Yes! That's also my idea that Aranessa should be next. She's cool as a character - but she doesn't fit at all as leader of the vampire coast. Without the mod that makes her a faction a non-dead-pirate one she's one the least fun legendary lords.
One of my favourite mods in warhammer 2 was the Sartosa overhaul that gives you the choice to go full living faction! Living lords, heroes, legendary heroes and lords, new living magic, artillery and tons of units, buildings, techs... rosters of dwarfs pirates, Norscans (that Aranessa debuffed like mad if in her army, which makes sense) and privateers, a awesome mod i loved to play and hope get translated to warhammer 3.

Mazdamundi may be painfully bland, but throwing spells with artillery range is pretty rad. He could use a second spell line though, if any other character deserves it aside from Mannchild von Carstein, it's him.
only reason why he even needs this range is that he is one of the very few spellcasters without flying mount.

King Louen Leoncoeur I don't know why Tzeentch would send me to a faction that would hate me more than Khorne but here I am. As for you, you rule a faction more forgotten than even Norsca. as memed on as they are. The only update since the addition of a Joan of Arc stand in character is Alberic flung off to Lustria and getting Jungle as a suitable biome.
You struggle to fight the weakest of vampires, easily get over run by a fat goblin on a mobility cycle and get utterly devastated by both large rats and Belakor, who mind you does nothing apart from take your two settlements you start with.
As for faction traits, you have no bonus to uniting Bretonnia and you give only the smallest perks for your faction, even Alberic has better traits for your faction.
You struggle to have anything more than peasants if you even make it to turn 40. Only having good cavalry in a world where every faction has either better anti cavalry or monsters. Not to mention all of your strongest warriors are merely simps for a wood elf mage, selling her bath water for protection against chaos.
Your chivalry mechanic forces you to fight endless battles for a hundred turns while not doing anything interesting and in exchange you don't have to worry too much about your vows.... You did remember you had vows? And that you need to complete them to reduce the upkeep from your only good units? Gods, even Tzeentch wouldn't be that cruel to his followers.
Oh yes and for all that work you get the green knight, a single warrior that is half decent in a battle and leaves after a few turns, but only summons at your main army, that is until you have close to twenty thousand chivalry, anyone that plays that far could have already won as half of the other factions.
The only redeeming quality is that you can auto resolve every battle once you have grail knights and your economy is slightly better than dark elves now that the chaos dwarfs have stolen their slavery mechanics.
Fucking hell. Lady of the Lake bathwater better make it into the final cut.

That and they just outright copy and paste stuff from King Arthur without being remotely subtle about it or tweaking it a bit.

Mazdamundi is truly the saddest legendary lord. The biggest gulf between the lore (the most powerful being in Warhammer) and the in-game implementation. And one of the most atrociously performing AI lords, who gets frequently crushed by Markus or Morathi.
Not to mention the Skeggi shenanigans
I’m actually really sad for this too because I saw a video on the end times being kind of fixed and saw a bit more about Mazdamundi but in the game he’s just… terrible dear god he just dies every single time I wanna try to ally with him. What a shame
Holy fuck his lore vs gameplay gap is so vast it could fill the ocean between the new and the old world, in the lore he was so strong he shot magical blasts breaking apart continent sized chunks of the destroyed moon.
He seemed like a threat during my Markus playthrough because he killed the colonies... and then I wiped his entire faction with a level 1 general.

Could give Yuri a bit of a roasting. The OC Do Not Steal that failed to even do the thing he was named for and has been completely forgotten ever since the new champions of chaos came out, let alone the chaos dwarfs. Tzeentch didn't even send the Advisor to him, the Advisor just decided to roast him while on his way the the actual legendary lord he's been sent to.
i litteraly hold a generic chaos lord higher than the so called daemon prince, partly because they actually earn their acension while yuri only gets it because the gods want to spite belakor.
Be'lakor is literally so much better at doing everything he does. I did a deamon prince campaign a few days ago and I literally just ended up auto resolving small settlements until I got the short victory and dropped it. Did like 3 actual battles because everyone around me was just going to kick my ass if I tried to fight with that wet noodle of a lord. Man is supposed to be an action figure you mix the parts of, but he ends up being a crappy version of whichever monogod you dedicate yourself too.
Don't mistake my presence here as a sign of Tzeentch's blessing upon you, DANIEL. I was on my way to advise Malus Darkblade, you know the character that most people know and has a lore that people actually like, but I figure I should show up and see how the only true undivided daemon faction is doing despite being lead by a random-ass Kislevite that got turn into a daemon because the 4 gods thought it would be funny. Espeically since you were actually more powerful as a human then you ever were as a daemon prince.
Calling himself the "God Slayer" feels dishonest when all he did was shoot Ursun while he was chained up. It's not like he fought Ursun man to bear, because we all know the bear would have torn him up like a chew toy.
The advisor should remind how his history was a crap version of arthas menethil warcraft 3.

The copypasta is great but I don't see Setra being a good roast, since he actually a good LL. Strong melee, a good lore of magic, two awesome mounts, great diplomatic lines and two campaign mechanic so great CA copied them for several other factions.
No the tomb king to roast would be: Khatep, the one everyone forgets about. A squishy spell caster, his one unique feature that turns him into an artillery piece actively works against him. If he stays back to take full advantage of his range he'll never be able to cast many spells and if he pushes forward with his army that leaves him exposed since he's so slow and vulnerable. And it's not even a very good artillery piece either. One eagle bolt claw thrower way out damages him.

