nice job. cooking oil temperature is always tricky, but once you get it, the fish comes out sooooo good. Merry Christmas in case I don't catch you next week. if you use charcoal or an alcohol burner you can set that stove up to do some great cinnamon rolls in your billy or double pie pans. like Steve does on his firebox stove channel. I found them very edible and delicious when I tried them the way he does them.
I have a set very similar to that from my Boy Scout days. I have not used it in a while but may need to now to cook up some deep fried mushrooms. I’d do hush puppies but I have not found any premade where I live.
Next time, smear the fish in thin coating of mayo, then coat your fish. It workes quite well. I always carry a couple extra mayo packets in my kit. Mayo also works great when making grilled cheese sandwiches. And no, there's no mayo taste.
Cool to find something from your childhood. Also Firebox gear is GREAT kit.
@@DIEmicrosoft ya, I’m glad I came across it. Thank you for watching!
I’d turn it over and cook it on the other side for a little bit
I did flip the fish, the original video was 27 minutes long so I had to cut a lot of footage out. Thank you for the suggestion and watching.
