The weakest thing about this action cam is the built-in microphone. Today I uploaded a review of the external microphone for this camera that will be released pretty soon. Thank you for watching.
My first Campark 4K had great image quality for a camera that cost me under $60, but i scratched the lens and was needing to replace it. I managed to find a used gopro hero 6 black, and wish I didn't because although it was a great price, the function isn't much better than the campark.
Really dumb question but how did you get the camera off of the stand they ship it in??? I was able to get the camera out of the waterproof case but can’t figure out how to get it out of the case that it’s attached to for shipping! I’ve looked all over in the manual and online but nothing! Any help would be awesome. It looks like you just popped it out but mine won’t. Any thoughts?? Thanks in advance 😊
I have no experience with the X30, but I know two major differences between these cameras. The X30 offers 4K 60fps. The V30 can only do 4K at 30fps. The V30 offers gyroscope image stabilization plus EIS. The X30 only has EIS. Superior stabilization is more important to me than the faster 4K frame rate, so I am happy to own the V30.
The mic is great and the stabilization was super! Great stuff! This would be perfect just for me using as a studio camera! What kind of mic connection does it have?
@@ThriftyAV Hello You could indicate by vaor what is the microphone you used in the presentation, why consult the Campark Support and they offer me to send it by mail, but it has a delay of more than 30 working days. Thanks in advance

See that band at the bottom of the screen showing the video resolution? How do you get rid of it? It blocks the bottom of the screen making it difficult to know what the bottom limit you are recording.
I have just bought one of these, so far I am quite pleased with it, but having just read of possible audio sync issues on videos over 5 or so minutes long, I tried to record a longer video to see if I had the same issue, but it only records in around 7:30 minute clips. This is with the loop recording off. Is this normal?
There is an option for an external microphone. It is a lavalier style microphone. I'm not sure how well it would work as a "helmet mic". The external microphone plugs into the micro-USB connection, so it cannot be used with the protective case without some type of modification. The battery is 3.7V Li-ion, 1350mAh. The unit comes with two batteries and an external 2-bay charger. It can also be charged inside the camera when hooked up to a power source via the USB connection.
I have not done a firmware update on this camera. There is a support Email on the product page if you would like to contact Campark about a firmware upgrade. www.campark.net/products/campark-v30-native-4k-20mp-eis-touch-screen-wifi-action-camera

With battery installed, the camera itself (no waterproof housing) weighs 6.8g. The box is came in is made of sturdy plastic and cardboard, and there were a bunch of accessories in the box. This may account for the shipping weight.

I have a quick question about this camera. I can connect it to my phones Wi-Fi. And when I turn the app on it shows that the cameras connected. Yet I can't do anything. Nothing. It won't let me do anything on the camera except turn off the Wi-Fi. And I cannot control the camera at all with my phone. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Cuz this is starting to bother me and I'm about to return this damn thing.
I don't have one, but my understanding is that three sizes of HDMI exist, with this being the smallest one called "micro HDMI". A search of Amazon revealed both a cable and an adapter.
ThriftyAV thanks for reply this may sound like stupid question but don't U need HDMI to down load video to PC. Do U need app and I can't seem to connect my WIf again thanks for your Q reply any hints on how to download video to Pc. A Utube video would be great
I've noticed some blockiness when I'm in a darker setting, but it isn't that bad if a well lit environment... However, I haven't done anything with fast motion, like on a motorcycle helmet!... I might try doing an A/B comparison between the H.264 and H.265 compression. Also WDR can help with high contrast shots, but with fast motion it can cause compression artifacts. It would be nice if high and low bitrates were available, like on the GoPro, but the V30 is a fraction of the price.
I had before some 4K* cheap cameras but quality was better i have 1 video on my channel recorded with cheap camera under £30 ( Honda Hornet CB600F "around my house") im still suprised how this clip looks compare to my GoPro 1080p 60fps. While driving on bike GoPro looks poor but cost me 4 time more.
Very helpful video. Great job on showing how to use this camera. Thank you for being so clear in your explanations.
I'm glad you got something out of this. There are a few followups where I use this camera again, but not as much detailed instruction on those.
I would like a video on how to mount these different parts
Thanks sir from Pakistan 🇵🇰

I couldn't even get the camera out of the waterproof casing!
The official manual was about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

I've been looking for a good price on a Hero Black, but I want a 7 or more recent so it is a definite upgrade over the Campark.

I discovered EIS (image stabilisation) does not work if distortion mode is on. Distortion mode has to be turned off.
Correct. One or the other. I go with EIS is the camera is subject to motion.
Is it just a problem on my end, or has the app dissappeared from the play store?
How much does it weigh? It says on Amazon 450grams (that's nearly half a kilo!) I can't believe it weighs that much!
