Floating Feeder Fishing - Drive The FISH WILD!

- Most anglers will be familiar with feeder fishing on the bottom of the lake bed, but not so many will be familiar with fishing on the surface with them, but that is exactly what we done in our latest session. We headed out to Reepham Fishery, armed with the NEW Korum Floating Feeders, trying them out to see if we could catch a few fish, using this rather unique method.
To see exactly how we got on, watch this latest episode from the waters edge. As usual we hope you enjoy it and any feedback is always much appreciated.

Great Video, as usual no stock anywhere!!
Ingenious. So simple yet so effective. Just like all the best ideas.
Brilliant idea 🫡
I was fishing this method for hundred pound the other day . All the locals were chunnering about it not being fishing they even phoned the bailiff on me & said i was fishing floating bread causing everyone else to not catch 🤣
These brought back some memories, i made the same things about 30 years ago , ive probably still got some somewhere
No chickens were harmed in the making of this film 🤣
Absolutely incredible method of fishing.
Handy video for all 👍
Definitely giving this a go on Meadow Lake, Shallowbrook, think it will work well there.
Just check your waters rules about using float feeder...
Can’t wait to try it out.. sadly not on our club waters..
Tight lines everyone
Omg Steve thats another thing on my to get list when i go to AD 😝
Thx for sharing 👍
Here in Brazil, we fish others fishies like that. We using i bigger feeder (40g~60g) with animal feed, a line with 2m~4m of distance and small floater. The distance of the small floater to hook depends to the day (like 20cm to 1m).
We cast the bait and when the feeder falls into the water, we bring the float close to the bait. As the fish are very tricky, we cannot leave the large float close to the fish, so we use 2 to 4 meters of line.
Wow cool 🎉😊❤
I attach a floating PVA bag to the float,it drops the groundbait directly onto the hook at any depth.Great for Tench.
Used the original nisa chumpers feeders 20 years ago. Couldn't beat them on there day
I was fishing in Thailand in April when the temperature was 40 degrees plus. Wasn't getting anything on the bottom baits and they were ignoring the shallow fished float. My ghillie fixed up a float similar to the ones I use for Pike, a spiral method feeder underneath it loaded with mashed bread and a 4 inch hooklength to an empty hook. Turns out the fish were filter feeding, up in the water just cruising with their mouths open going through clouds of naturals. The bread cloud brought them in and I had five Siamese Carp to 40lb plus lost a huge Giant Mekong Catfish that snapped me off just above the float, the ghillie then hooked the float and played in a fish over 100lb! Never seen anything like it
Pointless, excess temperature aquarium fishing. Im from Yorkshire. A well earned 2lb roach or perch anyday over a ghillie assisted pet ................;)
@@LeighWinspear I have had Roach over 2lb and Perch over 3lb - I was shaking with both of them, it's all about perspective. I have also seen people blank in the 'aquarium'. My most cherished fish from my last trip in April was a 14lb Juliens Golden Carp, I had Siamese to 65 and Amazon Red Tail Catfish to 50lb but the Juliens are extremely difficult to catch and notorious for evading the hook - It takes skill to winkle them out and I was smiling for 48 hours afterwards
Interesting. Might give that a go. Interested to see how it would do on pressured gravel pits. Almost everyone is on the bottom atm - yet fish should be up in the levels.
Drill the feeder thru' & fish it "In Line" so the feed holes are parallel to the water - that way, the feed empties better through them, especially if also using pellets/particles mixed in with the slop !!
Very good video again boy's, That looked like brilliant fun, and a very good method, Thank you,
I 3d printed an open ended at one end to do the same with a hollow top have yet to try it out.
Hooked a fish and the chicken to your left was hooked on your feeder stuff 😂
In the right circumstances, this could be devestating
What bait was you using on the hook and what size hook were you using great video
Hi there, just went to go see the website to get some of these but there is no button purchase them... Great video mate
Could you possibly tell me where I might get hold of these feeders
Deadly on the pole too. F1’s go berserk for it, rip the elastic out
Be interesting to see if it's allowed in match fishing
Andy Findlay was doing this 14years ago the video is on UA-cam really easy to make
Great vid what rod and reel please and do you band the pellet
I have a old korum feeder float
What were you using as hook bait?
Hi. I used a home made floating feeder many years ago, made from a cage feeder and foam insert, brilliant for catching up in the water in summer, but can't be used in matches, which is a shame..
We were doing this 40 yrs ago.
Same principal as using a bubble float
Warmer temperatures 😂 if only .
It was the other year.
Still can't find them in any tackle shop in the UK
How does this go down with free running rule?
effective...but kinda removes the challenge .. . . .all the elastic stick merchants will spit the dummy out if you do too well in a match with it.....
All sold out. where we can buy this?
It's O.K. fishing a commercial, that's stocked with lots of fish, with this method but how effective would this be on a 100acre wild lake?
Are you using floating bait
shame they all seem to be sold out everywhere looks good
Just need stock
It's just a newer version of the, pellet waggeler float.
where in the world do we find so much fish, this pond must be overpopulated 🙂
Out of stock at all online stores that I can see.
only troublke is most fisherys dictate a running feeder and that isnt and it doesnt be as effective if free running so most fisheries wont let you use anything fixed
These feeders are designed to be loaded from the bottom, not from the top
If you could actually get one it would be good no one has any and I’ve been told late September before they’re available again unless anyone now’s different
They have them in stock at Duo Hook, in Ireland, it's £16.00 delivery to the UK though. I bought them, didn't want to wait until end of September.
It's not that hard to make buy a feeder stick a bit of foam in one side or a table tennis ball @goplanit
@@Northstar-MediaWell said, people aren't capable of gluing some foam inside a feeder .
I have tried but nothing got. Not a successfull method for me.
THATS YEARS OLD COME ON LOL!!! WERE HAVE YOU BEEN
Well I've never seen it used.
I change ed my mind. Very effective method. I got 1000 fish with this method. only need to look for some lake with good stock of fish. brelient.
Carp fishing is like shooting cows in a field.😢
The fish must be starving.
Yer not an angler, are you ?.. 🙄😅
@@peterfitzpatrick7032 my granny could catch in an overstocked fish farm. Then she would automatically be an angler right?
@@LeighWinspearshe would ! 😬 ... but you don't invest in stocking fish and then let 'em starve... these stocked fish are regularly fed with halibut pellets and as soon as they hear the feeder hitting the water its like the dinner bell for them !!...
Yes, probably over-stocked... because when anglers pay to fish a commercial, they want to catch fish !! ... and they'll go elsewhere if low stock levels make it a ball-breaker to get a bite...
BTW, it wouldn't be to my taste whatsoever... being Irish, I fish large wild waters, we have very few commercials here... my local lake is Lough Gara... its over 4000 acres ! 🙄😅
@peterfitzpatrick7032 my gran died, caused by repetitive boredom.
@@LeighWinspear she shoulda took up angling !! 😭
These are like rocking horse shit.
Can’t get them anywhere.
