Alex deserved this beat down for all the classless shots he has taken at Djoker. He has even been telling reporters that he thinks Djoker is faking his injury, and some of the Australian media is running with it acting like Djoker is causing all the drama when he is doing no such thing. Face Australia, you were once a great tennis nation, now you have been pushed back even further than the USA in both men's and women's tennis. Djoker owns you and all your mouthy players that bring nothing but poor sportsmanship to the court.
Djokovic's high level of play made the match look easy but we know De Minaur is a very difficult player to beat Congratulations from México to the GOAT 💪💪
He's just a different level. As he's gotten older, he's hitting the ball more on the rise, taking time away from his opponents. On top of that, he's actually hitting the ball harder. Demon doesn't serve well enough to make Djoko nervous for that scoreboard pressure.
@@ciao_abhi He's flattening out the ball more and not letting it drop. You don't have to increase your swing speed dramatically if you're hitting the ball on the rise. That coupled with taking time away from his opponents is devastating.
@@ciao_abhi All these guys play with customs rackets. His played with a modified Head Speed for a while. Although I can't say definitively that it is the contributing difference, I can say that not modifying your swing speed, but hitting it on the rise will produce a faster shot. Most people like Cam Norrie (his backhand) who hit on the rise modify their swing slightly to decrease margin of error. Novak is hasn't changed his swing speed and is flattening the ball out, which is producing the extra power. It should produce more errors, but he's Novak.
Is novak getting better than he's ever been?...at 35 🤯?.. I know the tournament isn't over, but it's gotten to a point now where novak is such an overwhelming favorite to win that you almost think he would have to retire to lose. This is like the 4th "prime" djokovic has had... I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he gets to 30 grand slams
It really depends how you look at it. His forehand has never looked better and his serve is top-notch, it seems that he is just adjusting his game to his age. Back in the day he knew that he can out grind his opponents, now he is attacking more and hitting the ball harder than ever (I guess that's why he added some muscle mass to his body). Really intelligent player who knows what he is doing. Physically he is not in his prime, his forehand and serve are in the prime, he always had the best backhand ever and it seems that his net play was better than ever. Hard to compare, just enjoy the evolution of this tennis genius.

This has been a warm-up for Djokovic's next match against Rublev. If Nole keeps playing at this God mode, his wife had better go making room on the chimney for another GS.
@@fredericboninpissarro5789 What do you see being classy and respectful in kicking your fellow athlete who's brought down by Dictator Morrison and lying on the ground just for standing up for billions of oppressed people in the World, and human race in general that is deprived of basic human rights by the fringe elite? Novak is being punished not because he was voicing his political/medical views - he has been punished for not playing along with official woke and senseless narrative, or at least being quiet so they can continue brainwashing sheeple.
Out of the remaining guys, only Tsitsipas really has even a fighting chance, or maybe someone like Shelton if he has the best serving match of his life. I think Rublev simply isn't consistent enough over the course of a match to win, though he perhaps could take a set if he has a purple patch. But realistically the chances of anyone beating him while he's playing like this are somewhere very close to zero. Shame a healthy Alcaraz isn't here, he perhaps could have made it interesting.
At this stage of the championship Djokovic had an easy draw not playing against any top-20 player until Rublev. His next opponent Rublev barely beat Rune (who had beaten Djokovic in a recent final). I wonder if Nole would have beaten Rune if he had Rublev's draw?
@@ausomebros I try to keep myself in the bubble so at least I don't know the final score when I'm watching an 8 minute recap... Just really annoying.. I wonder if they will televise the semi final?
Little Alex got his butt handed to him - what a cry baby. It's just he is not a good tennis player, so Novak just taught him a few lessons in maturity.
Was De Minaur even trying really to move Djokovic side to side? Or was he simply hoping to trade blows mostly? Because it doesn't look like he's even really able to hurt Djokovic. Djokovic looked like he took everything and just overpowered him.
Djokovic actually used a strategy of just stifling Deminaur at the baseline. He basically didn't give deminaur much chance to hit from side to side much. That's de minaurs big weakness, his inability to generate a heavy ball when he is not on the move
Brutal, De Minaur had no chance. Treasure the moments left with Rafa and Djokovic. Roger has already bowed out and age is clearly catching up to these men, which is really sad for this sport. Perhaps Alcaraz will save us from one-dimensional players in Tennis in the near future. Roger, Rafa and Novak truly special geniuses of this sport.
you can see from highlights how Big 3 were super successful, they open the court really well and create chances, it definitely comes with confidence and experience.. Alex De Minaur though improved, but in order to beat Novak, you have to open the court and make him move side to side, take chances and come to the net. He can do baseline rallying all day. Currently, Rune and Alcaraz are not afraid to take chances, that's why they were able to beat him.
De Minaur simply doesn't have the firepower to compete with Novak when the latter is playing near his top level. You need to hit 75% of huge first serves or be Rafa on clay to really have a chance. Djokovic at this level is nearly impossible to beat on this surface (most surfaces, really). If Tsitsipas is at his absolute best and Djoko's form wavers slightly, Stef might be able to take it to five sets. The other guys would have to play the match of their lives to take two sets (nonetheless win outright), which is possible but pretty unlikely. This tourney is all but over if Novak plays like this.
@@phanikiran9826 If Stef serves very well and his backhand is at its best, there is a chance. It's a small chance, but he could do it. I do think he would need Djoko's level to drop from this, though.

