Hi ate Zoe! I know you’ve seen me a couple of times on your channel since I really wanted to know more about my dream course. I always looked up to you when it comes to this course. I just got my results today and I got in BS Human Bio😭♥️ You’re such a great inspiration and I’d like to thank you for all these informative videos! Animo💚🏹
thank you for this!! i’m currently an incoming g12 student of dlsmhsi’s stem-health program and i’ve been eyeing dlsu’s human biology since jhs!! i really hope i’ll get in 🥺👉🏼👈🏼
@@doktorazoe Returning to this as promised! After multiple attempts in accessing the results portal (😭), I finally saw the results and got accepted into the program ✨Thank you so much for believing in me! 🥺
Futura Dra. Zoe hi everyone ,if anyone else needs to find out about online human anatomy and physiology course try Anatomy Blueprint Pro (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my mate got excellent success with it.
dlsu-d has a 3-year course naman, called bs med bio (aimed as a preparatory med course) and I think the advantage of it is that you can pursue any med school you want rather than being stuck with dlshsi which can be quite expensive if you do not have a scholarship
Hello! I believe their straight to med program is in partnership with DLSMHSI as well. With BS HUM BIO, you also have the option to choose another medical school after you graduate, but again that would defeat the purpose of the straight to med program since you would have to repeat first year med again since that was your third year for undergrad.
Hi, Doc! I am from Mindanao, I just wanna ask on how I can take the entrance exam from DLSU-D specifically for bs human biology. I’m very inspired with your video🤗
Hello! The BS Human Biology offered in DLSU Manila is different from the BS Human Biology in DLSU-Dasma. The one I went to is the one in DLSU Manila. For how to apply to DLSU Manila, here’s a link with the details. www.dlsu.edu.ph/admissions/undergraduate/freshmen-procedures/ I’m so happy to hear that you were inspired by the video 💚
Thank you, Doc! I’m going to take DCAT this month or next when this pandemic is over. I wanna ask doc if is there a maximum amount of student who will qualify to enroll for bs human biology since I heard this course is a quota course. And also, how much score do you need to pass this course? Is it more than 70% of the total items? Does your senior high school grade matters to qualify to this course?
Do you have a copy of your schedule po from 1st term of 1st year to last term of 2nd year in your course. I would like to see lang po on what to expect po sa sched. Thank you!
Hi, I’m sorry I don’t have a copy anymore. If I recall for the science majors from first term to last: zoology and inorganic chemistry - botany and inorganic chem 2 - comparative anatomy and organic chem - histology, ecology and org Che 2 - biochemistry and embryology - genetics and cell biology
well after six years you get your MD, then you take an internship for a year tapos boards then if you pass that boards you’re a licensed physician. then you can choose your residency na and depending on your residency will be the type of doctor you want to be.
hii po. i know im sooo late. like sobrang tagal pa bago ko nakita tong program na to. pero i just want to ask if you had saturday classes 🥺 Im an Adventist kasi and im interested sa program
Fely Rose Boquida hello! DLSU Manila follows a 4 day school week. We had classes from Tuesday to Friday. Our university break is on Monday (it used to be on Friday). In my course, sometimes we had to go to school on Monday (U-Break) for our once a week lab classes. However in your Freshman Year, you have NSTP (National Service Training Program? I think that’s what it was called) for two terms I believe. You had to go to school on Saturday for that. It wasn’t every Saturday naman.
Hi! Can a person survive human biology without taking down notes? Is college like high school? Can you get notes from other people or will the profs gives their ppt? When i was in hs, i tend to always ask for the notes of my classmates since i could not focus on the teacher while im doing notes. Can you lend me an advice, future doc?
Hmmmm.... I think if your goal is to survive it is possible. My friends were always asking for my notes haha. However if your goal is to graduate with honors, you may need to take your own notes. Some professors will give their powerpoints, while others won’t. I think the most important thing in note taking, is to really write down what you understand, an “aha” moment, or something the prof emphasizes is important. I don’t know how your classmates will be like, but not many people are generous with their notes. Some like to compete. So I guess it’s important to get to know your blockmates and see if they’re the type to share notes. Personally, I always had my own notes for the lecture where I just write down what to think is important then afterwards when I get home I rewrite my notes adding more information from the book plus online resources. 💚
Future Dr. Zoe Can you explain po regarding your classmates? Classmates mo rin po ba mga co-human bio peeps mo or distributed? Or may class po ba na specific only for hum-bio students? Is there any posibility na magkaron ka ng classmates from other course? What is the system po in dlsu? Thank you so much, doc!
