During an interview back in 2015 with the Radio Times Festival, John Challis, who played Boycie, said: “The first series went out, and it wasn’t actually that well received. I think it got about 7.9 million or something like that, which today would be very good but in those days wasn’t considered great at all, so it was sort of put on the back burner for a bit - no particular plans for a second series. “I never thought I’d say this, but luckily there was a strike at the BBC. They started repeating stuff and they put it out again, different time, different place, and word of mouth went around, and the figures went up by a couple of million." "They thought, 'oh, well maybe we’ll do a second series.' So it could have been that there might never have been a second series, which is an extraordinary thought.”
I'm with you on Grandad he really was the best of the two. I love Albert and he was absolutely fantastic in it. But Grandad was the man. His delivery of script just perfect. ✌️❤️🇮🇪
Definitely Grandad was absolutely fantastic. If Lennard Pearse hadn't passed away he would have played a huge part in the future of OFAH and you wonder how Grandad would have reacted to all the changes in the Trotter family.
with the little slip up in lines here and there and prop slip ups (they straight up bumped probs in this , dropped smashed glasses ect ) and they still keep it going make it feel more so like a play at times haha , they get soooooooooooooo much better when it comes to this stuff over time anyways!
@@TheReactingMan thanks for this mate. I like them all, but as others have said it gets better and better matey. Would highly recommend you watch them through and grateful for your uploads.
While I wasn't a fan of Season 1 in general, I think Season 2 is where the show gets going - definitely a much better season with some great episodes to come but all the best episodes are between Season 4 and 7 and the Christmas Trilogy 1996.
Funny episode Rodney dates police lady and Del on about watches Rodney they don’t look bad Grandad trigger said there four quid each 😂 and so funny when Rodney brings police lady home Del he’s done what 😂
only fools and horses my thoughts are that the jokes are being cut and ed far to short . this is the highlights of my up bringing as tv was then as you tuned in to it and one of the best shows ever to be broadcast i feel being married to a american i see you think its funny living it week after week up to date of what was happening on your own doorstep was brilliant
Seen this series sooooo many times since the 90’s and never get bored of seeing them. Super classic
It is very funny
I am glad I got the chance to see it
RIP Kate Saunders who played the Police Officer

Me too he was the best
The bomb shelter from the previous ep has disappeared, never to be seen or mentioned again.
I'm sure Del sold all that the first chance he got
RIP Kate Saunders 😢 who played Sandra the policewoman.
It's like a mini play. The majority of acting in one room and it's hilarious. Del's reactions are so good 😄 Cheers👍👍

Great episode, enjoyed your reaction, from UK 🇬🇧
Glad you enjoyed it thanks for watching
Keep watching . It gets much better
I will thanks
lot of full stops in between big up the reacting man hip hip
You can see from episode 1 that it is a massive improvement over season 1
Yes, s2 is a significant improvement on s1. The same is true of many sitcoms - including Cheers, Men Behaving Badly & Peep Show.
This episode was good
The main story was funny ang some of the little things
really topped it off like Granddad carrying the tire around

Excellent. Subscribed. A classic. And it turns out that boombox is the same as mine!
Funny episode Rodney dates police lady and Del on about watches Rodney they don’t look bad Grandad trigger said there four quid each 😂 and so funny when Rodney brings police lady home Del he’s done what 😂
Its Del's own fault for keeping Rodney in the dark all the time
