Got to love the Doctor. He was going up against aliens disguised as, or believing they were, gods decades before Stargate : the movie or the the SG1 series !
Both were inspired by the Chariots of the Gods, which was published in 1972. It was a popular meme in the 70's. Now it's used in the tv show ancient aliens.
Sutekh has returned in a couple of the Doctor Who Big Finish Audios - once again brilliantly voiced by Gabriel Wolfe. One of the appearances is in the Bernice Summerfield series - "The Triumph of Sutekh" (FOUR episodes) along with the Seventh Doctor and Ace, the other is two linked Fourth Doctor (with Leela) stories "Kill the Doctor!" and "The Age of Sutekh".
I love how within this one episode they went from Baker quipping about 'is this where he keeps his relatives?' (in the new series they probably would have needed to explain the joke to the butler...)... to his reaction here at 3:13.

"I bring Sutekh's gift of milk to all human life. That will be 48 pence, please."
Love the song, hate the fact that we don't hear the whole thing. If it IS a complete song.
Gabriel Wolfe returned to Doctor Who in "The impossible planet"
I bring Sutekh’s gift of death to all humans
Nah, Sutekh brought it himself