You are given a schedule of what subjects you need to take per term. It is up to you to select which class you want to enroll in per term. Most of the time, it is easier for everyone if you guys group enroll in classes. You are usually given priority to enroll together in classes required for your program, but you’re given the option parin to choose other schedules. So you can discuss with your block mates which classes you want to enroll in and you can ask help from the the college of science secretary to enroll you all in that specific class. However, you can only get her help for classes in the college of science. There were times that our block was separated because we all wanted different time slots; however, this was only in our non-science subjects. Some didn’t wanna wake up early, some wanted to leave early. You will really have classmates from other courses even other colleges. You have the freedom to choose which college to enroll in for some of your floating subjects (religion, history etc.). One time, I enrolled in college of engineering to be with some of my friends from there in our human arts class. And yes, there are some classes that are purely for human bio students. However, enrolment is another thing in La Salle. It’s usually first come first serve in some classes. You have priority to enroll in classes under the college of science. You also have first pick usually when you’re a scholar, and deans lister. There’s a whole schedule as to how enrolment works. Usually, hum bio students already have they’re classes assigned to them, but you can choose to drop a class and switch it out for a new class. The freedom to choose I think happens after your first term. Usually talaga we just follow what was given to us but in the end we wanted to mingle more and have more convenient time slots so we started to cross-enroll to other colleges.
hi! I just discovered your channel! And I’m in Grade 11 and I’m planning to take the DCAT and choose BS Human Biology for my premed. This video helped me!! Thank you so much. And can I ask something? do you have any tips for the DCAT? Thank you! 💚🏹
Hello! My biggest tip would be to just expose yourself to many practice tests! Use review materials from review centers because they’re helpful in recalling information. Also in addition, you can check out SAT review books. I took the SATs in high school and I feel like it helped me excel for the English and math portion of the test! 🥰 I wish you the best in your journey towards becoming doctor 💚💚💚
Hello! It really depends on the number of students who make the grade cut per year. In my batch, ID 116, we were only 13. The next batch, ID 117, were around 9-10 I think, then ID 118 and 119 I’m not sure anymore but I believe they were around 20-30 maybe? I heard the number of human bio students is starting to go back to its usual number. I was told that the max number of students they get is 40, but it hasn’t reached 40 in a while. Anyway, most of your classes are with students from other course programs, so you will definitely be meeting a lot of people. There are only very few classes that are purely for Human Bio students. Hmmm, I had 6 months of summer before my classes started due to the calendar shift haha and I used those months to just enjoyyyy, travel, learn a new language and chill Lang. However, since we have the ECQ, I think we are pretty limited with things we can do at home. So if you feel like you really need to study, I recommend that you start assessing yourself. Study the course curriculum, I think it’s available on the official website and try to identify which subjects you think will be your strengths and weaknesses. How can you improve your study habits to tackle this subject? Maybe you can also reflect on your current study techniques. Is this producing results that is good for you? Can it be improved? Maybe it’s time for you to experiment which note taking strategy you think works for you. Sometimes I can spend so much time on UA-cam just learning how to study better and be more productive haha. Some channels I recommend would be Ali Abdal or MedSchool Insiders. These channels are pure gold when it comes to study tips. I don’t think you need to stress yourself too much with advance studying. Everything is manageable and I don’t think you can ever really prepare for the overwhelming load. However if studying for subjects you think will be your weakness will give you extra confidence, why not! Maybe expose yourself a little to bits and pieces of the different subjects to have a general feel for it. More of just exposure instead of in depth studying. Wow I’m talking too much haha but yes I believe it all really depends on you. If you think you can adjust and adapt to the college load, just do what I did and enjooooy your vacation. However, it would always be good to set aside time before school starts to mentally prepare yourself, assess yourself, and create a game plan as to how you will approach studying during your pre-med. Always here if you have more questions 💚
Hi ate! Is it the same for BS Animal Bio? I want to know more information about it. I want to know the tuition fee, admission requirements etc. but I can’t find it.
Is it required to submit IELTS result to apply BS Human Biology? Do you know when will the application form open for this year? Can you please share your experiences to get to BS Human Biology?
Hello Dr. Zoe! I’m an incoming BS human bio student in dlsu-manila (luckily i passed 🥺🥺) but i’m still not sure if i’ll pursue it since i don’t want to live away from my parents after two years 😅 I just want to ask about the program’s tuition. Also, I’m also interested in taking the leap exam. What are the subjects I need to take in leap exam? Thank you for making this video! It helped me a lot.
The tuition fee for taft is around 150-200k I think per year (more or less). You’ll be in taft for 2 years. The tuition fee for first year med is always the most expensive it’s about 310+k, from 2nd year to fourth year it gets cheaper ish it’s around 290-300k. However medical school tuition fees usually get more and more expensive as years go by. I’m sorry I’m not familiar with Leap. We didn’t not have Leap during my time. At first, I was hesitant with the distance. However, I quickly learned to love the independence haha. I hope you make the decision that’s right for you! 💚
Future Dr. Zoe thank you so much! Just to clarify, did you take your NMAT during 2nd year in taft or 1st year in dasma? Thank you! PS I hope I’ll also enjoy the independence. You are such an inspiration. I hope I could also get such awards if ever I decided to pursue bs human biology. ❤️❤️
@@doktorazoe Hi Doc Zoe, the estimated amount you said was it the total fees to be spent, or is it just the tuition? It doesn't includes some laboratory fees?
Hi Doc! Can I ask if I can take DCAT twice? I took it kasi last year for the school year 2020-2021 and I didn't pass and ibang courses po yung nilagay ko sa application. Now that we're experiencing this pandemic, hindi pa rin ako enrolled because I'm running out of options ng schools na papasukan. I'm just wondering if I can stop muna this S.Y. and just wait for another year bago mag college. Am I still allowed to take DCAT again? I'm planning to get into Human Bio :((
gastadora the explorer hi I’m sorry I don’t know if Pwede 😅. I wish you the best though! I’m sure you can try to contact La Salle through their website and maybe ask ☺️
Hmm During my time, I would think so? Since I've heard of people who didn't get accepted into the program. Buuut I'm not sure if they made it harder or easier now due to the pandemic.
