He likes to ride, huh? He's such a pretty boy! :) Whew! That us dangerous to have a plugged tire on the steering axle though...

Thankfully we didn’t have those tires on much longer after that!

May I add, while preparing for a trip away from your RV, disconnect and put away your black tank flush hose. You may never know, at a 4-way spicket someone could accidently or on purpose turn that valve on, thus flooding your RV with sewage.

That's a really good idea, we will do that next time! Thank you!

Great info on tires and suspension system maintenance. I got a torque wrench just for our Avenue and have used it a lot this year troubleshooting brake issues. You might want to invest in a cordless impact driver to remove those lug nuts...makes for a quick tire change on the side of a road. Also, for your wet bolts, have you tried replacing the zert fittings? They tend to get clogged and not let grease through. Thanks for sharing.

A cordless impact would make life so much easier, that's a great idea! As for the zert, no we haven't. The complete kit was reasonablly priced so we figured just to play safe and start fresh with everything. Thank you for watching!

Save your back! Roll the tire up to the studs. Sit on your butt with your legs straddling the tire and feet under the vehicle and knees bent. Put your hands on the left and right of the tire. Put your elbows on your thighs or knees and use them as leverage to gently pick the tire up and align the holes. Your 40 or 50 year old back will thank me.
