awesome explanation man, that strap design is pretty smart! The top corner of the shield looks like it might be an issue as it gets very close to the face at times, so the shape might need to be adjusted. But good job
Kind of a shame it requires a buckle for readjustment. Maybe an adapted version of the slip strap that backpacks use for adjusting their arm holds could work towards streamlining adjustments in battle. Could use a small metal lever tool to assist with pulling the strap through the lock if need be, as well. The only downside would be having to source a leather strap long enough for it to work, and having to source the strap's lock as well, but I feel it may be worth testing.
@@TheCraziestFox that's assuming they use a free hand to grab and not just scoop and manipulate with their shield. I don't use my hand to grab your shield use the sword side corner to grab and pull coupled with a diagonal step towards the shield side.

If you are wearing that strap around your neck, what happens if an opponent grabs your shield?
Not much. They basically offer you their hand as a free target.

That's quite a long guige!
What is your opinion (if you have) on regenyei armoury training swords?
I don't own any, but from handling them I think they're pretty great. My next longsword will probably come from there.
@@lynxarmizare52 Thanks for your answer :D
It's not a purse, it's a satchel. Indiana Jones had one. Lol sorry had to throw in the hangover quote
Video is so fake, just look at that castle with the red roof....that isn't a real castle.
Yup, I'm a big phony.
I like to poop my pants on every 3rd Wednesday of the month.
