- Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is squashing internet speculation that he’s boosting his height on the campaign trail. Videos circulated in recent weeks on social media have analyzed DeSantis’ boots and claimed that the Republican governor is wearing lifts. The videos point to sometimes oddly shaped toes of the boots, as well as DeSantis’ gait when he wears them. Colby Hall, NewsNation contributor and founding editor at Mediaite, stated that no president in modern times has been shorter than 5 feet, 11 inches.

When there's a group photo, Desantis always maneuver himself to stand either close to the female in the group or between the two shortest men or between a short man and a female.
When he debates one-on-one, he's always closest to the main camera and his opposition farther away, thereby he appears taller and his opponent smaller.
Also, on close-up still shots, he fills up more of the screen and his lone opposition less, so he appear to be more imposing.