Heavyweight vs middleweight was a good description
Novak ran a clinic.
Watch his footwork and how little he had to move as he pushed Alex around. Incredible.
Indeed. He is usually a wall due to his fluid mobility but his leg problems has forced him to swith to a more aggresive style for now and he is killing it rn.
best tennis player ever djokovic
Alex deserved this beat down for all the classless shots he has taken at Djoker. He has even been telling reporters that he thinks Djoker is faking his injury, and some of the Australian media is running with it acting like Djoker is causing all the drama when he is doing no such thing. Face Australia, you were once a great tennis nation, now you have been pushed back even further than the USA in both men's and women's tennis. Djoker owns you and all your mouthy players that bring nothing but poor sportsmanship to the court.
Djokovic's high level of play made the match look easy but we know De Minaur is a very difficult player to beat
Congratulations from México to the GOAT 💪💪
What a Huge difference in Quality !!
The 🎾 Tennis Highlander Djokovic at 35 !!!!!!
Breathtaking !
Bravissimo !!❤️🇷🇸
He's just a different level. As he's gotten older, he's hitting the ball more on the rise, taking time away from his opponents. On top of that, he's actually hitting the ball harder. Demon doesn't serve well enough to make Djoko nervous for that scoreboard pressure.
i think it's his racket. His stroke speeds dont looks that fast
@@ciao_abhi He's flattening out the ball more and not letting it drop. You don't have to increase your swing speed dramatically if you're hitting the ball on the rise. That coupled with taking time away from his opponents is devastating.
@@unknownvitster yes but his racket swing weight is also very heavy. More than most ATP players.
Such insane ballstriking. Every ball is heavy and places the ball on command. Backhand is too consistent for everyone. Vamos NOLE
The older the better... Yeah, right!
@@ivanstanisavljevic8245 If he's not physically in his prime (as you say) then... How do you explain that at 35, he is literally plowing his opponents in every tournament he is in.... Just saying. This Superman of tennis never gets injured... Not Federer, , nor Nadal, Murray, Wawrinka... Well, not Messi, nor Tom Brady... Athletes don't get better when out of their primes
Meu tenista preferido. O maior de todos. 😘

The most spectacular performance which was customarily demonstrated by Novak Djokovic by now in AO. He will seeminly be more valiant, dominant and tenacious in order to dismantle the ardous rivals in the upcoming ATP and grand slam tourneys. What a vast dominance from Nole!!! It is just like computer programming. It points out how Novak Djokovic is from another planet
similar a la ultima final en Australia vs Rafa. Asi de dominante fue !
Took me forever to admit this, but Novak is the freaking 🐐. Federers peak was the best i ever saw, but Novak is so consistent.
@@JS-ln4ns according to my eyes, no
@Jerod Roshanfar Thats not your eyes. Thats just your personal bias and nostalgia
@@JS-ln4ns I'm sorry but there's just no way in hell Borg or McEnroe were ever better than peak Federer lol, ELO is not a valid metric here
@@yj1864 my personal eyes and nostalgia are for Federer. HE got me into tennis in 2005. My last two years of high school i played tennis because of that man. I even bought his 90 sq inch racquet, which was stupid, because i had where near the skill. I'm just being reasonable.
@@jer8279 Good for you
This has been a warm-up for Djokovic's next match against Rublev. If Nole keeps playing at this God mode, his wife had better go making room on the chimney for another GS.
Djokovic just never seemed rushed or out of place and made it look easy. I suspect he has another level he go to as needed.
Djokovic realized that with fed retired he’s easily the best attacking tennis player on tour. Demolition right here

At this stage of the championship, the question is who is capable of stopping Djokovic.
Injury. Period.
Karen grandma from US Open
At this stage of the championship Djokovic had an easy draw not playing against any top-20 player until Rublev. His next opponent Rublev barely beat Rune (who had beaten Djokovic in a recent final). I wonder if Nole would have beaten Rune if he had Rublev's draw?
You have 3 dangerous opponents still in the draw- Rublev, Kachanov & Ben Shelton.
Joga demais esse Djokovic !Deu uma aula de tênis

Hewitt told someone to bet big on di manur to win a (any) set against djokovic. No wonder his face was stressed from the very first point lol

One major notch above the rest!
@@andreten4780 De Minaur also has trouble generating his own pace from what I've observed.
Uff, quite a beating! Coming to 22...
How is Novak doing this without shooting up the magical myocarditis mixture?
you can see from highlights how Big 3 were super successful, they open the court really well and create chances, it definitely comes with confidence and experience..
@@jeffvanderwerf3391 If stefanos plays his backhand well, there’s a chance..
@@phanikiran9826 If Stef serves very well and his backhand is at its best, there is a chance. It's a small chance, but he could do it. I do think he would need Djoko's level to drop from this, though.