I think kaya naman siya. In my first year, I joined a political party and served in the student council as a legislative assembly representative. I was placed in national affairs, so I mostly helped in writing open letters as the stand of the student body and to call to action different sectors of the government. As a LA rep, you also help in policy making and more. In my time, I think we were discussing student handbook revisions. I had fun as an LA Rep haha it was like a taste of another thing I wanted to be before (lawyer whaaaat?) haha pero towards the end of first year and by second year, I became less active in orgs because I started a part time business re-selling board games since that was my hobby at the time, and then I got active in the Philippine dungeons and dragons community haha. So, yeah.. I feel like kaya naman to make time for your passion and things that you love. It’s not that hassle. As long as you change your mindset and say you have time, time will open up for your interests! Don’t just focus too much on acads or you’ll feel sad! Haha well yeah these are just my opinions hehe 💕
@@doktorazoe by the way po, may St. La Salle Financial Assistance grantees po ba sa batch niyo na human bio? I applied po kasi and it was written on DLSU's website na the grant depends on the number of slots available per degree program 😅
Hello! Wala sa batch ko pero I think it’s cause no one applied for it. So hopefully wala rin masyado in your batch. In medical school, I know people can apply to get financial aid every sem (I think? Not sure haha) They’re also really generous with academic scholarships. I think in my batch more than 50 of us were given academic scholarships. And you can apply for the scholarship every semester! So it’s not a one time big time entrance scholarship. I wish you the best! I hope you get the financial assistance! Praying for you 🙏🏼💚
Hi po ate I'll ask lang po kung ano-ano po yung mga books and lessons na inaral niyo para Maka pasa sa human biology and star scholarship, sana masagot I'm aspiring doctor and wanted to pass DLSU human biology, and to win the star scholarship. Sana masagot thank you!
Super informative and helpful video Zoe! I recently passed the Human Biology program and the only concern I have is does it have some type of practical applications or hands on experiences other than labs?
Like for medical school? Besides your regular cat dissection that every biology student goes through, none really. The point of human biology is to get you to medical school faster. You feel confident that you can catch up with the demands of medical school learning it first hand. And personally, I believe it’s up to you. prior experience will definitely give an advantage but no experience is still pretty common and doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll do bad. a common example I’ve given is right now I have a batchmate who took up engineering as his pre med course and he is doing really well in medical school.
hi im an incoming grade 12 student po 2021-2022 and i want to apply po may i ask what is the time period po for applying also i was wondering po what were the requirements for human bio program and if there is any required online exam for it po.
Hello po ate! If ever po na hindi na itutuloy ang med school and stop na po sa 3rd year para makuha yung Bachelor degree in Hum-Bio po, ano po kaya ang job opportunities? Or need po talaga na tapusin at makuha yung MD? TYIA!
First 2 years ay na sa undergrad ka sa Taft. 3rd year is na sa Med School ka sa Cavite - 1st year med. Pwede naman magstop after 3rd year or 1st year med. Job opportunities, its just like having a bio undergrad degree. Medyo sayang lang if hindi mo talaga goal mag med hindi siya worth it.
Hii, I’m sorry i don’t know the numbers of how many applied. But max number of students is 30! However, it hasn’t reached 30 in a while. So they’re kinda strict with grade requirements since they don’t try to fill up the block. At least that’s what I think.
Hello po, Ms. Zoe 👋🏽 I really had no idea about Human Biology as pre-med course until I saw your video, and as I checked the list priority courses of DOST-SEI Scholarship. There is HUMBIO included, and ask ko lang po pag po nakapasa sa DOST-SEI Scholarship and pinili ang Human Biology as the pre-med course, di na po ba need mag take ng DCAT? I mean, straight to DLSU na po for the program?
Hello, Doc! I am currently a senior high school student at DLSMHSI. Are there any scholarships for BS Human Bio? Does DLSU also look at high school grades? How many students do they accept per batch? Thank you ✨
Yes! I got a star scholarship that is an integrated scholarship that waived tuition and miscellaneous fees until med school. Yes, DLSU also considers high school grades especially if you are going for a scholarship. Not only grades but also your extra-curriculars. So it’s important to make yourself a holistic student because they love that. Dapat you can show na you were a student leader also. For human bio maximum is 30 or 40 I think, but for star scholarship it’s max 15. These numbers really depends on the performance of the students in the DCAT. 💚💚💚 Good luck!!! Start now in building your credentials for college 🤘🏼💕
Hi po sana manotice niyo po ako ask ko lng po kung magkano yung tuition fee for BS Human Bio po huhuhu nag prepre-pare po kasi ako and asko ko narin po kung magkano yung babayaran DCAT exam po
Hello! I’m not that updated na with how much the tuition fee is in DLSU. When I was in Taft, I think it was around 60-80k per term. Considering there are 3 terms it could range more or less 120k to 180k per year depending on your program. For the exam fee, I’m not so sure baka 600-1000 I can’t really recall. 🤔 Good luck with studying for the DCAT! Study hard na rin and aim for the Star Scholarship! 💚
Hi po, may I ask po if yung BS human biology or accelerated program ng DLSU recognize po ba sa Amerika or makakapag residency po ba yung person with this BS degree?
