A really enjoyable video. Would love to see a pellet wag video from Kiveton Waters using fishery pellets. I'm a great believer that carp hook them self's againt the weight of the float and drag of the line through the water and pellet waggler floats are manufactured to sit far too low down. If the float goes under and there's no fish on the end it's not a bite IMO when carp fishing!
I agree that's why l use my hand made Casper floats which do as you say fish hook themselves. The ones l make are better than the foam ones available as the cast straight further and are indestructible , They are so good that Wetlands have banned the use of any float shorter than 15cm and 19 mm thick.
@@davidsmith2663 I'm a great fan of the casper type float using a car indicator bulb for many years prior to Jonny Arthur showing them on his channel. Hayton lakes at Retford was a fantastic F1 venue and the bulb float worked fantastically due to its ultra short length when the fish were shallow even though I'd got 4-6 feet between the hook and float. Landing the float quietly was paramount with a 4mm pellet and size 20 Middy KM2 hook tied to 0.20 hook length. I always used the line clip and when it was choppy I'd just wait for the line to tighten ultra rapidly and one self hooked F1. The fish there much preferred a chop on the water. Like pole fishing some bites are so rapid they simply pull the pole tip well under. Mind you I've slowed down so much of late!
@@malcrandall1309 You should try a couple of mine. Jon Arthur copied them after he bought some through Dick Clegg's Britannia Angling. I invented them over 40 years and dick had some in his shop. Unfortunately l could not make enough so he had some replica ones made from a hard wood. A bloke called Bob Shone of Pablo Floats in Devon makes Jon Arthurs out of foam You can buy the bodies from Steven Pinnock of Finesse Floats that's where Pablo Floats get them from . They don't perform anywhere near as well as mine. .
@@malcrandall1309 You really should try my floats many use nothing else when the fish are up in the water. I don't make many any more as l can't get hold of the material since l retired. l just replace for previous orders should they be unlucky to lose them.
I get it francie but if you had a bit longer fall from float to hook bait say 3 foot you could wind it back into your feed make it fall much more naturally great video though tank
Great video, the only thing is for me I am new to this fishing and would like to know a bit more about the actual casting. I get the cast going too high and coming down into the water like a brick and taking ages for the float to get back to the surface.
Excellent 🎉🎉🎉
In the summer sitting in waterproofs and a hoodie 🤦🏻♂️ love this country
Great summer weather.
Great info frankie
Glad you enjoyed it
