Hey Bros, I hope you are well and EPIC as always! I had a blast making these and I think video turned out great! (that is probably because of awesome music by Jan Valta and Adam Sporka) I am looking forward to your comments and questions :D Also be sure to check the description for measures of the shields ;)

This is just an amazing video, man! So interesting to watch whole the process from the scratch: raw, unconnected materials at the beginning, finished piece of art in the end - and lots and lots of work in the middle. (Actually, with composing music it's quite the same.) ;-)
And thanks for using our music! I really appreciate it. All best & cheers from Prague!

i built my own shield about two years back for a suit of armor i had got, nothing fancy but great for looking the part to a casual. I am really surprised how many of the things i did with no formal woodshop experience were also what you did. i did just math the angles in the boards for it though, instead of making a form like you did (though ill keep that idea in mind for next time. Although i did add 3-5 pegs to each boards, depending on length. to help keep the whole thing together under use, as i planed to use it a bit roughly.

Hello, first of all great job on those three ! great channel overall :) . I'd like to require your expertise on something. I started not so long ago Béhourd ( or HMB if you prefer, even buhurt :) ) and the first and only thing i want to make in my kit at the moment is a drop shaped shield. Your video is a goldmine for me even if the thickness and some esthetical stuff is not required in my sport . I'd like to protect the edges of the shield with leather because i think it's required in the rule of HMB ( which can be pretty harsh , historically speaking) . What kind of leather would you personally use ? i heard that rawhide or dog chew leather can be indicated for it's toughness , and ... maybe cost ? I'd love to have your take on this . Also great job on the interior padding , looks great and comfy, and historical as well ! New subscriber here

Thank you so much Bro 💚🤘I would go with rawhide or dog chew (which is rawhide I think) that is both historically correct and It will look epic. Unfortunately pet store didn't had the dog chew thing 😢 so I made one without. Glad you like it, stay tuned I will start with videos soon as I am working during the summer.

@@EpicWorkshop thanks a lot , i didn't even know that you could buy them in pet store , unless you wanted to un-knot a leather bone yourself haha , i found some place to buy them, well ... raw too , but i wanted to know if it was good stuff before. thanks again for that quick response !! much appreciated .
