Ya. There are several mistakes in this video. Tuna twist was discontinued due to additives that made some people sick. Reggie bars were just rebranded preexisting candy bars and were still around after dropping the Reggie name. Fruit brute was still around in the 80s. We sure as heck had Choco diles on the East Coast. A lot of what they show is not what they are talking about. And volume goes up and down several timrs
The stuff from the 70 s that I wish would come back are the Nestles Chocolate Almond Bar, Bordens Banana Fudge Ice Cream Sicles, Dolly Madisons snack cakes & fruitpies, Nabiscos Cinnamon & Sugar Cookies 😊.
I remember eating one as a child, I was born in 1981, so they still exist when I was little. And yes, they did taste amazing. Also dipping one, a twinkie in melting chocolate would work too.
Space food sticks were an acquired taste,we took them as a burst of energy food when we were snow skiing. 😉🐈⬛🐈💖🌈🎄 My family calls canned cheese sleazy cheese.
In Canada we had Squeeze a Snack that was a processed cheese that came in a plastic tube that you punctured at the plastic dispenser that had an x in it. Then you squeezed the cheese out of the tube. It was around into the mid 80’s and I miss it because the cheese was so good.
Remember the Bandido Eraser for your pencil that you would get when you would buy a bag of Fritos? Cracker Jacks had some pretty nice things in there packages too, like paper tattoos, mini magnifying glass made out of plastic etc. And, don't forget Totinos Round Pizza, you can still get them today, and they are just as good in my opinion.
I remember my dad fixing the TV dinners when my mom was in the hospital after having my sister. He would burn them but the middle would still be half frozen 😂
I rarely got to eat the Swanson TV dinners, it took 50 minutes in the oven😢. I liked most of the items mentioned, the cheese in a can was my favorite, on everything!
So many great memories! I remember those space food sticks. I kept looking for them in the store for ages hoping I would find them again! Same with the Jell-o 123. I loved that stuff!
I often think about the 1-2-3 Jello especially at Christmas Time,.Mom made it for when the what is now Cartoon Classics were on...Hey, remember the FIZZIES flavor tablets??
AND THERE IT IS! WAS WONDERING WHEN SOMEONE WOULD MENTION LATCH-KEY KIDS AND WHY THESE SNACKES WERE THE ONLY GOOD PART OF BEING A LATCH-KEY KID! I SPEAK FROM EXPERIENCE. GODS BLESSINGS...
I made multi-layered jello in the 80s without the mix. You let the jello set to soft stage, then whip it in the blender til frothy. Pour into glasses or a fancy bowl and put it in the fridge. The foam rises slowly to the top as it sets.
I am from Chicago, and a 70' s kiddie. Some food items I recall, but I think some were popular in other states, or I was too young to remember them. I really liked banana flips.
I miss: * Marathon bars (which I read is the same as a Cadbury Curly Wurly) * Drakes Swiss Rolls (always gradually unrolled them to eat them) * Heart-shaped Sweet 16 chocolate covered toffee ice cream on a stick in early to mid-70's. (I can't even find pics of them online...) * Vienetta ice cream desserts
Burst gum freshn up i believe it was called, then the Dr pepper, A& W Rootbeer, 7up & other big juice gums also. And Nestle Alpine Candy Bars. At least In Texas about 41 yrs ago. Lol
When I was younger, that cheese spread in a can was a DELICACY to me. By the way, it’s still around, only they call it Easy Cheese and they pared down their flavor assortment
Being called "Goofy Grape", in elementary school, was a scathing insult. It brought negative attention to both your looks and intelligence. Jello 123 was fun.
Chocodiles were the best!!! Yes, I grew up in California and eating them when the warm sun melted them just a little bit in the bag on the way home or to the park, made them even better.
I'm in Canada and I dont remember.any of these being on our shelves; although Funny Face drink mixes kind of look familiar. We had a candy bar similar to Marathon called Wigwag.
Bring back walnettoes, Nesbitt brand strawberry soda, '70's prices, even frozen dinners had more quality, bring back Buckwheat cereal, bring back French Vanilla Jazz Pepsi 0 calories, bring back full cookie aisles not halves, Tuna Helper, bring back English Muffin bread, Van de Kamps choc chip cookies, bring back Stouffer's chicken fried steak dinners, baked spaghetti and cheddar chicken pasta dinners.
Chocodiles were my go to Omgawd. They can’t ever make it now because they would just ruin it. Canada has something similar. Except they have a thin raspberry layer added. Idk if they still have em
I remember most of them. All of them were good, except for Tuna Twist. I hated tuna back in the 70s. Still hate tuna today. Tuna sucks. Smells and tastes like like cat food.
My mother would let me have only one Space Food Stick a day because of something called "Calories". I was 5 and slim. But I learned that calories are bad.
The Jell-O 1-2-3 was fun to eat and delicious.
@@derrickjohnson5219 I was just trying to remember the name of this jello dessert
@@derrickjohnson5219 I’ve been missing the Jello 1-2-3’s forever! They were SO good! ❤️
@@derrickjohnson5219 I found an off brand of it one time in the past decade or so! I loved it!
@@derrickjohnson5219 💯 so good!
Bring it back! I loved it!!!! ❤❤❤
Mug o lunch weren't frozen, they were the ramen noodles of the 70s. Open the pouch into a cup and add boiling water.
I loved the mac & cheese! 🥰
Oh haha I thought he said Muggle lunch and was about to look it up!

