    So that's the introduction to our Chain of Being series! What do you want to learn about the medieval mindset? If you're an re-enactor, do you think knowing how medieval people 'thought' might help you to be a more successful re-enactor?

    in your view, is the 15th century medieval?

      That's a good question! There's a lot of discussion around that topic, but what makes it interesting is that the "medieval period" ends at different times in different parts of Europe. For example, in Italy the Renaissance is well under way by the 14th century. In England however, the Renaissance takes a bit longer to arrive, mostly because of the Hundred Years' War and then the Wars of the Roses. The Battle of Bosworth in 1485 is definitely a medieval battle- Knights in armour on horses fight each other over which descendant of the Plantagenet dynasty will be king. Very medieval. So although places like Italy and Germany might be enjoying the Renaissance in the 15th century, I think England remains quite firmly medieval until the 16th century. It's a good topic for a video, actually...
