People were left without anything! People were lined up in Walmart parking area waiting for relief to come in, and some people got nothing having to live with people they didn't know. The waters were fast and furious and swept away everything! I'm sure they lost rugs a mile away in culverts, under houses, everywhere. I could never think staged!!!!

I think i have a theory for this idk why, so i think im going to start with a husband that hates cats so much he hated his wife and the wife hated him back so when the husband was gone to buy some whiskey’s the wife secretly bought a orange cat carpet and hid it under the bed untill the husband notices it and got mad so much even before he throws it out he grabbed and ran out to there garden where his wife planted some flowers and he took the dirt and turn it into mud then throws alot untill the garden dirt was all gone and the flowers left. And yeah i think thats what happend idk why.

Fast forward a few decades, and yes, they were right, flooding is becoming a fact of life in some places. Sad to say, government from national on down to local authorities have continued to choose to build on flood plains, water meadows and so on, ignoring the warnings, and now the people who bought those houses and buildings and set up home and business there, are paying the price for their short sightedness. That cat rug is the sweetest thing I've seen in a while, and it's a shame it was caught in a flood. It's amazing to see it go from a featureless dark blacking brown to a detailed ginger girl. I hope who ever ends up with it will treasure it for the darling it is!
Love the 17" block, used them for years in classrooms... we used extractors until we got clear water... using a block is very relaxing to me. Well done! 🎉

It never ceases to amaze, how so much water and soap can be used without just absolutely destroying the vibrant colors. This almost felt like a very prolonged version of the old "who's that pokèmon?" commercial bumpers. Extraordinarily satisfying, you gave this kitty a new lease on life. Any shelter would be proud.

Im so sorry the people went through what looked like terrible flooding. I imagine if that happened to me i would fear having to throw out my rug, which would hold a lot of meaning for me. @@ARM0RP0WER it's the area you live in. My grandma live in Jakarta, a city with bad drainage system. it was so bad just a little rain it'll flood the entire neighborhood. Sometime it's flooded with "clearer water" sometime it's a "black water filled with mud" like this At least by 2014-2015 the system started to get better. Tho it still flooding from time to time

Not to spoil the magic, but all the individual fibers, whether we're talking a woven rug or the loopy yarny rugs that more of us are probably acquainted with, end up with a ton of surface area, kind of like the tissue that makes up the lining of your small intestine.
You are blessed. You probably have never experienced flooding. You would have seen this already. I have multiple times throughout my life and yes carpets can absorb all this mud. Mattresses and all kinds of fabric just get completely trashed. Photos gone, those always hurt the most. But ultimately its just stuff. You can buy it back eventually.
When I go to a car-wash, there are almost always big clips for hanging up my floor-mats, and spraying them. I'm surprised you don't have something like that, so you can do a thorough initial cleaning of rugs that are especially messy.
Yeah you waste so much time having it laid flat absorbing the dirty water back into it. Even if you don't have clips to suspend it from pretty much everyone with a garden has a washing line you can hang it over & then you could beat the dried mud off the surface first too.
This is so sad it got as dirty as it did. Someone must've really loved this rug if of the few things they were able to save and paid to be fix was this. Im sure it must've been more vibrant/fluffier before but the fact is they were able to make it so sweet and beautiful again is amazing. It's obviously a childs rug so im sure it has many warm memories so this is just so wholesome to see the outcome

Okay, that rug is adorable and I love how thorough a job you do, but I have to say that you would waste less water, cleaning products and effort if you flipped the rug over after the first couple minutes and then rolled it up to squeeze out excess muck before doing the deep clean. Of course, there is every chance you know this and are humoring those of us who like watching your vids.
I've watched a lot of these videos and always wondered why the floor doesn't have tiny holes in for drainage. It would make more sense to do this on a slightly elevated metal platform, like a floating floor with thousands of tiny drainage holes. You wouldn't need to squeegee the floor and a lot of the crap on the opposite side of the rug would drain through during the initial cleaning.
I love how you don't ever stop till the water runs clear. No cutting corners and its honestly so satisfying

A lot of these rugs are made of polypropylene, a type of nylon so they are very tough.

Okay, that rug is adorable and I love how thorough a job you do, but I have to say that you would waste less water, cleaning products and effort if you flipped the rug over after the first couple minutes and then rolled it up to squeeze out excess muck before doing the deep clean. Of course, there is every chance you know this and are humoring those of us who like watching your vids.

I've watched a lot of these videos and always wondered why the floor doesn't have tiny holes in for drainage. It would make more sense to do this on a slightly elevated metal platform, like a floating floor with thousands of tiny drainage holes. You wouldn't need to squeegee the floor and a lot of the crap on the opposite side of the rug would drain through during the initial cleaning.