I want a video in which the Advisor says "Lord Cra..." and then Tretch quickly hides behind a tree, so the Advisor walks up to him, but as soon as he opens his mouth Tretch runs off to hide behind a rock. This goes on for 5 minutes until the Advisor gives up and leaves.
It's a shame that maz is literally so nerfed from his lore self. It would be cool to have had a warhammer game where he could literally split earth and bring Down much more massive comets

It is the fate of lizardmen to be forgotten by their gods. Don't get me wrong they've gotten a lot of lords, but every dlc they've been in it's been the other faction that's gotten the cool shit. Ikit Claw absolutely got the cool shit of that dlc which happened to have a lizardmen faction... just because. Huntsmarshal Wulfhart got the cool mechanics of his dlc which, granted, having lizardmen in that one was more relevant it still didn't add mechanics to the greater factions as a whole. And Oxyotl? The guy that came with the Beastmen dlc? Yeah no. It's hard to say the lizardmen need more love when they have one of the highest legendary lord counts in the game but they definitely need some love.
Even a single dlc that's actually focused on them would do the trick, just something that doesn't make them the second place of every single dlc they've been in. Maybe not nakai because he did add some cool stuff but like even if nakai got out ahead of the rest of the lizards it's only mechanics for him and his factions alone.

The geomantic web annoys me for the fact that its not just underbaked, gives you very minor economic gain, but the shittiest excuse is "Oh it buffs commandments", yea commandments, something that is a overall minor buff, it doesn't make or break a campaign, never once was I able to effectively use the military commandments, though one mod I have apparently makes the pylons increase the financial gain substantially, then proceed to make you more likable by other lizardman lords but good luck confederating them.
What if the Geomantic pylons had more individual tiers, expensive but give asteroid inducing buffs, not just stat increase but more utility like able to teleport an entire army to one of your own controlled cities.
I think Mazamundi could use another spell tier, but the Comet spell is powerful and I think it can one hit roughly anything that is a large single entity.
All very to the bone mazda should be a floating nuke until he gets zlaaq then he should be a dinosaur carrying a nuke instead he's a meh lord who refuses to confederate even when he has no settlements left and his army is dying

you know... Mazdamundi is stuck in his position as a border guard, but the only reason he even survives that long is Taurox and Khatep kicking the teeth out of 90% of the dark elves, at least in my games, Khatep does pretty well a lot of the time

Saurus are among some of the best in their weight class IMHO.
@@DeusExAngelo I agree that they are not the worse infantry in the Game. But I consider melee infantry to be weaker than in my opinion they should be. If I could I would boost the heavy infantry like Saurus, iron breakers, and Chaos Warriors. They don't seem worth it to me, especially when considering monsters. Kind of good at holding the enemy, but they don't deal enough damage, unless you buff them a lot.
I did find it disapointing that Temple Guards are so weak
I had hoped temple guards would become t4, Star Chamber guardians would become a pseudo T5 unit if it also needed a Star Chamber + T5 settlement building to produce, And the Mortuary Relic Guard would be the new RoR
They do hold a line for a pretty damn long time. I like to recruit like 4 of them in a stegadon doomstack.

Mazdamundi is a good representation of the state of the game imo. Its a total mess. Quality is extremely inconsistent and there are so many issues that despite it being the third and final installment of the series with a large amount of DLC it still feels and plays like an Early Access game.

I started playing wh2 around a month ago because for some reason my pc can't run wh3, anyway having heard what Mazdamundi did in the lore I decided to try him as the first lord, believing him to be cool... And it ended with me dying everytime, if it wasn't skeggi it was those fucking skaven. Now I'm playing with other lords and I'm doing much better, i'm still sad about it tho, as soon as I'll start playing better I'm gonna try Mazda out again.
Yeah, even though he's supposed to be the faction leader for the Lizardmen, he makes a lot of powerful enemies, so I don't think his campaign is very friendly for beginners
How about Wulfrik the Wanderer next? Or maybe he would be better after a Norsca update

Best part of the video was the lack of BOOM sound after saying he was more dissapointing than the Realms of Chaos campaign, yes its a hell of a sick burn but you also can't claim that one to be true with a straight face, few things or characters that could ever live up to THAT. Hmm, maybe Mannfred from a lore perspective.
I've played as the lizardmen, I've only played 4 of them because the rest are forgettable, the Web is actually pretty good... For lizardmen who doesn't suck. Itza is the only truly good lizardmen faction, I want to say that Nakai is a great faction, but I can't, even with my biased opinion on Nakai, he's too slow, too expensive, in an unfavourable area, and can get crushed way to easily. Even in the quest battles Nakai sucks, and dies easily.

Legit I really enjoy Lizardmen, but have never played Mazdamundi. Always hated his start position and figured he was kinda basic. But damn, I've never actually looked at his Faction and Lord Effects on the start screen... I'm glad I've never touched him except when killing him in campaign lol

I'm still going to try to ally him as the Jade Dragon to make a mixed army of Dragon and Dino ppl. And I think the Ancient Asian aesetic goes well with pre-Columbian Meso-American.
The Lizard Men's best lord is the Life Slann. Despite trying over and over CA can't figure out what to do with them.

Mazdamundi was my first vortex campaign and my first successful legendary campaign. So this one stings. Particuarly because I agree with almost all points made.
