    Got these thinking they were the slightly larger Panfish floats ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx_rJB7cli5f1ofPVGgn80S7Yj4vqwq0gU they work just fine. The smaller size lets me carry more in my tackle box, and the 3 color choices are nice for different lighting conditions, backgrounds, etc. They aren't the most durable things in the world. But, as cheap as they are, it's not heartbreaking to lose one or have to replace a worn one. The price on these fluctuates wildly, from about $9 to almost $16. So, time your buy accordingly.

    Just a thought - love the video
    I fish waggler all the time - when plumming up remember to use the same length of float or mark your rod as you would with a pole top kit cos otherwise you could be fishing a lot shallower due to the length of the float 😊

    Great vid thank you. Fished wagglers for several years before taking a break from angling. We always sunk tip after casting and wind 2-3 turns of handles, never saw a flick like that before I thought it would of lifted line off surface? 👍

      Hi Rob,
      Thanks for the kind comment, it's such a nice method to fish. Sinking the line by casting past your spot and winding back is a great way to sink your line, the flick just allows this to be done quicker.

    Took my Grandson out at the weekend to do a bit of Waggler fishing. A lovely winter day out on our local club water. Just a shame it was ruined by a guy a few pegs away complaining he didn't catch on his pole because the young 11 year old lad was making too much noise with his casting as he learned the basics.

    Excellent video. Learning a lot. Just didn’t catch what you meant by “ line clip” when you cast to a mark? Is it a physical clip or marker on the line?

    • @AnglingDirectTV
      @AnglingDirectTV  Рік тому +1

      The line clip is on the spool of the reel. If you put your line in the clip at a set distance it allows you to cast the same distance each time.

    • @AnglingDirectTV
      @AnglingDirectTV  9 місяців тому +1

      This can happen with lots of silvers feeding. You could try feeding bigger baits or bulk your shot closer to the hook, this will sink the hook bait faster and hopefully miss them. Regards, Steve.

    On the plumbing section the bigger float used for plumbing was longer wouldn't u have to adjust the depth of the smaller shorter float to get the correct depth when fishing with the smaller float?

    • @BMX__dad
      @BMX__dad 2 роки тому

      That's what I thought.
      Would it be right to mark the rod and move the shorter float to the mark on the rod?

    • @AnglingDirectTV

      Hi Andy,
      Great comment, the float was indeed around 1" longer so this should be taken into consideration, a little detail I forgot to mention. When fishing the waggler I usually aim to fish around 2-3" over depth, even with the smaller waggler attached this would be on the bottom however, its certainly something to consider if you want to be super accurate.

    Hi, what was the exact mainline and hooklength you were using.

  • @raycharm8950
    @raycharm8950 2 роки тому

    on looking at this vid again ,the part on plumbing up ,if you where to put the larger float on , being longer than the one used for fishing to get the depth ,once the shorter float was put back on in place of the longer float ,it would surely make the depth too shallow ,as it would bring the hook off the bottom by the difference in the lengths of the two floats used ,so really the shorter float when put on the line would need raising to the same height as the tip on the larger float ,then you would be fishing too exactly the same depth as when the longer float was used to plumb ,which would be dead depth and not over depth

      @@AnglingDirectTV hi Stephen thanks for your reply, yeah i would think once plumbed with the larger float being longer in length ,you would need to make note of the top tip on larger float ,then when putting on smaller float as in length ,raise this to mark of top tip of the larger float ,so then would be fishing at the correct depth you plumbed to.

      I just use a 8ft carp rod 2lb test curve with 8lb main line and 5/6lb hook length, size 12-16 hooks depends on what size I go for, I use that rod or waggler and feeder fishing, it only cost £15 and does the job, cought all sorts on it, it's not too heavey and not too light, biggest I've had on the rod is 15lb
