I think the best thing about the scene with Frank and DD on the roof is that both of them are right about each other and make amazing arguments but they're so stubborn and fucked up that they won't listen to each other

I love how you made a powerfully-acted philosophical debate between two polarizing vigilantes about the way the world works sound like a hilarious back and forth. Really shows the many ways a scene can be read
It's not philosophical though, it should comes down to pure and simple math, and Daredevil loses that front *hard.* Realistically, the amount of criminals who actually repent is statistically insignificant, and the ones who simply use society's mercy to return to a life of crime because it is easier is the clear majority. 9 times out of 10, killing is the right call, so Frank is the hero in this debate and Matt a delusional idealist.
@@kaiz1845 Well, I never said that one of them is right, now did I? Whoever is right or wrong doesn't necessarily matter here. What does matter is that they both represent conflicting ways of looking at the world and are arguing about it.
@@vicenzostella1390 You never said which one is right, and I never said you did. My main point is that this debate should be about numbers and not philosophy. The reality is that we can easily quantify the costs and benefits of each viewpoint, so the numbers should be the only thing that matters. The part about Frank's "way" being more beneficial is just me rambling on because I like to hear myself talk lol.

For if we argue morals, it likely ends nowhere. It's possible to convince them through it, but unlikely.
However, if we were to use numbers and results, you're saying it'll be more effective.
@@vicenzostella1390 Yeah. Basically, all the morality of how to treat criminals goes out the window when one side of the argument will straight up just save more lives.
The humour of this series is just great, it's not over the top and feels really natural.
The MCU should learn of this.
in my opinion daredevil had some of the best if not the best kind of humour

I just watched this episode & goddamn, Matt & Frank have more chemistry in their 30 minutes of screentime together than Matt & Karen do throughtout the entire show (nothing's happened but I KNOW they're trying to set up Matt & Karen). I mean a nickname in what, half a minute?