Hi, sorry I'm not familiar with the changes that DLSU made regarding BS Bio. That was a pretty recent change they made when I graduated na. All I know its a longer program compared to the 3 year BS Bio program La Salle used to offer. :)
www.dlsu.edu.ph/admissions/scholarships/ kindly check this website to see the different types of scholarships available! The best thing to do is do really well with your entrance exams so that you can get an entrance scholarship called stars scholarship, i made a separate video on this that you can check out! Good luck!
Hello! If I’m not mistaken, BS BIO-MED is a four year program. In Human Biology, you only study the fundamentals in the different subjects. In Bio, you have more basic sciences subjects and there will be more chemistry classes. You also get more biochemistry classes, physiology class, pathology (specialization subjects that introduce you to medical school subjects) -- something we didn’t have in our first 2 years in taft because we have it on our third year which consists of first year med subjects. Moreover, your schedule isn’t as compressed. The unit load in human bio goes beyond the maximum allowable units sometimes so that it can follow the schedule. In Bio, you have more flexibility with your units I believe. After your 4 years, you can apply to any medical school of your choice. If you were human bio, you go to medical school na on your 3rd year then you graduate. Then you get delayed a year if you want to apply to a different medical school. However, you’d go through first year med subjects all over again should you choose to transfer schools. In BS-BIO Med, you won’t need to go through first year med again if you want to go to any other medical school. ☺️
Hi sorry for the confusion! I meant that you won’t need to repeat first year med. For Human Bio students who want to study medicine in a different medical school (Not La Salle), they would need to start medical school all over again, so they repeat first year med since they already went through first year med during their 3rd year as a human bio student. However, if they choose to stay in La Salle, they go straight to second year med. For BS BIO, it is not a fast-track course. You have your 4 years of college then you take the NMAT then you enroll in a medical school of your choice (it doesn’t have to be La Salle). Sorry for the confusion!
Hello po! I'm currently a grade 12 student and really do want to take an accelerated program. But I don't know how especially ngayon. May DCAT po ba for 2020 in order for us to take BS Human Biology?
I’m not sure how they will go with the DCAT for next school year. Maybe you can ask help from your high school guidance counselor so that they can check how to go about applying for colleges during the pandemic period ☺️
Uhmm hello po ulit! I know wala pong 'best' pre-med course but ano po yung mas may advantage na pre-med for med school or sa gustong mag surgeon? Sana po ma-notice niyo doc huhu. Thank you po.
hmmmm i don’t think there is one really. Probably a course that offers comparative anatomy so you can practice dissection? usually bio courses or the typical premed courses have that. uhm maybe physical therapy can help you know the anatomy of the body really well. and nursing might be helpful also with all the practical skill sets you can get.
Hi po Doc Zoe! I am an incoming first year Med Bio student in DLSU-Dasmarinas which is also a straight MD program po. I would just like to ask po if yun po bang course po na Human Bio ay same as Med Bio? Or totally different po sila? And also po I would like to ask some tips po on how to be able to survive this kind of course especially po na it only takes 6 years. Good thing po I found your video it was really inspirational po for I was already having my doubts on taking this course po ih. I would really appreciate po if you would be able to answer my question po. Thank you po Dra Zoe! God Bless po ☺️
Hello! I’m not sure about the course program if there are any similarities. I’m sorry I can’t speak on behalf of the program because I’m not familiar with it hehe. Here are my tips though! I feel like it’s really good to invest in good note taking. I made another video on this topic. I showed how I wrote my notes when I was in college. I feel like you need to invest talaga in creating notes that you can understand even when you forgot about the topic na. ( I talk more about this in my other video here’s the link: ua-cam.com/video/LHR9IwPTOAE/v-deo.html ). Another tip would be to experiment with different study strategies. Sometimes it’s scary to change our study habit Pero you’ll never know what’s the best for you unless you try different methods of learning. It’s also good to start training yourself to get used to practicing active recall. These can be trained through using apps such as anki. Also, don’t forget to enjoy rin! These two years should be fun also! Although may time parin to enjoy during med, you should take the opportunity to enjoy college rin and meet people with different interests from you. Discover your talents and all that hehe. Cause pag dating sa med, you’ll be surrounded by people in the same field as you so it’s nice rin to branch out to meet different people during college. Good luck with Med Bio!!! I’m sure you can survive! Just gotta learn how to be more masipag talaga. Feel ko hindi mo kailangan maging matalino nadadaan rin siya sa sipag haha bonus na Lang if naturally smart Ka. 💕
Hi po Doc Zoe, I really appreciate your answer po and I would really take note of it for me to be able to survive this course. Also thank you po for the motivation and nice words. I really hope I can do it po in God’s grace. Again thank you Doc Zoe! Take care po and God Bless 🥰
Just another question po what kind of study material po ang maiisuggest nyo po ang pinakamaganda pong gamitin for school to study? Thank you po uli Doc Zoe! ❤️
Hmmm for undergrad, I suggest to read the suggested reading material. I’m sure your professors will tell you which books to use. Some people barely touch their books and you can survive naman college with just notes haha Pero if you wanna aim high use other resources rin such as your lecture book, UA-cam videos, and NCBI. If ever I wanna search for something science related I just type ncbi at the end and I know it’s a reliable journal. 💕
