The title is the first half of an expression 'it never rains but it pours', meaning that bad things often happen soon after each other. Lisbon & Rome each receive significantly more rain than London.
Hi Dan, this episode embraces so much about Britain in the 80's and 90's. The weather, the pub sets are very accurate with the small cast iron tables with the round wooden tops. The ever so slightly dodgy pub landlord etc. Its not just a great comedy but a nostalgic show too. I guess that's why its usually repeated here over the Christmas period. Its a favourite of millions for so many reasons and it deserved the success it gained. Great reviews 🙂👍
I've noticed things like Grandad using the dials to change the television channel and there's a lot of smoking going on also their phone makes me laugh not only because of the old design even then but whenever Del want to block the caller from hearing him he always covers the earpiece and not the mic
Great episode loved your reaction when Del and Rodney and Grandad go to Benidorm and the lady fort Del was french that little french fellow over there lol 😂
A lot of little bits in this I really enjoy, Rodney's Fathers Day prank, Del trying to have a conversation in French and Grandad's very long story. IMDB ranks it 49th out of 64, which I think it's a little harsh. Thanks for the reaction!
@@TheReactingMan I do miss a lot of the French phrases as I learnt German and Spanish at school, but not French. I do often look them up though and they're usually very funny 🤣
Hi Dan. I love your honesty mate its so good seeing other nationalities reacting to this stuff. I grew up watching these shows. Never ever gets old. The best of British would be my description. Keep up the good work Dan. - Mark, England 🙂
Rodney:- You were gun running in the middle of a civil war? Grandad:- Well that's the best time to do it Rodney. I love grandad's logic, it's both funny and true 🤣
'Us Trotters have never made good sailors...'
*Foreshadowing Uncle Albert*

This was filmed in the South West of England. They didn't have the budget to go to Spain. I think it was actually quite cold when they filmed this
Must have been cold for the nude volleyball players on the beach
@@TheReactingMan That’s alright. They would’ve used some of Rodney’s suntan lotion
