Great review considering you only had one hour with the car! Cannot wait for the full in-depth review. This CX-60 is a stunning machine and far more appealing to me than any Audi BMW or Mercedes-Benz at this price. Shame you didn't get to go to Turkey with Bob, that would have been epic! @@NobbyOnCars it's not unfortunately, you'll never see a rotary engine in its original form ever again. It's rumoured to be coming back as a range extender for those god awful electric cars but it's going to be a miserable thing and nothing like the original rotary engine
Mazda are a brilliant car company that traditionally produces great cars. I have an MX5 25th anniversary edition ( modded) and it's an absolute peach of a car. The cars they are producing over the past few years are superb

I had heard it was hard to match but my CX 5 in that color got hit while parked and the body shop that repaired it did a fantastic job. Matched it perfectly!.

Great video as always. I recently ordered a 2023 Toyota RAV 4 PHEV, and was wondering what your thoughts where on the CX-60 vs this. I really wanted the RAV4 in the Red like you had in your RAV4 PHEV review a while back but for 2023 they have removed this colour option, so went for the Dark Grey.
I really like Mazdas and am currently driving my second 6, and while i find this interesting, i overall don't like "SUVs" or hybrids. I only like manual petrol saloons and sports cars and still most want a manual petrol fourth gen 6! :D .
The front grill and bumper is better. Soul Red is a good color but it needs more black trim to set it off. It's almost to much red. No wheel well and side trim to protect paint.
After 2 cx 5 s in machine grey my new cx60 Homura is in white which looks classy but having seen the pictures of my car in machine grey i am still of opinion machine grey is the best colour match. Soul red suits the smaller models more in my opinion.
Hi. I know they are a different class of car but how would you compare this Mazda to a 2023 Subaru Forester Xe Premium you drove sometime ago. Build quality, ride etc? Cheers.
Mazda cx 60 has more head room and a proper 8 speed gearbox plus the EV holds its electric power up to 70 mph instead of lexus petrol engine kicking in at around 30 mph.The engine and gearbox sound great compared to the whiny rubber band gesbox in the lexus models. Also spec for spec the mazda is £3000 or more cheaper than lexus and £7000 To £10 000 less than a loaded BMW or Audi. I dont regret buying my cx 60 homura at all.
Nobby when do you think will have full review of cx60 you mentioned above. Interested to get price compare versus other suv phevs it is looking to compete with?
When in ev only mode it still seems ro kick into engine mode when accelerate quickly as to9m out for test drive .Thought this feature only when in hybrid mode?
I have mine for a few weeks now and I must say that the suspension is firm but at the same time comfortable. With the preproduction cars, which were used in the reviews late 2022, the suspension had some isues in bouncing after a speedbump but Mazda has obviously tackled that because I haven't experienced that at all. The way the car handels on the road is a combination of comfort and sporty. Great (car) value for money in my opinion.

I’m kind of disappointed in the lack of modernization of the infotainment. The Thick bezel looks cheap. If TVs can have thin bezels, why can’t a car that’s $50K
Agreed, the Koreans and Japanese manufacturers all think they're luxury marques now. The problem with pricing so high is you start to overlap pricing of status symbol brands like Porsche.

Took delivery of mine 2 weeks ago in Homura Soul red crystal done 350 miles, the drive train is seamless cannot feel or hear switching from one to the other....1st ever owned Mazda...truly amazed at how it drives and the quality is top notch...love it

I really like the way Mazda do things which is often at odds to "other" manufacturers. On your comment I've just rung up my local dealer who have always serviced my Mazda's and I've got a test drive at 4pm. If it appeals that much I'll consider cancelling my order for a new Nissan Ariya due March next year. I''ll report back...
@@K22MDL Lol...no slur for my car....I bought it without a test drive too......a bit of a risk but bloody worth it...sporty..and so much more quality than a Datsun..lol.of course no slur on your ordered car, not sure infrastructure wise I am ready for full electric...so best of both worlds....also got discount via Coast2 coast....quids in.....40mph stick it in sports mode then floor it....I had an R32 and it sounds just as good and a lot quicker.....just love it.....

Similar in size, from a similar part of the world, it's a really tough call. The design of this is less boxy, both have decent interiors, it really is a tough one.

hi Stephen - the RAV is a great car, no doubt about it. CX-60 does feel a step up again but to be fair, the car in this video is almost 60k!

Build quality in the Subaru was really good, just not up to the premium finish of these.

only problem with mazda cars is lack of space inside....long hood looks nice but it messes up space inside

Very similar Phev setup to Rav 4. After 9000km getting 2.4 l/100km 115mpg overall average. Lots of 20km trips with monthly 500km round trips.