Hello! It’s pretty broad! It has almost the same coverage as all college entrance exams. It has Language Proficiency, Reading Comprehension, Science, Math, and Abstract Reasoning. It will be really helpful to use review books from review centers and buy the MSA practice tests sa national bookstore. 💚
Hi, Doc! Can I ask how did you apply for Star Scholarship? It's one of the scholarships I literally have an eye for since it's really a privilege being one. I hope you could answer my question hehe. Btw, you are an inspiration. At the beginning of the video, I thought you were paying for your tuition fully, but when I heard you saying that you are a scholar, my jaw drop hahaha. Goodluck to your med journey! Thanks for this very informative video :)) I was really inspired watching : ))
Hello! You don’t really apply for it when you’re applying to DLSU. You just get qualified for it. Usually they offer it to the top 100 of the DCAT. I didn’t even know there was such a thing as a star scholarship to be honest haha. I just got an email and I was told that I qualified to apply for the Star Scholarship. Afterwards, there was a dinner we were all invited to attend which told us that we were all qualified for the scholarship. Then we were asked to submit a form and go through an interview. After the interview, they chose 15 of us to get the scholarship. ☺️ I’m glad you found the video helpful! Your kind words warm my heart! I wish you the best and hope you get the scholarship! 💚
Started 2016 ( 2 years in taft, 1 year in DLSMHSI as my 3rd year which also served as my first year in med school) and graduated 2019. This school year (2020-2022), I am an incoming 3rd year med student ☺️
Hello! I’m not that updated with how much the tuition fee is in DLSU especially now that they will have online classes. However, if I can recall when I was in Taft, I think it was around 60-90k per term? Considering there are 3 terms it could range more or less 120k to 180k per year depending on the subjects for the term. ☺️
Hello, I think BS-medbio is linked with DLSMHSI to make your journey also shorter. So yes, I believe you can apply to medical school, specifically DLSMHSI Lang yata. Not so sure sorry haha. I don’t know much about DLSU-D course programs sorry 🥺💕
Hello! I’m not that updated na with how much the tuition fee is in DLSU. When I was in Taft, I think it was around 60-80k per term. Considering there are 3 terms it could range more or less 120k to 180k per year depending on your program. You can get entrance scholarship through your DCAT score. I got the Star Scholarship. The top 100 students of the DCAT are given a chance to be interviewed and granted a Star Scholarship. I believe the valedictorians of different public high schools can also get a scholarship. You can also get a full scholarship through sports. If you’re already in DLSU, you can also apply for a student leader scholarship, or request for financial aid.
Hello! I'm not sure how much tuition costs now because I'm pretty sure nagincrease na siya, but back in my time (2016) it was around 70-90 per trimester. :(
jinnnah Te hello the tuition fee for medical school is around 300k for freshman year then it becomes a bit cheaper in the next years like 280k I think? More or less it’s around that much.
Hi po! Ask ko lang po, how much is the tuition fee in DLSU po? I heard that the tuition fee po diyan is expensive. I wanna take BS Human Biology but unfortunately we don't have enough money to study in DLSU po e :(
zxcvbnm asdfghjkl hello, it’s around 70-90k more or less per trimester. ☺️ Yes it’s pretty pricey at la Salle but la Salle is also very generous with their scholarships. You can check out the different scholarships that la Salle offers. I have another video on the scholarship I had which is a grant given until medical school as long as you keep your grades up. Check out my star scholarship video if you’re interested ☺️💚
Is it true that they only take up the top 100 DCAT examinees to be candidates for star scholarship, and that they undergo rigorous interviews to become one?? Ps. I dream of becoming a star scholar and pursuing medicine too. So you're an inspiration! 💚
ryan josh hello! that’s what I was told. The top 100 are qualified to try to get a star scholarship. Then out of the 100, they choose 10-15 students. The interview wasn’t that rigorous. It was very chill and they were very friendly. I was just being myself during the interview and you just have to prove to them you’re worth the investment. 💚 Good luck with your dream!! I’m always here if you need anything! ☺️ It’s nice to hear you want to be a star scholar and pursue medicine as well!!
Hi ate! I’m a Human Biology student from DLSU as well. 😊 I just wanted to know, did you ever feel like you were less experienced than your peers who completed other pre-med courses? Also, were you still taught the basics like learning how to inject and get the vital signs of the patients? Btw I love your channel ate! It’s really helping me become less anxious about going into med school 💚
Ofcourse! Haha I always felt like I was less experienced than the others because we never had any clinical training or experience in undergrad haha the closest we get to feeling like a doctor are med missions and compana lab haha. I always worried about not knowing how to draw blood and all that Pero I’m sure kaya naman! In med, we have an org that helps you learn those skills that you didn’t learn in undergrad, you can practice on each other! Also, you will be taught naman rin in class! So yes I felt less experienced Pero that never discouraged me naman because if you give your best, it’s all goods! Hehe I’m glad you find my channel helpful!! TBH, like that talaga pag hum bio haha it’s not going to give you the clinical skills you need for med school haha it will just bring you there faster because they expect na kaya mo naman mag-adapt or learn faster (which in my opinion kaya naman) I mean there are people who don’t even have any pre-med background (Engineering, com sci, pol sci) Pero they managed to excel! So I believe in med school being smart is a bonus Pero staying determined and persevering is key!
Future Dr. Zoe waah I’m so glad to know that I’m not the only one who feels that way! Hahaha thank you so much ate! May you continue to inspire other aspiring doctors po. I hope to see you in HSI soon ate 💚
Hi! I just wanted to know if the course I got in DLSU, which is BS biology major in medical biology, also requires me to go to cavite for my last year as an undergrad. Thank you!
