Dietrich Kappe mutually assured destruction, anyone? Perhaps MUTUALLY ASSURED DISTORTION? Hot little pedal! The Dan Echo is also a favourite of mine ... it has that “rounder”, more analog-sound when ones ears tire of the digital delay cut. If one has not tried it out, do so! Great tone sculpting in a simple, lavender pedal. Sturdy build, too.
In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex.
Great playing as always but I need to commend you on such a great demo - you really show what the pedal can do by cycling through different settings and guitars - fantastic.
This is the demo, after this I plunked down for one. The Eisenhower and Keeley's Fuzz Bender are two of the most versatile fuzzes on the market. This demo and Rabea's for the KFB and I was broke for cash but rich with tonal possibilities.
@@johnwoods5140 Well, it's all personal opinion, but the Eisenhower never fails to produce an amazing, eviscerating sound. It's in the octave fuzz family, so, if that's your speed then it's a steal. The Keeley covers so many other fuzz sounds that it's ridiculous, but it is more of a tweakers kinda pedal. With both you've got 80% of the fuzz world pretty much covered for not too many dimes. I've kind of been on a fuzz quest and I seem to be in the octave camp, but pretty much the world of fuzz tones amuses and inspires me. I've amassed a small army of fuzz pedals in the last year or so and that Dano really tripped me out for how immediate and distinct it is. I've got a Fulltone Octafuzz that's the real deal but ol' Eisenhower is a bit more instantaneous and odd. I hate to make it more difficult, but get both. Just budget wisely and enjoy the wide array that fuzz has to offer. These 2 could keep you occupied for awhile, though. Also, if starting a fuzz collection be sure to get a decent eq pedal to follow up with. These 2 have enough of their own control but many other fuzzes you can pull a ton of weird stuff out of them by exaggerating their frequencies. I have some of the pricier fuzzes and some bargain basement stuff and messing with an eq after even a cheap fuzz can really surprise you. Fuzz is a pedal that can be amazing at all ends of the pricing spectrum. It really does become an addiction. A decent overdrive, delay and a phaser keeps me happy when I'm not fuzzing, but a fuzz and some reverb and it's like I've been abducted by aliens. Apologies... this kind of ran on and may have ceased to be useful...
@@mykhedelic6471 thanks for all the info, but I just learned about the DOD Carcosa and ordered that. And lucky for me (it was the last one at Sweetwater), because right after I did I learned that they are discontinued!
@@johnwoods5140 Yep, Andy Martin did 3 or 4 videos for Carcosa, because it has tones for days. I've got about 25 fuzzes, Carcosa included, and Eisenhower probably amuses me the most. It's pretty versatile, but my Carcosa, Keeley and ZVex are probably the most versatile. Once you're in the fuzz you start to develop a pretty discerning ear. You start craving the many flavors of fuzz. I just plunked down on a used Wampler Fuzztration (dislike the graphic, but the versatility can't be denied.) I went 25 years on a delay pedal, only. You can get alot out of the right pedal. But, when you branch out, you can lose your mind (and all your money) in the pedal world--- and then when you get to fuzz-- it's time to start harvesting your plasma. Carcosa will keep you busy, but when you want more... there are alot of unique flavors out there. You've heard 5 overdrives you've nearly heard them all, but fuzz? Textures, colors, voices, shapes etc. You can get in deep without it getting snobby. Sculpt your sound. Get chiaroscuro.
I love the sound with the fuzz level all the way down! Although the crazy fuzz chaos is awesome, I love that bell like tone! It's almost like a guitar trying to emulate steel drums.
So I need help deciding which fuzz to buy. I really love the Robert Shoe but can't get in contact with them. Then there are the Danelectro and 3669. Which one would be the best one to own?
Hey RJ, kind of off-topic, but can you do a video on how to replicate a double tracked guitar solo in a live setting with a harmonizer? Also, thumbs up on this video!
Great demonstration of ALL the sounds of the Eisenhower pedal by R.J.! Makes me want to find out what I can find!!! (I need someone to GIVE me a good attenuator for my Vox (UK-built) AC 30 TBX ... I cannot afford what is out there! My wife and daughter would greatly appreciate it ... as would I!)
You are such a killer player man. You consistently get the best out of everything you demo. Thank you!
Fuzz against the military industrial complex!! (Checking your Eisenhower knowledge.)

I love a good Fuzz - Poison Ivy from the Cramps got me hooked in the 1980's
I got so fired up I got my fuzz pedals rocking and now the old lady won’t talk to me. Wait, her lips are moving . . . Dammit! I’m deaf again!
Underrated comment.
And the award for "Dad joke 20201" is....Scott T, come on down here Scott and accept your award of Thumbs
Love to hear this with bass. Near the end you dialed in a pretty convincing Super Fuzz! Great video, R.J.!
A Super Fuzz with an EQ! Sign me up!! Sounds great

This pedal is smoking! Thanks RJ for taking it through its paces.
Great demo as always RJ.

Those are the two I'm trying to decide between! So you got both? I'm curious to hear your opinions/thoughts of each after a few months?

R.J. Ronquillo RULES!!!
Sick Fuzz!!! Cheers from Texas 🍻!!!!! Keep Up the great work!!!!
Nice that you can get some Octavia tones out of this as well as straight up fuzz. Killer pedal and an awesome demo RJ!

Good fuzz .... I like to hear that live .....nice tele sound

rj enjoy your unfettered style of playing...thanks for sharing...
Again, more tasty chops during a demo, frickin' awesome man! Oh, and the pedal ain't bad neither. Thanks R.J.
Love the attitude and bad ass playing that fuzz brings out in you. So much cool there.
...RJ , like ur friend Brett Papa ...you both have great timing ..clarity with every note .... perfect speed .. thx for sharing"
Mad style!! Really making those pedals shine.
Love that 59X dude!
Kicking ass and taking names!!!! Awesome!!!!
RJ Rocks! Danelectro needs to make you their Ambassador!
Best demo of the Eisen- Pedal I’ve seen so far. Only thing is you should have turned the bass knob down to about 9 or 10 o: clock.
You are on fire with the demos RJ! Keep 'em coming! :)
Loved it on the green dan. Nice hat. I grew up down there next to Seal Beach in Sunset and Surfside
NICE!
Wow. Decent pedal

Strymon Deco will be your best friend for live settings!!
Nice boost sound RJ
The humbuckers sounded superb. Ripped.
FINALLY!!
Awesome. Great job
Is that relic’ed? Looks good enough, so no problem there. I just didn’t know that this was a thing.
It is!
Sorry I was writing about the fender acoustic Tele

Very cool!
This vs the Overhive? Any opinions on which?
#TonallyAwesome
Got DAMN!
Wait. Double Like!
Sounds good cheif
This or 3699?
Looks like reliced pedals are going to be a thing now....
Also this may be the first pedal that makes position 4 on a Strat sound good.
Where can I get that jam track? Shit rips.
Thanks! Check my Patreon link the description, one of the perks is access to my updated backing track library. This is in there.
Anyone can solo on fuzz and make it sound good- need more eh
4 knobs, a toggle, but only two tones? Babcock to the drawing board, Danelectro.😕
Yuk.
Oh the hype that is the ugliest guitar I have ever seen
IMO, That is one crappy sounding fuzz pedal.
I’d hate to hear what you think sounds good
Some chords would be interesting.... some of us are not shreders.
