@@2027Judah I think this episode has the best gag with the the way it ends but for whole episode so far its probably Homesick I still have a far way to go so it will probably change
This is where you see the benefit of watching the whole show. I've seen plenty of people reacting to a 2 minute clip of the big moment at the end, still funny but has nowhere near the same impact. Hope you enjoyed it, cheers!
I agree even though I knew something was going to happen I didn't expect that and the surprise made it much better If I just watched a clip I would have been waiting for it
This is season two and what is really interesting was by this time its future was really in the balance and the BBC were really struggling on whether to commission a further series or not. Luckily for us they did and OFAH went on to be one of the biggest successes for them for years to come. And given the background tension which the cast were aware of they were also under strict instruction not to cock this up. The props department had spent a small fortune on the chandelier and there wasn’t a plan B, David Jason (Del Boy) and Nicholas Lyndhurst (Rodney) were under strict instruction to play it absolutely straight when the chandelier dropped, but as DJ and NL revealed in later interviews what we couldn’t see or hear was that off camera every single member of the crew were stuffing handkerchiefs, anything they could find into their mouths as they were falling about in hysterics!! 😆
This episode was really the "make or break" situation that changed everything for this sitcom. If the Chandeliers scene didn't go as planned, this sitcom would have been cancelled - thankfully it worked out and the rest they say is history. The first season had a lukewarm reception but this season fared a bitter. But after that, it just rocketed getting record viewing figures
Loved your reaction great episode touch of glass chandelier and posh husband wife lol 😂 and the butler Wallace lol 😂 and way Grandad said about the chandelier did you drop it we was doing that one 😂

The chandelier falling is one of the best known & most popular scenes of OFAH.
Even though I was expecting something to happen
the chandelier falling took me by surprise
Great reaction. “Diamonds are for Heather” is the next chronological episode. It’s a Christmas special for series 2, before moving onto series 3.
Ok thanks!
Too Hull and Back and Miami Twice episodes are part of my favourites too. I also love Del Boy handgliding accident.
Great episodes
Probably the best episode from the first 2 seasons! Everyone remembers the “chandelier episode” 😂
One of the best of the entire Only Fools and Horses series.Absolutely brillant episode.
Absolutely love this.🇬🇧

the ending was very much a surprise
Every ep of OFAH had over 6m viewers. It's been popular from day one.