Hello! Nope! Only BS Human Biology since it’s the fast track program ☺️. Also, DLSU recently restructured their biology program so your course actually looks really interesting! And I saw that the curriculum really looks useful for medical school!! Good luck fam! You got this 💚
manalili street my Star Scholarship I got from DLSU as an entrance scholar and the scholarship carries over until medical school since I am a Human Bio student. In my medical school, there are different entry scholarships you can apply for such as: Brother President Scholarship Grant for students who graduate with Latin honors and need financial assistance, Dean’s scholarship award given to students with high NMAT scores and undergrad grades, entrance scholarship given to students who graduate with Latin awards, Students recommended by the deans of DLSU Manila or DLSU Dasma, and special scholarship for those who are top 1 of licensure exams.
Thank you so much for this video!! Thank you for enlightening us with BS HumBio. May I ask if the Star Scholarship still apply if you're already in medschool?
Hello! You’re welcome! If you are taking BS Human Biology, the Star Scholarship will apply until you finish medical school as long as you keep your grade up!
@@doktorazoe I have question 😊 I have already been accepted in Hum-Bio. And I would Iike to thank you for your informative video 😊. Since I am accepted in Hum-Bio would the admission office consider me for a star scholarship? And another question is that the star scholarship is only for him-bio po?
huhu, i badly want human bio to be my pre med course but i’m not smart enough (my hs grades are low) 😭 do i still have a chance to be a human bio student po? 🥺🥺
You need to score high on the DCAT, so I suggest to really study hard for it! Sometimes they say that the hum bio students are chosen by their score sa DCAT others say its a combination of DCAT plus HS grades. So don’t lose hope yet! Study hard for the entrance exams! I believe you can do it! 💚

hello for undergrad that’s 70-90k per trimester. There are a total of six terms since 2years only in DLSU then the tuition fee for medical school is around 300k for freshman year then it becomes a bit cheaper in the next years like 280k I think? More or less it’s around that much.

hi everyone ,if anyone else needs to find out about online human anatomy and physiology course try Anatomy Blueprint Pro (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my mate got excellent success with it.
Wow huhu such an inspiration. I’ll be taking the same track din po. May God bless you more!
Cecilio Manzo II Awesome! Good luck! I’m always here if you need any help! ☺️
dlsu-d has a 3-year course naman, called bs med bio (aimed as a preparatory med course) and I think the advantage of it is that you can pursue any med school you want rather than being stuck with dlshsi which can be quite expensive if you do not have a scholarship
Hello! I believe their straight to med program is in partnership with DLSMHSI as well.
With BS HUM BIO, you also have the option to choose another medical school after you graduate, but again that would defeat the purpose of the straight to med program since you would have to repeat first year med again since that was your third year for undergrad.
Hello po Doc! I'm a HumBio student. Thank you for this vid and for the tips by the end ❤️ Personally felt that hihi Thank you po!

For how to apply to DLSU Manila, here’s a link with the details. www.dlsu.edu.ph/admissions/undergraduate/freshmen-procedures/
I’m so happy to hear that you were inspired by the video 💚
Thank you, Doc! I’m going to take DCAT this month or next when this pandemic is over. I wanna ask doc if is there a maximum amount of student who will qualify to enroll for bs human biology since I heard this course is a quota course. And also, how much score do you need to pass this course? Is it more than 70% of the total items? Does your senior high school grade matters to qualify to this course?
Is it required that you took STEM Strand for SHS? Can you still apply for BS Human Bio if you took a diff strand?
BlackVelvet Trash yes! As far as I know, it’s based on your college application and DCAT results.
Hello mam. May I ask kung ano pong scholarship ang pwede applyan
If ever makapasa na po sa Human Biology?
pls make a tutorial video for microbiology! need it for med school. thanks
Dani Luna hahahahaha ded. Much love Dani HAHHA pass na tayo diyan siz Hahahah jk
May I ask how will they choose students today since there is no entrance exam ? Anyone with grade of 90 at least or there will be quota for it?
Do you have a copy of your schedule po from 1st term of 1st year to last term of 2nd year in your course. I would like to see lang po on what to expect po sa sched. Thank you!
Hi, I’m sorry I don’t have a copy anymore. If I recall for the science majors from first term to last:
zoology and inorganic chemistry -
botany and inorganic chem 2 -
comparative anatomy and organic chem -
histology, ecology and org Che 2 -
biochemistry and embryology -
genetics and cell biology
Had the chance to pass BS Human Bio in Dlsu, my dream course and university but really can't afford it :(
Aww I'm sorry to hear that. Sometimes God places us in places we don't want, but it is where we are meant to be.
Hi po! got recently accepted into HumBio💚 Can I ask po what month you took NMAT and if DLSU Dasma also follows a trimestral system?
Hello po 😊 ask ko lang po kung anong next after po ng 6 years na program po ng DLSU, gano pa po katagal bago maging doctor?
well after six years you get your MD, then you take an internship for a year tapos boards then if you pass that boards you’re a licensed physician. then you can choose your residency na and depending on your residency will be the type of doctor you want to be.