I ate this a lot!
I remember picking out cereal for the toy in it!
In the 80s I did this!
Me too
Exactly. Always picked Cereal for the toy, lmao. Great memories.
Yup! I did this in the 60s.
The stuff from the 70 s that I wish would come back are the Nestles Chocolate Almond Bar, Bordens

Especially the Dolly Madisons.
Banana-sicles!!
I loved choco-diles!!! Wish they still made them!!!

@susanm7925 Thank you. I'll look for them. Things just don't taste the same like back in the day! 😮💨
@livininthemoment2819 true. Or it could be aging taste buds. Dunno!
I would love to see these delicious snacks make a comeback
Cheese Tid-bits were not square. As evidenced by the video footage you included of the box they came in.
U can make chocodiles.
Partially freeze twinkies.
Make a chocolate shell dip, [melted chocolate + coconut oil].
Drizzle/dip, refrigerate.
A Marathon Bar! That was absolutely my favorite as a kid!!
My mom made 133 jello quite often
We loved the layers. I wish they'd bring it back I'd buy it for sure
@@vickireid9581 My grandmother made this for me and her when I stayed all night with her. Oh the memories!
Marathon bar wasn't Cadbury. It was Hollywood Candy Co. Cadbury came up with the Curly Wurly Bar
It was Mars.
Remember the Ding Dong in foil? Great with ice-cold milk. In the 70s, it was huge, today size of a quarter.
I remember Pink Panther Cereal.. turned your milk pink.. I LOVED that cereal... OH THE MEMORIES.. 🥰
I LOVED Freakies as a kid! I still have a Freakies patch somewhere.
Space food sticks were an acquired taste,we took them as a burst of energy food when we were snow skiing. 😉🐈⬛🐈💖🌈🎄 My family calls canned cheese sleazy cheese.
Yeah.... not the best, it was a funny texture.... but when out riding bikes all day, you could stick one in your pocket and go!
Jello 1-2,3, my favorite! Recipe anyone??❤

I miss the Choco'lite candy bar from Nestle. It was like the UK Aero, thick chocolate with air bubbles.
@@furbysmith3240 my absolute favorite candy bar of all time. Oh how I wish they’d bring them back!
Mug O Lunch was not frozen. It was a dry packet that needed boiling water to make, as demonstrated in the footage you provided. 😂

I had all 4 colors of the bandit pencil eraser. Red, yellow, blue and green. 🥰
The announcer is all over the place wrong on so many levels.
I agree with a quick Google I found out Chocodiles still exist as Fudge Covered Twinkies.
I remember my dad fixing the TV dinners when my mom was in the hospital after having my sister. He would burn them but the middle would still be half frozen 😂

My Favorite Choco-Diles Love Them ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Space food sticks were PLENTY of tasty and it always made me smile to see one in my packed lunch
I loved those things! Chocolate and peanut butter were best, IMO.
Loved almost all of these, especially Jell-O 1-2-3 and Pizza Spins. I missed having Space Food Sticks. Never heard of Concentrate cereal.
Wish some would come back
Don't know about Funny Face drink mixes sweetened by Cyclamates or Tuna Twist that was contaminated with botulism. 😣
The only 3 I really remember was the marathon bar and Jello 123, and Swanson Tv dinners!
Bring them all back❤ They were all delicious 😋

That's not true! Chocodiles were sold on the East Coast as well. I grew up in NYC and we had them in all of the corner stores throughout the 80s.
Run to the Light, Carole Anne!😮😮
I remember Funny Face. These were strictly treats in my family😮
I had Funny Face beverages as a school refreshment when I was knee high to a ladybug
I remember Funny Face drink mix. I always wanted my mom to buy it, but she always bought Kool-Aid. 😖
We had all that instant food because a lot of us were latch-key kids feeding ourselves.

Betty Crocker Noodles Romanoff!!! Man I wish that they still made it.

I loved the Marathon candy!
Bring back the ORIGINAL, full size RING DING...and the Caravelle bar!!
I don't recognize most of these cereals and snacks, I was a 70s kid.
Being a kid in the '70s I absolutely got Chocodiles in New England. I didn't need anybody from the West Coast to bring them to me
I would give anything for a Space Food Stick!!
Chocodiles still exist as Fudge Covered Twinkies but are only available on the West Coast. They changed the name in 2017 so it was quite recent.
I wish that they would bring some of them back.
I loved funny face drinks i even sent away for a goofy grape cup.😊
Spoon n candy was my favorite dessert in the 70's 😊

Dr. Oetker makes a jello mix called TRIO TREAT. LIKE 1-2-3.

Don't remember FruitBrute. Only Frankenberry, Count Chocula, and Boo Berry. They bring them back around Halloween.
And Yummy Mummy.
Tang, Nestle Quick Chocolate Milk. or Strawberry.
