 4K. The only issues I had was getting 4K 60 video to play back smoothly.
Dude you should have your own TV show. Highly professional review.
Thanks very much William!
Muy buen video,bien explicado .
Thank you!
Does this action camera hv car dash cam mode? I want to use it as car dash cam as well as in bike, cycling etc.
Yes, it has a dash cam mode.
Is this straight from tje camera
Is there any option to connect an external mic in it?
No, no external (plug-in) microphone option on that camera.
It could be better if you do the comparison video for the actioncamera you reviewed
Is it possible to put an external mic thru USB connection?
No, this camera does not work with an external microphone.
Bought a different brand for the time lapse. Unfortunately their instructions only showed how to set the amount of seconds between each shot.
So I emailed them, and while they wanted to help, there might be a language barrier. They could not tell me how after setting how many seconds between shots how to turn the time lapse on and getting it to work.
How does it activate on the Campark? I have 3 of their game cameras which work fine.
Usually, on most Action Cameras that I've used...the act of setting the time between shots on the "time-lapse menu' will automatically set the camera to record a time lapse segment. Just set it on a tripod, hit the record button and let it do it's thing.
Which is best x40 or the x30 as the X40 only does 4K at 30 frames
I was not very pleased with the quality of the 4K60 from the X30. I actually think 60fps is a waste of time for the average shooter (requires better lighting so not as good in low light) and is really only useful if you require a slow-motion effect in post production. Overall, I like the images from the X40, and prefer the dual-screen design. I also think the newest version of the X40 now ships with an external microphone.
Can you use an external mic on it
No, there is no microphone input Jack, so you cannot use an external mic.
Just bought one for £43 in UK your Review Swung it for me, your a nice person DUH as if you didnt have a vague idea...
It's a pretty good camera for the price. Hope it works out for you.
Where did you buy it from please ?
Thank you for the video! Is it possible to connect an external microphone?
Unfortunately, that model does not support the use of an external microphone. Too bad, otherwise it is a very capable action camera.
@@TheOneCanoe Yeah, thats bad, nevertheless, there is their V30 model with that option, however, it has bit downgraded resolution, what is also bad :D, and I'm bit confused with my future choice...
hi, so whats the digital voice recorder you are using?
That is a Zoom H1 digital audio recorder.
I wanted to ask if there is an LED indicator when recording
Yes, but not on the front of the camera :(
Hi.
Too bad, as always activating the image stabilizer decreases the viewing angle and we are no longer in 170°. On the films of my trackdays I don't activate the stabilizer because I need the widest possible angle and 170° so...
Yes, unfortunately that is a common issue with EIS systems… they always tend to crop.
@@TheOneCanoe
Last week I was looking for a second actioncam 4K that wasn't too expensive to film my trackdays (even if I film in 2K, it's good enough for editing and sending to my UA-cam channel), for the moment only 1 on my current 3 is 4K.
The 170° angle was important for me, my current 4k actioncam must have 130-140° maximum and only my old Sony AS15 1080p has this angle.
I looked at several tests and opinions on this one and your video ended up convincing me. I should receive my X30 this week bought on a French site 2 days ago.
I suspect that the quality will not be at the level of more expensive hundreds of Euros like the GoPro but no problem.
My main wishes are that it has a real 170° angle (without the stabilizer therefore ^^) and that it correctly manages the differences in contrast due to the changing luminosity.
how is the battery life if we shoot video in 1920x1080 at 30 FPS?
Probably anywhere fro 60 to 90 minutes.
everything is quite good, except the 4k/60 mode is most likely to be fake because either the resolution is not actually 4k or the frame rate is not actually 60fps. however, the 4k/30 mode (without EIS) is likely to be all real and works well.
Agreed, yes I had poor results trying 4K/60. I think it must be interpolated since the specs on the chipset show only 4K/30.
Go into video settings and change the Main Record Encoding Type to H.265. Doing that gives you true 4k.
What software are you using on your computer for video editing?
I use Magix Vegas Pro. Check it out on Amazon: amzn.to/2JOp1il
Campark v30 Years model? And campark x30. ..? News model???
Thanks sir.from Pakistan
Hey Ratas Hussain, thank you for watching from Pakistan!
Hello TOC!! Very nice video. I'm Spanish, so sorry for my bad english.
I've bought one of this camera but I'm really new managing cameras. So I'm recording at 720 30fps because recording time in my off-road and road bikes riding, but sound delays 1.2 seconds from the image and the more recording resolution I set the more sound delay I have in my recordings. It could be for the micro sd card?? mine is a Samsung 64Gb UHS- I U3, are there any set I don't know how to use??, or my device doesn't works properly?? what do you think as an expert??
Thank you in advance from Spain.
I've never come across that problem. That micro SD card should work. It sounds like there might be a problem with the camera, perhaps you should see if you can exchange it for a new one.
@@TheOneCanoe thank you for your reply.
well I've been advised by an expert that it is because the format recording. I'm recording in h264 and I should change to h265 but my camera is a 2019 camera and it hasn't that option behind video menu FOV as I saw in your good video.
Thank you and congratulations for your channel.
Sir you’re a top gun! Please, what about battery performance?
Regards.
Thanks for the compliment. In a continuous recording test, shooting at 1080-30, I was able to record 1:31:23 on a fully charged battery.
where to buy micro hdmi cable ??
On Amazon: namzn.to/3vnsYOF
Can this cam except mic input via USB?
No, unfortunately this camera will not operate with a plug-in USB mic.
Campark v30 vs x30, is the x30 the superior choice? Also does the x30 support the external mic?
I have not tested a V30, but comparing the specification sheets for both cameras it looks like the X30 offers a higher frame rate of 4K60 vs 4K30 and slower slow-mo...8x vs 4x. Other than those differences the two cameras appear very similar. I am very pleased with the quality and results I've obtained using the Campark X30.
@@TheOneCanoe Thanks for the reply. I recently picked up the V30 and just now seeing the X30. Do you have any idea if the X30 can support external microphones? The V30 can use the Akaso's which is mainly why I bought it.
Hi sir, I ended up buying this camera after your thorough review. Can you tell me if you noticed that the camera heats up after a while of recording? I was 45 min of testing when I went to stop it it was pretty hot. Is this normal? Thank you.
it's not unusual for these small action cameras to 'heat-up' during continuous use. I've noticed this many times with different brands.
TheOneCanoe Great 👍🏻, thanks for your help.
What do you use to edit with ?
Hey Gene, Mostly I use Vegas Pro for all my video editing, but I’ve also used Vegas Movie Studio, and Adobe Premiere as well.
How does this one compare to the Crosstour CT9500 if you ignore the price difference? Is the CT9500 better at anything or should the X30 be preferred?
Also, Amazon.de offers an X30 and an X30FR. Do you know the difference? Thanks!
They are both good cameras. For shooting video, both give sharp, well exposed video on all resolutions. Both do good 4K 30. The X30 claims 4K 60, but I did not have very good luck at that setting. The X30 has a touch screen and a tripod socket which the CT9500 lacks. The X30 had better EIS with less cropping. The X30 also has slower slo-mo (240fps vs 120 fps)and a manual shutter for long exposures on still photos. Both cameras were mediocre with sound quality. Both cameras did excellent time-lapse. And I have never heard of the X30FR...it's not even listed on the Campark web site.
@@TheOneCanoe Is the audio on the X30 better or is it the same? After checking both your videos, I would say the X30 is slightly better probably?
Thomas Börkel Yes, I’d say the X30 gives better audio. It records at a higher level, but brings up some of the backgrounds sounds a bit too much. It’s not horrible, but not as crisp as using a good digital audio recorder.