@@doktorazoe ask ko lang po doc mga ilang taon ka pa po magiging doctor? Sorry po dami kong tanong thank you po pala sa vlog mo ganda po ng content😊

Aww that’s so sweet. Thank you so much ❤️
hii po. i know im sooo late. like sobrang tagal pa bago ko nakita tong program na to. pero i just want to ask if you had saturday classes 🥺 Im an Adventist kasi and im interested sa program
@@doktorazoe thank you pooo ☺
Hi!! Is there a vacation like summer break in the span of your 2 years in human biology??
I wish you the best in your journey towards becoming doctor 💚💚💚
What is the number of students per human biology batch? Do you recommend reading in advance the summer before college starts? Loved your video!
Future Dr. Zoe omg!! Thank you so much for answering! This eased my anxiety a bit for next year. 💚

Hello Dr.
We took the NMAT during our second year in Taft. I’m sure you can do it!! Kaya mo yan! 💚
@@doktorazoe Hi Doc Zoe, the estimated amount you said was it the total fees to be spent, or is it just the tuition? It doesn't includes some laboratory fees?

Great vid! Is it hard to get into the program?
Hmm During my time, I would think so? Since I've heard of people who didn't get accepted into the program. Buuut I'm not sure if they made it harder or easier now due to the pandemic.
Hi po! Can humbio and org life be balanced especially if you're aiming to be a Dean's Lister? Or is it too hassle na?
@@doktorazoe thank you so much po for answering!!!
Praying for you 🙏🏼💚

hello! The internship is not included, since they give you the option to apply for internship anywhere you want. :)
Hii, Dr Zoe! I wanna ask lang po if I can shift my course to BS Human Biology. Thank you, dooc. God bless!
hello po! after po ng six years, kayo po ba mamimimili ng hospital na gusto mong pag training-an?
yes po!

Yes you have to take the DCAT.
Hello po ate! If ever po na hindi na itutuloy ang med school and stop na po sa 3rd year para makuha yung Bachelor degree in Hum-Bio po, ano po kaya ang job opportunities? Or need po talaga na tapusin at makuha yung MD? TYIA!
First 2 years ay na sa undergrad ka sa Taft. 3rd year is na sa Med School ka sa Cavite - 1st year med.
Pwede naman magstop after 3rd year or 1st year med. Job opportunities, its just like having a bio undergrad degree. Medyo sayang lang if hindi mo talaga goal mag med hindi siya worth it.
Hello po, may i ask how many students are accepted in this program, and out of how many applicants? 😊
Hii, I’m sorry i don’t know the numbers of how many applied. But max number of students is 30! However, it hasn’t reached 30 in a while. So they’re kinda strict with grade requirements since they don’t try to fill up the block. At least that’s what I think.
Hello po, Ms. Zoe 👋🏽
I really had no idea about Human Biology as pre-med course until I saw your video, and as I checked the list priority courses of DOST-SEI Scholarship. There is HUMBIO included, and ask ko lang po pag po nakapasa sa DOST-SEI Scholarship and pinili ang Human Biology as the pre-med course, di na po ba need mag take ng DCAT? I mean, straight to DLSU na po for the program?
Hello, I’m not sure how that works, but I believe you still need to take the DCAT. ☺️
Good luck!!! Start now in building your credentials for college 🤘🏼💕
Future Dr. Zoe Thank you po 💚
You’re welcome! Kayang kaya mo yan!! I believe in you 💚
Hi po sana manotice niyo po ako ask ko lng po kung magkano yung tuition fee for BS Human Bio po huhuhu nag prepre-pare po kasi ako and asko ko narin po kung magkano yung babayaran DCAT exam po
Good luck with studying for the DCAT! Study hard na rin and aim for the Star Scholarship! 💚
Hi po, may I ask po if yung BS human biology or accelerated program ng DLSU recognize po ba sa Amerika or makakapag residency po ba yung person with this BS degree?
hii im sorry i don’t know about the specifics for US. ☹️
Hi po, I would like to ask if merong separate entrance exam ang human bio po sa DCAT? thank you 😊
Hi! Same exam Lang po! ☺️💕
hello po what about Bs in biology major in medical biology pwede pong paexplain yung course po na to?
Hi, sorry I'm not familiar with the changes that DLSU made regarding BS Bio. That was a pretty recent change they made when I graduated na. All I know its a longer program compared to the 3 year BS Bio program La Salle used to offer. :)
@@doktorazoe thank you po!
Hello po, can I ask if there is an Intarm Program in DLSMHSI? 😊
Sorry I don’t recall anything called intarm.
Kailan po ba dapat mag take ng DCAT, UPCAT, USTET, etc., After po ba ng Grade 12 or bago mag Grade 12?
When I took the entrance exams it was during my senior year. So siguro during grade 12?
hello! i’m an ID 120 taking up BS APC in DLSU but I want to shift sa 3rd term. is it possible po?
Hello! As far as I know, you cannot shift into Human Bio 😔
Hi ate Zoee, I wanna take HumBio but it is a bit pricey course. How can I apply a scholarship for it? Thank you
www.dlsu.edu.ph/admissions/scholarships/
kindly check this website to see the different types of scholarships available! The best thing to do is do really well with your entrance exams so that you can get an entrance scholarship called stars scholarship, i made a separate video on this that you can check out! Good luck!
hi i didnt pass the bs humbio but i passed my second option which is the bs biomed in dlsu, will it be the same and how will my course work?
