I just had to go through the driveshaft replacement - couldn't have done it without your video ! Talk about painful; you wonder if JD put any thought at all into the design of their machines. Final straw was having the shaft free at both ends but still unable to get it out until the footrest part was removed and the silver height setting mechanism rotated out of the way. Grrrrrr. As for that bracket securing the fuel tank.....(yes, I removed the rear wheel).

Can you remove the foot rest and fender deck as one piece?

No, it is not possible. There are only 4 bolts holding them together, so it is fairly simple to separate them.

A website I looked up said the hydraulic system is 2000 psi but going by what you said I'm guessing they are wrong and the pressure is much the same as the 455s etc 1000 plus or minus a bit ?

THe hydraulic pressuer for 4X5, X595 etc and X series tractors is around 1000 psi. I have MEASURED THE PRESSURE WITH A GUAGE. This is also what the Tech Manual states. Compact tractors like the 2305 1025 etc is 2000 psi.

Do you plan on replacing the implement pressure relief valve as recommended here.
John Deere Transaxle Hydrostatic Relief Valve
Must be Installed on X575, X585, X595, X728 and X748 Series Tractor Equipped with a Front End Loader. Requires M146148 Free-Wheeling Valve Control Lever.

No. I have running my Buford Bucket on 318, 322, 332, 425, 455, X495 and X595 tractors and have never had a problem. The JD loader is different so if you want to install the pressure relief valve, MIA885143, it will cost you around $450.

When you buy your tractors, do you buy them without the mower deck? If so, was the savings significant? I’ve also heard that purchasing the Buford bucket is challenging due to high demand, is this true. Obviously weighing my options on tractor purchases. Thanks for any insight.

@@victorthomas6782 I buy used tractors and most of the time they come with a mower deck. If you buy new, the mower deck is usually extra, depending on the model. My brother, Pete, will not be building any loaders for a while due to health problems.

@@jamesmabry2261 Sorry I snapped at you. I have been asked this question so many times by people who do not understand the purpose of the loader relief valve. I have never used it in any of my many tractors without any problem. That is my opinion which not everyone may agree.
