I'm glad to see Studio Ghibli finally getting some love on here! Great tribute for one of my favourite films of all time. If you could do "Laputa: Castle in the Sky" that would be great, considering that's my favourite Ghibli/Miyazaki film, with "Spirited Away" being a close second.
eclipsesonic We'll definitely do more Studio Ghibli stuff down the line. My favorite is Howl's Moving Castle. Just ordered Castle in the Sky on blu ray... never seen it!!
I'm simple person, I see sprited away, i click and i like. I see another ghibli "8-bit" movie on the channel, I subscribe Btw, thanks UA-cam recommendations. You're weird but you're kind and helpful sometime
First i have to say it was very beatuful after this im freezing i dont know why but im freezing, Spirited Away was a piece of my childhood and its locked deep in my heart and soul. I remenbered all of it i saw this movie 20 or more times. Your work was great and i enjoyed it.
This is amazing! I was really moved with your work. "Spirited Away" is one of the greatest movies from Miyazaki. "Howl's Moving Castle" would be a challenging work, without any doubt, but you should also try "Princess Mononoke", it would be an amazing work too! I've discovered 8 Bit Cinema today and I'm totally amazed by all the videos. Please, keep doing your good work! Greetings from Portugal, and good luck!
Such a a happy emotional ride of a film , I watched it when I was kid amd obviously didn’t remember what happened but sort of remembered some silhouettes, shapes and faces. These would change over the years because I didn’t actually remember it in my mind cause I was so young ,it almost just became something from my memory which I was trying to call upon. Then I watched the film years and years later and I was very emotional for whatever reason it is one of those film classics which makes you think and inspires creative peace and love. Spirited away- Hayao Miyazaki
This was beautiful from beginning to end! It'll help clear things for those who haven't watched Spirited Away and don't feel like watching the whole movie (although who wouldn't?!)

Having watched & keep a copy of the real movie, as someone who grew up playing nes & sega genesis i will still say that this rendition is ... beautiful. Simply put.
I didn't watch the movie when I was a kid. Seeing this video had just sowed the artificial childhood memory of had watching this long long time ago. Thanks Henry
God, even an 8-bit rendered version of the movie's theme gets me nostalgic.
hisaishi joe is one of my favorite film composers. i like that he also does music for kitano films, which are a far cry from miyazaki films.
So true
Yes I agree.
I mean, 8bit kind of carries nostalgic connotations already, so it’s kind of a doubled impact.
Same:/ I remember every scene and music in my mind lol

bates d1123 ki ki deilivery service XD
bates d1123 I'd love to see Porco Rosso!
David Dutton My Neighbor Totoro would probably be fairly simple in comparison. And it would be so cute in 8bit
bates d1123 I feel that Nausicaa was a work of art, even the manga version was grander than the movie. But they both the same in someway.
