EASports still has rights to NCAA and the NFL. NASCAR product license for video games belongs to iRacing now. Different groups iRacing won't try to nickel and dime us like EASports, at least not nearly as bad.
I’m an iRacing nascar guy but I will definitely be supporting this on console and buying day one. Happy to see the NASCAR game series getting back to where it should be.
NR2003 is a masterpiece. I have no doubts you guys will nail the sim aspect of 25, but as a console player with limited time these days I hope you’re able to combine a brilliant sim experience with decent ‘pick up and play’ too. One of the few things that keeps me going with the Heat series (beyond a lack of alternatives!) is the fact I can jump in and have a quick blast. For all its faults/limitations it’s at least fun. Good luck with 25, can’t wait for it!
I’m hyped for this!! These guys are putting in the hard work that the fans needed, and their love for the older games shows. My first nascar was thunder 2004, and I miss when nascar was that good.
I really love how Dale Jr talks about learning and becoming a deeper fan of a sport through video games. I absolutely never would have gotten so deep into racing without the NASCAR Thunder series as a kid. NT04 truly changed my life forever when i bought it with some leftover Christmas money as a kid. The ability to connect with fans, especially young fans, seems to have never been realized by NASCAR until now. I'm so glad that's finally happening and I'm so hopeful for a great product!
I still have my N3 & NR2K3 game for PC and I know friends that are still racing NR2K3. Me, I finely made the move to Iracing in 2018 & I pretty much race nothing but NASCAR. Also I never was a console gamer, But I know this team can build it.
They better build it right. I'm tired of PC getting all the mods and all that for the next Gen cars for games such as Heat 4 and 5 with updated driver rosters. Most of all they better include prior generations of the Cup series and add legendary iconic cars such as Dale's #3, Darrell Waltrip's #11 Budweiser or The Silver Bullet.
finally. been a nascar fan since 1993 and those papyrus games were a huge factor in my fandom. i've bought so many BAD nascar games the last decade or so, its actually hurt my interest in the sport. can't wait to see what you guys are doing with the single player experience. already know how great iracing is and always has been.
Absolutley pumped. I played nascar 2003 by papyrus nonstop for years loved that game and the mid 2000 ea sports games i loved being able to do full season title fight with two players that was an absolute blast on the ea games with ur buddies
There is still a very large community that races weekly on NR2003, there’s new mods new tracks constantly made for it. I speak for all of us when I say if this is finally going to be an NR2003 sequel you’re going to make a bunch of grown men buckle and cry. Good on you and good luck with the title!
Hate to burst your bubble but modern consoles don't have quite the power of modern desktops so its kind of hardware restricted. It will be close but don't expect the same

Yeaaah no, it won't be, sorry. This game exists so your 7-year-old (and upwards!) can let out some hype for the Daytona 500 on their PlayStation before watching it on the TV, not as an eSports platform.
I just want: -Open and Private online lobbies -Passable prediction code -Good lobby structure and race setup options -The option to turn off assists to get a realistic driving experience -Realistic physics -Any sort of career mode that can be improved in updates or later releases Literally everything else is a bonus to me. I know it's just advertising but I love that they are pandering to people who appreciated Papyrus, D2D, and the mid 2000's EA games. I'm really optimistic for this. Being able to career-mode through the ranks and own teams and stuff would be a dream. Being able to set up a scored season you can compete in with your friends online without having to do it in an Excel spreadsheet would be amazing. A paint booth that you can upload your own images to would arguably be irresponsible, but is another thing I could see this group doing. This team could make one of the best racing games of all time. But us NASCAR platformers have been hurt so many times in the last 15-ish years. I stay nervous.
I will admit, I do hope for mods just like NR2003. It will be tricky to make mods, mainly due to the Iracing physics engine. However, there are a ton of talented modders who could add TONS to this game!
Can't wait to see the game and it's cool to see the older devs being able to make another nascar game. PS love to see test drive eve of destruction being remembered

The replay system in nr2003 brought a whole new dynamic into racing games: offline leagues. If the dev team can program it to operate without a player in-game (i.e demo mode), then it opens an entire new meta to explore on consoles.
Hoping for a good career mode and driver transfers at the very least. It really helps and makes you want to play deep into later seasons with drivers moving here or there. Especially nowadays when its more talked about than ever before.
Needs to have all the sim racing options with cockpit camera like seat moving, field of view, in-game wheel On/Off. I play World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing primarly on a wheel and it is missing all of the three things i mentioned. For the PC version there needs to be VR support too.
Biggest part of missing out on the only nascar sim available is the pay wall. On top of building a PC, the iracing platform is an incredible expense. Bringing a nascar sim back to console is a great move for those of us who are limited to them.
Game might as well have all 9 NASCAR series and most of their tracks I can name off the top of my head since all of that is already on the iRacing service. Did that with World of Outlaws, so screw it. Lol
@@DerrickRG dude what the AI are more than competent to race against, you can literally go run the 2023 season against the AI right now and have it be as hard as you like if that doesn’t cater to you then you are a super casual if you need anything else besides the pure racing experience thats all nice and we all want a long overdue NASCAR 03-07 career mode experience but the racing is what matters if they smash it out of the park with gameplay who cares about anything else..

I'm excited for Nascar 25 and definitely think they got the right guys to make it, but the past 15 years of Nascar games have given me some serious trust issues especially as someone who preordered Ignition. I'm not expecting a 1:1 iRacing for console, just a good, functional game and I hope they can at the very least live up to whatever they promise for this game. It's a low bar but every game since the mid 2000s has set the bar lower and lower.

I'm sure it won't. NASCAR 15, Heat Evolution, Heat 2, Heat 3, Heat 4, Heat 5, and the dumpsterfire that was NASCAR 21: Ignition were all made available for Steam on PC. I'm not sure about the games previously, but given that ALL of the last 7 NASCAR console games also got a PC release, I'm confident that NASCAR 25 will too.
So many NASCAR titles but nothing delivered what NR2003 bought to the table. It will be great to finally race something just as good as a game that was made 20 years ago!
This is very good news, but it is important to remember that they’ve yet to actually create this game. Hopefully it will be a great blend of the games that these people have worked on before, but it’s important to keep expectations in check. If we can’t get everything we hope for, I’d personally rather get a game with solid gameplay (physics and AI) and focus on more of the different features and modes in future games. We’ve seen what happens when gameplay isn’t made a priority; it’s hard to make it better later. So that needs to be the initial solid foundation that can be built upon later.
My introduction to Papyrus Nascar games was on a console... PS2 in 1996. I have graduated all the way up to Iracing, but I can't wait for this new console game.
If anybody deserves to make a NASCAR game the way it’s meant to be. It’s this group right here.

It's definetely gonna be like Gran Turismo - somewhere between arcade and full realism

Don't expect miracles year one. Give us a solid foundation with good quality of life features and build off of it.
