Question: Do you guys think that 40K will continue to grow in popularity considering how hard Dawn of War 3 flopped? I know the emperor's children were 100% terran born (At least untill they found Fulgrim after that who knows) Because they were made up of the sons of noble Terran families who gave their children as a show of loyalty/tribute to the God Emperor
The Tanith First and Only was suppose to have 3 regiments but a chaos fleet broke through the naval blockage during their founding and destroyed the planet... Warmaster Macaroth has promised Colonel Commissar Gaunt a planet for the Tanith if they defeat Chaos Forces alone during the crusade they are in. Most of this lore is in the first Gaunts Ghost book "First and Only" but they are a regiment of veterans pretty much and specializing in scouting and stealth.

michael howell Probably Magnus. He's a primarch and was supposed to take the golden throne, while Malcador died after a fairly short period

The Eldar can breed. It is just slow as hell. I forget the source, sorry, but they have a multi-stage breeding cycle where multiple males must provide DNA for the child (giggidy). These breeding cycles are really slow and far apart. The multiple genetic donors means gestation is slow as well. I imagine in the old days when Isha was around these cycles were way quicker, but likely worked the same way.
The multiple donors does mean their DNA is really diverse and adaptable. The likelihood of tons dying at once from a disease should be really low compared to humans.
Orks, Space marines, Tyranids, and Emperor definitely don't bone.
Being in the military myself I can PROMISE you those IG are boning. It just isn't a happy bone. It's all desperate and depressing. "We're all gonna die! lets boooone!"

Like obviously Lorgar is the weakest, Angron is up there at the top, but where would you put generic primarchs like Guilliman or Lionel, who don't really have any specific mutations or particular strengths? Also how much would the balance change after the chaos corruption? Like, Lorgar who ascended to Daemon Hood - would he no longer be the weakest? Would love to see some of your guys personal thoughts, sorta like a podcast, rather than facts.

Plague Marines not only don't feel pain, they actually rejoice in their afflictions. Rubric Marines are just mindless souls. Khorne Berzerkers aren't suffering as much as fulfilling their true purpose as killing machines. Noise Marines continuously dull their senses and are unable to achieve the pleasure they crave.
Noise Marines have it the worst. Plague Marines have it the best.

With the Tanith there was a chaos invasion on the day the first 3 Tanith regiments to be formed where due to be shipped off world, the imperium where in no possition to mount an effective deffence of Tanith so the decision was made to evacuate as many fighting men they could before the world fell.
The survivors of the Tanith 1st 2nd and 3rd where amalgamated into the Tanith first and only.

T'au don't really have a say in the matter, at least when it comes to the castes that aren't the Etherials. They're restricted to reproducing in their own castes - as in no cross-caste-breeding - and have a limit to how many of themselves they can procreate. Going over that number is prohbited.

Question: In one of the greater waaagh videos somebody ask a question about the adeptus custodes soldier replenishment methods or something and you answered that the adeptus custodes are special warriors that are made by the emperor himself and that they are not capable of replenishing their forces anymore since the emperor is stuck in the golden throne.
If that is the case then can we have a body count of the remaining adeptus custodes as this point? Because in the Audiobook Watchers of the Throne by Chris Wraight. When the 88 cohorts of Khorne invaded holt Terra itself it was said that 4000 custodes were deployed to defend and more than half of them didn't survive plus the 8 more of the 10 that made that heroic stand with the sisters of silence inside a black legion ship at the end. So are there less than 5000 custodes left at this point in the lore?
Or they CAN replenish their warriors but they just really limit their total numbers to 10,000?