@@doktorazoe does that mean when i enter medschool im already a second year and will be able to graduate medschool after 3 years?
Hi sorry for the confusion! I meant that you won’t need to repeat first year med. For Human Bio students who want to study medicine in a different medical school (Not La Salle), they would need to start medical school all over again, so they repeat first year med since they already went through first year med during their 3rd year as a human bio student. However, if they choose to stay in La Salle, they go straight to second year med.
For BS BIO, it is not a fast-track course. You have your 4 years of college then you take the NMAT then you enroll in a medical school of your choice (it doesn’t have to be La Salle).
Sorry for the confusion!
Hi may I ask kung trisem ang human biology? and good luck Doc!
Hello! Yes, DLSU Manila follows a trimester system.
Thank you for the support 💕☺️
Hi Doc Zoe, thank you po, I would keep that in mind po. God Bless and More power po! ❤️
Do you have any idea how to get a scholarship for this program? Thanks
Hi 🥰 I made a video on this, Star Scholarship
What are the coverage po sa DCAT ate?
Hello! It’s pretty broad! It has almost the same coverage as all college entrance exams. It has Language Proficiency, Reading Comprehension, Science, Math, and Abstract Reasoning. It will be really helpful to use review books from review centers and buy the MSA practice tests sa national bookstore. 💚
@@doktorazoe thank you ate🥺♥️
Good luck! Kaya mo yan! 💚
I’m glad you found the video helpful! Your kind words warm my heart! I wish you the best and hope you get the scholarship! 💚
Thank you for answering my question and positive response! All the best to you, Doc!💚
hi!! is it possible to shift from Medical Bio to Human Bio?
No sadly, you cannot shift into the course ☹️
Hi can I ask kung anong year po sa bs human biology ka naka-graduate? thank you.
Started 2016 ( 2 years in taft, 1 year in DLSMHSI as my 3rd year which also served as my first year in med school) and graduated 2019.
This school year (2020-2022), I am an incoming 3rd year med student ☺️
@@doktorazoe Goodluck to your journey, Doc! Always take heart, Godbless.
khari thank youuuuu 🥰
how about financially? how much is the tuition?
Hello! I’m not that updated with how much the tuition fee is in DLSU especially now that they will have online classes. However, if I can recall when I was in Taft, I think it was around 60-90k per term? Considering there are 3 terms it could range more or less 120k to 180k per year depending on the subjects for the term. ☺️
Hi po! I'm planning to shift from bs medbio (3yrs)dlsud ... and pagnatapos ko po ba yun can I apply in any medschool? TIA❤
How much is the tuition fee and how can I get a scholarship in DLSU Manila?
@@doktorazoe Thank you!
Hi po ate! I want to ask po regarding the tuition fee per sem. How much does it cost po?
Hello! I'm not sure how much tuition costs now because I'm pretty sure nagincrease na siya, but back in my time (2016) it was around 70-90 per trimester. :(
Hello doc, can I ask? Lahat po ba makakapasa here? Ilang students lang po makakapasa? Hehe
Sone CA hello, feel free to ask anytime! 🤗. Pero yeah, hindi lahat nakakapasa kaya Kailangan talaga magaral nang mabuti
How about the tuition or scholarship po?
it’s separate from the course. you can apply for scholarships or get accepted into one :)
How much the tuition fees po to be a doctor in de la salle University po
jinnnah Te hello the tuition fee for medical school is around 300k for freshman year then it becomes a bit cheaper in the next years like 280k I think? More or less it’s around that much.
@@doktorazoe whole school year po..
Yes for whole school year naman
Thank you 😊❤️
Trisem pa din po s dasma? Or s human bio lang po ba trisem?
Hi doc! Passing the DCAT po ba is the only way in?? I mean, wala na po bang separate na examination for BS human bio or what?? tia!!🤗
No separate exam hehe. You just need to score high on the DCAT ☺️💚

40 raw pero most of the time they been getting less than 30
Does this course accept transferrees po? Thank you
Gelean Payod hello! ☺️ No, it does not.
I think BS Human Bio was DoktAura's premed--supposedly. But she chose to longer route
Ryan Robert Ventolero yes! She chose to transfer to a different medical school after graduating which takes a little bit longer. ☺️
Yes it’s pretty pricey at la Salle but la Salle is also very generous with their scholarships.
Good luck with your dream!! I’m always here if you need anything! ☺️
It’s nice to hear you want to be a star scholar and pursue medicine as well!!
@@doktorazoe OMG! I appreciate it very much Doctor! 💖
Haha yes! Good luck fam, and see you soon 💚
Hi, how old are you?
Hello! I’m 22. Currently, I am an incoming 3rd year medical student. ☺️
magkano tuition, salamat
It’s around 70-90k per term more or less. So that’s 3 terms per year and 2 years in DLSU. ☺️
@@doktorazoe salamat,
You got this 💚
Doc, can I ask on what type of scholarship you have entering in med school?
manalili street my Star Scholarship I got from DLSU as an entrance scholar and the scholarship carries over until medical school since I am a Human Bio student.
@@doktorazoe Okay, Thank you!! Good luck to you and to your studies, Dr. Zoe :)))
You’re welcome and thank you so much as well! Good luck with your application decisions! I hope you go to a university that is the best fit for you 💕
@@doktorazoe I have question 😊 I have already been accepted in Hum-Bio.
