This particular bike was sold even before we could upload the video! But still, we thought to share this beautiful 900 Super Sport with you anyway. Harné will give you a little bit of historic background to this model, especially the 1976 model year. He then goes over many details that are specific for these Super Sports and takes it for a ride as well. More information about this particular bike can be viewed here on our website: www.ducaticlassics.com/motorc...
Thanks for watching this episode and see you soon at Back to Classics!

That was my exact motorcycle. In Australia it was shipped in the crate with 32mm carbs and different pipes.
This was done so that it could met registration for the first time. Then you went home and installed the 40mm carbs and conti pipes.
This thing was without a doubt the best bike I every owned. (and I had many)
Looking at this example you have the blue on the fairing looks too dark. Maybe it was different for european models.

Yep too dark , I have the original colour
Have owned a couple from new and restored many others
Also fork seal boots are from a later model , switch block is not original , and being a picky bastard that I am the ones I owned from new had a darker fuel tank silver to the fibreglass
But nice bike , nice restoration good job
Wish I could have kept mine but.

One of my favorite bikes. Great video and I am amused that you have a dog in a bike shop that does not like dogs. ☺

Beautiful bike, thanks for sharing it. These demo's always bring up two questions in my head:
    1) Do people around your shop know of you or just wonder why they constantly see these classic Ducati's riding around there?
    2) Have you ever crashed one of these beauties while on a demo ride?

I do know of a few that know of us and give a thumbs up when I go past them. Most people around here wouldn't have a clue though! I never crashed and I hope to keep it that way ;-)

Great camera angle in the riding. And yes the blue looks too dark on the fairing. And the dog doesn't like bikes hahaha.

We're 100% sure about the blue on the fairing. It's a different colour (and metallic) than on the decals but we have matched it to an original unrestored 900 Super Sport years ago. It might be that the camera shows it a bit darker that it really is. Never mind the dog ;-)

Anybody know where I could find a LHS shaved P2F08 for my '78SS pls? She still has the other 2 fitted, still but last owner ruined the front left while trying to extract a broken bleed nipple :-0
    Gorgeous video well done.

We have repaired numerous twin bleed nipple Brembo calipers. Send us a picture of yours and we might be able to save it.

Taglioni's masterpiece - lean, light (not so agile) and sounding glorious. Awful foot controls on these first left-hand side models.
