Raya’s burger heels need to make a come back. That’s the only comment I have for this whole entire reboot.

i’m not finished with the video yet but “all american angel” being part of cloe’s marketing is taking me out

I still can’t believe I share a birthday with the Bratz. They’re exactly a year older than me, since my birthday is May 21st, 2002. I’ve never been so honoured in my life😭😭😭

Glad to see everyone agrees what the burger heels need to come back.

If anything, these dolls are a perfect time capsule of the mid 2010s. With the outfits, the box’ collage aesthetic and the hashtags, it all just screams 2015 tumblr/instagram!

"Jade here likes extreme sports and making her own outfits! yeah, we can tell girl" im having a bad day and this made me laugh so hard, thank you!! as someone who grew up with the original dolls i was never a fan of them but i can definitely admit that they weren't as bad as i thought initially. it's mostly just the clothing i have an issue with - there's a few cute items here and there but most of it is really not for me

It's funny that they were supposedly geared towards gen z, when the oldest gen z was already 18 by the time these dolls came out

The burger heels are a standout moment.

If I'm being honest, I dont even remember this era of Bratz (granted I was in 5th grade starting my Fnaf phase). Even now that I am back to doll collecting I am still in shock that this was even a thing 😭

The reboot wasn’t that bad, I agree. It has a special place in my heart, and it’s sad they did cut it off so fast because I could totally see improvements happening and the dolls heading in a better direction. Great video 😊🫶🏽

    Why it failed imo:

Honestly, while the marketing and some lines are painfully dated, I have a soft spot for this era. There was a ton that was…less than palatable, but overall it wasn’t the worst thing ever. I remember wanting the pyjama dolls so badly, and loved that they came with their pets.

Raya's Burger Shoes were ICONIC!!! They were so in character for her.

i definitely agree that one of the main issues w/ this era was that the designers weren't allowed to have any fun with the designs & everyone could tell :/

The custom bratz was a good idea, I could see them trying that again with more options avaliable

the reboot gives me disney live action remake vibes where it feels like so much of the marketing is based on how they've 'fixed' these female characters and made them more nuanced and independent (which really just means some surface level mantras tacked on), when in reality the original characters were already fine as they were, and people were just misogynistic towards them- but it's like that becomes the prevalent opinion, so the company feels like they have to respond to that rather than putting all their effort into making a high quality product for the fans. i was definitely a bratz kid growing up and i remember seeing the reboot on shelves for like half a year and just being underwhelmed by them. they're not awful dolls or anything, though. going back i probably would've at least bought music festival jade

i was 11/12 when these dolls came out, i guess the target audience , but god i thought these things were hideous, bless their hearts😭 the first and last time i came across them was the ‘hello my name is’ line in an outlet store and i honestly thought they were knock offs of some sort. the dolls that came out later on seem cute and i probably would have gotten one but the hashtag and emoji marketing was such an ick to me and unfortunately that seemed to be the one marketed the most where i live. and it was the height of the emoji printed clothes epidemic ! just a very unfortunate time for those girls fashionably 💔

As original line they were ok and even predicted the cutesy style wave of dolls during the fashion doll drought, it's just they didn't feel like bratz even with the name, lips and pop off feets.
