These movies were absolutely the building blocks of my personality, this video is SO spot on. The grading and categories are so correct I have GOOSEBUMPS. Need to immediately rewatch all of them for the millionth time, yaassssss mike
This video made me realize why i like Mike's channel so much. It's the references, of course it is! First, the sheer amount of them, then it's the way that they're crossed and woven and built on top of each other in such a insane way (like, structuring a video about 2008 british teen movies around BRAT? sorry luv that's insane) that you are bound to understand something even if you only get one reference, it's so good. And also how relevant they are to the NOW. Rather than giving these videos an expiration date (cause pop references do get stale), it makes each video a snapshot of the pop landscape at the time of release (through the lens of Mike) and like, the internet as well. And that's is VERY pop, and on purpose as well, and that's very Gaga of you Mike. Also not to mention the many subversions of the UA-cam video format, you're insane. So yes, your artpop could mean anything, and it means being chronicly online and being pop for pop's sake. Love you, love your art, keep it babe, bumpin' that

Omg if he did a full skins breakdown video I would be so happy. That show WAS my teenage years, sneakily watching it on the tv in the kitchen so my parents wouldn't catch me
yes to both comments!!!!
I want this so bad. Like a full deep dive. Skins was it for me and E4 owned the last half of high school . Mike would destroy a skins unhinged recap
Skins was basically gossip girl without the money or gossip 😂
I'd love to see a Skins video! It was filmed near me which meant we had auditions at my school and I had friends who were in it. It was really the 2008 teen phenomenon for us
the sheer giggles of georgia in the olive costume I got and the absolute BANGERS changed me
Naur you don't understand how iconic this is
These movies were absolutely the building blocks of my personality, this video is SO spot on. The grading and categories are so correct I have GOOSEBUMPS. Need to immediately rewatch all of them for the millionth time, yaassssss mike
All these films are my CHILDHOOD I adore thank you so much for talking about these 🙏🙏
This video made me realize why i like Mike's channel so much.
Love you, love your art, keep it babe, bumpin' that
he is just one of a kind and i love him sm for it❤️
Video slayed, scoring system was in fact criminal behaviour but this is the MMCU and we are just living in it so I'll give you this one.
20:18 Juno Temple lmao Juno Birch is our alien goddess queen
Wonder if he did that on purpose 😂
@@mercer345 he did it twice lol
I did a double take when he said Juno Birch; for a sec just accepted that she was in a British teen movie from 2008
simply have never heard of st. trinian's but i love how passionate you are mr microphone
Oh my god i never thought I'd see mikes mic do a comparison of my three fave movies of all timw
The smoothest transition to ad read, honestly, ART
The actress who played Verity was such a staple villain of early 2000s movies I hope she’s doing well
Lucy Punch for ever slays!!!
She was the mean girl in Ella Enchanted too 😭 I saw her in an ep of what we do in the shadows and I had whiplash 😂
A girl who knows how to be a bitch
@@zandeis yes! I loved her in that movie too!
She's kind of the villain mum in a newer British comedy called Motherland which is hilarious
a deep dive into St Trinian's 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold (2009)...... would make me very happy
It’s a little bit scary how genuinely good this is
