Arc Kocsog When you run your car forever without maintenance the check engine light comes on, which means your car's possibly about to have a serious mechanical malfunction. They're basically saying Warren keeps going until she stalls out of complete exhaustion, and her fitbit is telling her to take a damn break.

No, but she should have been on the ticket. The day it was in the news that she was not I knew Clinton would be in trouble. How could she have been so full of herself?? I am really angry! Now we have that guy as president who needs around 10 hours history lessons daily the next few years to even get to normal presidential level.

Clinton had all the money locked up and was assured of the nomination because of the so-called "superdelegates", who are really the ones who choose the nominee. That's why Clinton was so upset about the release of her hacked emails: they revealed her collusion with the DNC to rig the primaries so that she couldn't lose. Bernie gave Clinton a good scare and revealed her fatal weaknesses as a candidate, but it was never going to be enough. That same poisoned process won't give us Sanders, Warren, or any other true progressive as the Democratic candidate; instead, it'll give us another DNC-selected creature who will think and act like a Republican. How do you fix the process? You don't. You just stay home on election day or support a third party. That's why I, a lifelong Democrat (I voted Democratic since I was 18), have given up on the party. I'll vote for a Democrat who earns my vote, like Governor Jerry Brown in California, but I won't automatically vote just because a candidate has a "D" next to his/her name.
Trump will be voted out in 2020 because he's so awful, right? That's why the DNC figures they can get away with another Clinton-like candidate in 4 years. The candidate just has to have decent campaign skills in order to win, and then can continue Trump's policies with a friendlier face. Who loses in 2020? We do.

I thought that was the BALLSIEST part of the whole skit! Nothing like airing out some dirty laundry for the public. Even in the guise of a joke! My money is on Kate getting a HUGE raise in her next contract negotiation.
Generally (not always), the head writer exclusively does the weekend update sketch because of all the responsibility of that position (if the head writer is also a cast member). Tina Fey is an example where the head writer appeared in other skits, but the number shrank from the normal number she had done before being elevated to head writer. The point being, that the compensation comparison between a cast member that writes their own sketches that may or may not make it to the broadcast and one that is the head writer that is in charge of putting the show together and what's seen on the broadcast is an "apples and oranges" comparison that doesn't take into account all the extra responsibilities, as the comparison of time on camera for compensation is presented in this case. Now, as Jost and Che are co-head writers, there might be something to be said if they are both significantly higher paid than the rest, as the extra responsibilities are shared between them. I don't recall if Fey shared head writing duty with someone else or not (which might explain why she was able to do more than just the Weekend Update sketch), but she was the highest paid during her tenure as head writer (as I recall, correct me if I'm mistaken). So, I don't think that Lorne Michaels is a guy that's looking to underpay women or is blatantly sexist. I don't recall any female cast members leveling that charge and he was quite accommodating to Nora Dunn when she protested having Andrew Dice Clay host SNL.
