Thank you for sharing useful information, I am doing a Google data analytics course so Google Analytics is important to learn as a data analyst or digital analyst? could you please elaborate on the relationship between data analyst and digital analyst, Thanks
Actually, I would wait a few more months before doing any GA4 courses. Google is going to still make some changes and worth waiting till they are released.
I always tell people it's never too late to be a digital analyst, but if you decide to do this, you must be aware that you will need to start from the bottom. If you have a domain expertise, then you can leverage that to show you don't need to start at the bottom, but generally, unless you have some experience it's hard to justify coming in at a senior level.
Hi sir, hope you’re doing great. I have a few questions regarding DATA ANALYTICS and your guidance would be great. I’m an elementary school teacher with 8 years experience, I’ve 16 years of education with major degree in Mathematics. I’m 31 years old, after a very long research I’ve finally narrowed it down to data analysis, I want to switch my field and I have a few questions and I need honest opinion/suggestion. 1. As I’ve mentioned earlier I’m 31 years old, is it okay to enter in this field or I’m late? The reason I’m asking this because I’m from Pakistan and we don’t have opportunities here in DA field and I want to work abroad instead of here. 2. Do people who are living in countries like PAKISTAN get job opportunities in countries like UK, US or Canada at my age? I can’t financially afford to move into these countries unless I get a job opportunity there.(My BIGGEST concern). 3. I’ve made a plan to cover all the necessary tools to become a data analyst in next 6 to 12 months, Excel/spreadsheets, sql, python/r, data visualisation tools, I’m going to learn all of these. 4. What is the scope of remote jobs in this field? I know you might be thinking that I’m worried about job before learning but it’s important to me. Please guide me I don’t go down the path which leads to nowhere. Thank you.
Hi, So to answer your questions see below 1. 31 is not too late to start as a data analyst, but if you don't have any experience, then you will have to start at the beginning which also means a low salary to start with. My advice would be that do data analytics as a side hustle whilst you are still a teacher. That way you can build out your skills and experience and also build a client base and a reputation. 2. I am not sure if you can work abroad, but there is a shortage of data analysts and if you can find a client abroad who will sponsor you then you can do that. However, that is very difficult so I wouldn't count on a job as a data analyst getting a role abroad. However, if you specialised in a field of data science, then your chance is slightly better. 3. Those are good tools to learn. For SQL if you can learn how to create and upload tables that would be good too. For visualisation tools you should also consider Google Data Studio as well as Tableau and PowerBI. 4. The scope of remote jobs is actually very good. I know several people who work as a data analyst remotely from Asia. The key is not just your technical skills, but being able to communicate well, solve problems, time and project management and managing expectations. Good luck

You don't necessarily need to know digital analytics to do data analytics.
See my video where I explain this

Is there really any point in taking the google analytics course you linked now or should we just go straight to the GA4 courses on skillshare?
Actually, I would wait a few more months before doing any GA4 courses. Google is going to still make some changes and worth waiting till they are released.
Good Mentor
Thanks
Thanks for posting this, is 37 to old to get in to this type of field?
