Hey guys, similar to you, my wife and I are getting ready to hit the road in our 5th wheel. We’re selling the house, and embracing the nomad life completely.
One of the things I did in preparation for our life change was install the S&B diesel tank. My recommendation, is to pay a shop to do it if you don’t have a lift. If you do it yourself, be prepared for it to be a pain.
I will say that having 1,000mi range (unloaded) is quite nice!
Anyways, best of luck to y’all. Keep the content flowing.

That is amazing! Congratulations on becoming nomads and thank you for watching! I can imagine how great it must feel looking down and seeing 1,000 miles until empty! Thank you for the tip on using a lift for install! Safe travels on your new adventure!

If you’re ever in Crystal River again, go to The Crab Plant and get the fried blue crab claws! Go back in the summer after July 1st and go scalloping!

I have to agree with David. The 60 gallon S&B tank is awesome. One of the best mods I did to our 2016 RAM 3500 SRW. When we are towing our 5th wheel on longs trips, I would have to fill up every day when we stopped. Not anymore 😀. Makes no sense when they sell a 3500 Truck with 8’ bed and towing package from the factory, the larger tank should be included.

I agree! any 350/3500 or larger should have a stock 50gallon or larger. Maybe someday we will still upgrade ours! Thanks for the feedback on how you like it.

Good Morning Fellow Cheeseheads! I stumbled across you channel this weekend and binge watched the entire Alaska journey from start to finish (minus the shorts). One question I had was if you did any modifications to the suspension/tires prior to you epic road trip? The wife and I are looking to do a similar trip in the future and just want to be as prepared as you both were :)
Safe travels and GO PACK GO!

Hello, it's always great to have fellow Wisconsinites on board! Thank you for watching as well! We did not modify any suspension on the RV. We just had the 1 spare tire for it as well. Our truck is stock except for a leveling kit, 35" tires (full size spare as well), and the airbags for towing. Our Alliance does come standard with the CRE 3000 and we've been happy with that so far. I've heard the independent suspension is a game changer, but don't have any personal experience with it. We would recommend that you have a spare tire for your tow vehicle and RV and make sure your maintenance is up to date on both before you leave. Then enjoy the journey, it's an unforgettable trip driving to Alaska! Safe Travels!

@@Registered_Nomads Thanks for the response :) I hear the same about the independent suspension, but glad to hear you don't have to do expensive upgrades to make the trip. Keep up the great content and cannot wait to see where it goes.

Unfortunately we have no control of when the ads come in or what the ad is about. That is how all youtube channels that are monetized generate income. Maybe check out UA-cam premium if ads are an issue. We hope this information helps.
