  • Learning how to use Homax knockdown wall texture is not difficult. The instructions for using Homax spray texture are easy to follow. In this video, I'll be texturing a sheetrock repair I showed you in a previous video on how to repair a drywall hole in a day.
There are some important things to remember when using Homax spray texture. One thing is, to shake the crap out of the cans! I mean for like 2 or 3 minutes!
The next important thing to remember when using Homax knockdown spray texture is to warm the can up. The instructions say to put the can in hot water for a few minutes. I found that set them on a register for a couple minutes does just as good. Just don't forget and leave them there or the can could explode!
When using Homax knockdown wall texture, you want to continue to shake the can as you use it. Also, if it starts shooting globs, warm the can back up. You also want to spray in a circular motion. This will help make sure your knockdown texture pattern is uniform.
Homax wall texture knockdown is the easiest way to repair knockdown texture on a wall patch. Homax knockdown wall texture makes it easy to apply knockdown wall texture to your walls.
So if you find yourself asking what to use for knockdown texture repair, Homax knockdown spray texture is your answer!

There are people in life that LISTEN and those that DON’T LISTEN. I don’t car if your camera is blurry, or there is constant footage of the nozzle but what I do care about is the effort you made to show someone like myself who’s hesitant on getting this product for various reasons. I know that the look of the spray is going to be hard to see via video but I know that because I listened to what you said to do I feel confidant in starting this project. Thank you….

KEY ADVICE FROM THIS VIDEO: heat the can, shake for 2-3 minute, hold can appx 2 feet away, wait 3-5 minutes then use WET drywall knife to gently knock down texture. Repeat as necessary. Be sure to primer and use two coats of paint, "Darn near perfect!"

I've read on Reddit about heating up the can do you reinforcing it confirms to me that I should do it. Plus the dry time of 5 min is useful, and knowing I can just scrape it off if I fail. Thanks for the help

I have to retract my comment on the operating instructions. They do indicate to put the can in hot/warm water for getting the product to spray properly. I did this on an old can of Homax, (nearly full) and it sprayed properly. I believe the product instructions should emphasize more the operating temperature for getting a proper spray.

John I get what you're saying. I paused this video at a point where he held the can so I could see the spray nozzle. Looking at the can again I found two indicators on the black section letting me know that was the front of the spray, so to speak. I unscrewed and repositioned the black to white pieces until they fit comfortably into the hole in the can. Gave it a gentle push and it sprayed a liquid. I am now following his further instructions on warming up the can and then shaking longer than the instructions indicate. I appreciate the tips in this video. Wish me luck!

I'm about halfway through and wondering why every video I watch on this, the "instructor" is spraying a painted white wall and expecting the viewer to be able to see it. But, I'll keep watching.

This video is useless. It’s out of focus and the audio was not to the point.
