One day, when I start working, I'll donate as large of a sum as I possibly can. I owe every bit of my guitar playing ability to you, Justin. Thank you!
John Mayer is so badass. I think he still doesn't get the respect he deserves because he had early pop success.....and is a good looking dude. I honestly had no idea, until I saw him live on a tour with Sheryl Crowe ( also awesome songwriter/performer) and was blown away. Justin.....I love all that you bring and teach and inspire. Thank you for your work. Lot of internet guitar guys out there....some of which are good.....but I always come back here for the best. Cheers mate.

Justin just wondering what your suggestions on soloing would be? Using scales and how to get better at it, over chord etc. If you have a lesson or a very reliable video that you know about. Thanks
One thing I have to mention that hasn't been commented on before is how you absolutely nailed the John Mayer tone! It's what makes this riff really shine!
This is why l keep coming back to Justin. It's the whole package, tone, touch, technique, alternatives if you have small hands, and respect for the music. All without the hindrance of ego. Top bloke.
I think I might actually put in a comment here, since I rarely do. Justin - You're the reason I've been playing the guitar for 10 years and can say that this song is "oh, it's a quick take-in lesson for me." You made everything easy to understand while always being informative. Now I just need to work on my theory and improv skills, because those are lacking for me. Cheers, Justin! Keep up the good work!
@Flyers fan 23 'Broken Arrow' is song by the Buffalo Springfield from 1967 that Neil Young wrote and performed. It's also the name of his ranch he bought in 1969 aged 24, and also the name of his album with Crazy Horse in 1996.

I find myself listening to this lesson while I prep to speak this afternoon to a music teacher's group. They are having a luncheon and I'm the featured speaker. But just listening to you teach, Justin, is a pleasure while I think and write. Isn't that weird? Who does this? I listen to someone teaching music instead of listening to the music itself. I find that I don't listen to music so much anymore. When I was a teenager I listened for hours a day, and that was before iPods, mp3 players, phones, etc., that could play music anywhere, anytime. That was even before CD's and portable cassette players. Back to work!
Justin I must say that you are a very rare combination of an incredible player, experienced teacher and a really likable human being. It is not common. I tried many guitar courses and yours are absolutely the best. Superbly structured, well-thought and clearly explained. They helped me develop as a guitarist and a musician in general as no other. Love your work. I can't stop recommending you to everyone interested in their guitar journey. Thank you so much!! :)
Your guitar playing is beautiful. I could watch you play all day, which I actually have a time or two, much to the dismay of my wife. Your videos never fail to motivate me to practice better. Thank you.
im a beginner. love the sound of this song.it took me one hour to learn the first bar. THANK YOU JUSTIN. maybe i get back to this song in the future.... i will keep playing the first bar until it sounds better and my timing is very slow.. i wish i could play this tune...
What makes this tutorial stand out more so than the others is an in depth relation that Justin does to the scales and theory that really help tie this song together. I was unsure of how to tackle this one but its really helped me to understand how this song works. Thankyou! I feel like I can start working on the improv areas of this one now to finish it rather than just playing the basic chords. Also covered the nuanced slides into the notes which I was not getting 100 percent correct! Can anybody tell me the scales I should learn for the improv bits?
this was an awesome tutorial justin. can we get more of john mayer techniques and tricks tutorials? Thanks for all the work you put in for these tutorials and lessons
MrGdong Have you tried checking out ultimate-guitar for tabs/chords? It is a great place to find chords to songs. I recommend the one titled "I'm gonna find another you tab" verion 2. It's pretty on the money. The only difference I can hear is that I would recommend an F chord instead of the Dm that the tabs suggest. Best of luck! tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/tab/john_mayer/im_gonna_find_another_you_chords_935418
Most songs I have learned from from you teaching them and another person then I would put a twist on them. Thank you Justin. I was up last night and I saw this guitar lesson and I have been waiting to do this song for a long time and finally you did it. Thur the only one that can teach this song well
Justin ... you are an angel... i started learning guitar with your amazing videos cause where i live there isn't actually any good teachers and all those online classes are next to worthless for a beginner. ... that being said, u are still helping, i google something that i want to learn and first video that pops up is yours. you are amazing. thanks bredren stay awesome.
THE MORE I TRY TO PLAY THIS ...THE MORE I UNDERSTAND AND APPRECIATE YOUR EFFORT / TALENT .. CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH ... sorry for yelling but it had to be heard all over
Ok I’ve your watched your videos from the start and I thought why not support you its really been too long , so fair play Justin you really do have a neat touch and a simple way to teach , I always learn something so thanks , David
You've basically taught me to play guitar in the past 2 years and this is seriously the first time I see you slip up on a note. Glad to know you're human
Learning this song has been my goal since I picked up the guitar 1 year ago. You were my first guitar teacher and I finally think there's a shot I will pick this up in the near future. I've been focused on a lot of the basics and now the day has come to lear some John Mayer! Thank you for your dedication to making an impact in peoples lives and the guitar community. Idk how I only now have just discovered your channel. Usually I have to watch all kinds of different tubers to get my fix but Justin you have almost everything under the sun covered on your channel. I really appreciate what you do. You're a fantastic tool to have my guitar journey. Thanks mate!
Wow Justin, that was wonderful. This is the first time I comment in your channel, and that may be because I feel indebted to you for whatever I learned on the guitar. Thank you.
Hi Justin. I love listening your version, John”s lyrics doesn”t resonate with my state of mind. I am changing them to be positive and I can sing them. Thank you for this.
Thanks so much for this lesson... I've been playing this song for a while now but I've never quite got it right... this lesson will definitely help me sort that stuff out. Huge thanks
This video made a subsriber out of me. Brilliantly easygoing and student-centric delivery, perfect balance between the "big picture" and the details and stylistic nuts and bolts, superb tone, a warm and generous spirit... Thank you so much! I'll probably be over my neck in the deep waters of this song, but you're video (if any) will give me a fair chance at mastering it eventually.
First off, you’re amazing Justin! When you were talking about getting the vibrato on that hammer-on Amaj9, you can use your right hand for the vibrato if your strat bridge is floating a bit.
Finally some motivation to pick up my guitar again and learn something new . Thank you man you're literally the best.. everything I learned on guitar was from you .. Just a great teacher ^^
oh dear! THANK YOU SOO MUCH Justin for this! The only Thing i Need now is "hallelujah" by Jeff Buckley but his video version - the intro is so much better. But besides that: Thanks a lot for your free lessons and your unbelievable Patience!
very well explained! i’ve played this song wrong for months!! i thought my ear was good enough but i ended up just playing an incomplete harder to play version
Justin - First off, yours is a good lesson to be sure. I have been noticing this song lately online as I rarely listen to radio. Love the song, it's so musical, don't really care about the words, but getting curious about the chords. Your lesson clears a lot of that up. I hope this isn't too far off topic but I was wondering what you think of the Mike Dawes version of this song and do you think he strays a bit away from the original structure of the song - thanks
