- Swatantrya Veer Savarkar is a 2024 Indian Hindi-language historical biographical film on the life of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. It is directed, co-written, and co-produced by Randeep Hooda, who also plays the titular role of Savarkar. It was theatrically released on 22 March 2024.

Everything about it is fantastic, I'm Glad I watched it, Watched the pain and suffering of our Freedom Fighters and It made me Greatful about my Present. i hv read Bhagat Singh Ji's jail dairy 3 times and read all works of Savarkar and I found that in jail dairy there are 5-6 kavitas written by Savarkar ji...and read books about Azad Hind fauj and got to that during the war against Britishers Savarkar's Ji first books i.e. India's First War of Independence was distributed for motivation and regarded as the Geeta for the soldiers...and in some works I also got to know that people like Sri Aurbindo also worked with Savarkar...Savarkar used to bomb manual to the revolutionaries of Bengal they used these bombs against the Britishers...

Congress rewrote the history of the freedom struggle and manipulated everyone into believing that independence was achieved with nonviolence. Watch the movie without a preconceived notion and learn some facts before ridiculing Randeep Hooda's phenomenal performance.

Savarkar wrote the famous book "The Indian War Of Independence" on the revolt of 1857 which was banned by Britishers because young boys like Bhagat Singh were reading this book and were being inspired to seek freedom, Savarkar and many other freedom fighters never received the credit they deserved for independence they played huge role but glad now movies are being made on them and they're getting some sort of recognition also the airport of Port Blaire is named after Savarkar only since he was in Cellular jail for years.

Great work guys. Regarding the Bhagat Singh part, some historians do agree that the 1857 book by Savarkar did motivate Bhagat Singh in his journey just like many revolutionaries in that era.

Gandhi was timely. Savarkars ideology was timeless. We all can see that ultimately it is Savarkar that won the battle of ideas in India. After kaalapaani (1922) savarkar took steps to for a bright future after freedom (reforms against caste discrimination, intercaste marriage, spreading hindutva philosophy which is based around protecting your motherland, urging youth to join army because he didn't believe Muslims would give priority for their motherland over their religion which is true)

When bhagat singh was in jail he and his fellows did hunger strike for their rights demanding good condition of prisoners in which jatindra nath ji got martyred. Now u can't even imagin what was the conditions of Kalapani and especially kaalkothri in which savarkar ji spent his 11 yrs.
He was ready to die, to be hanged but that didn't happen. Brits wanted to keep him alive coz he was very big influencer of that time.

Ambedkar sir's constitution provides special rights and benefits based on one"s caste, one can obtain caste certificate for that. Ultimately reservation and this division has resulted in rampant division and thwarted our progress. Savarkar proposed that anyone who's janmabhumi, karmabhumi and punyabhumi is this land is hindu. The film is so well made, has great performances but still next to no shows. It has been removed from theatres within a week. This is unacceptable. Bollywood has never supported such movies. They didn’t support The Kashmir Files also. It’s sad the kind of enemies we have in our own country.

The reason Veer Savarkar 'apologised' in his letters to the british is because that was the FORMAT of a mercy petition. He was a full fledged lawyer and new the international law very very well. The British would release nazis because the wrote a mercy petition after the world war but didn't leave him because he was so, so influential. He also wrote in his letters, that if I am a threat to you let me stay in this jail but leave the others...
When Gandhi supported caste system he was the one who took a stand made people realise their mistake. He made temples where people of all castes could come and pray. Unfortunately, no one will tell you about this.
