Or they could've just given him the death penalty after that first kidnapping attempt. (which I believe was a 13 year old girl who hid in a playground tube so he wouldn't find her.) The death penalty would've been much better than letting him out, when they knew what he was trying to do, and they should have guessed that he was going to try to do it again as soon as he was let out. He is a terrible monster, and his demise would not have been any loss to the world.

Everything in this case broke me. I took about 4 hours to see this video. I paused to eat, ask ChatGPT some questions about animal evolution, etc. but knew that I "had" to finish this video. I wanted but didn't want to continue, but I had to, so to understand some things.
As for the mother, I understand that many times delinquents "outsmart" people just because it's an unexpected situation vs. a well-planned and crafted one. It's 40 years of experience in crime vs. 30 minutes of the mother dealing with it. All of us could behave stupidly when facing time-tested criminal plots. That said, I think that the mother falls in the extreme of the stupidity spectrum. So, in these cases, the best thing to do is to follow some thumb rules, as those stated by Annie Elise. DON'T OVERTHINK, JUST FOLLOW THE RULES. No boarding stranger's cars, etc. "But in this case he seems...", "But until now he has shown...", but nothing, just follow the rules.

That's his job, Dip Shit. A member of law enforcement has to stay and preserve/protect any crime scene until it has been fully processed and all evidence tagged and removed. I'm as pro-police as anyone, but the cop who happens to be posted to a crime scene until everyone else gets there isn't some kind of hero going above and beyond the call of duty. My bio dad was a PDF file - mom had no knowledge just to get that out of the way - found out after he died that he had been SAd by his own father for his entire upbringing
I only mention this because while I despise what I know and what my family went through, I know my father also truly suffered. It’s likely impossible to come out of that kind of childhood trauma without a mental illness.
I truly believe there’s no way to eradicate this other than a life sentence in any kind of prison or asylum or chemical castration. The permanent kind. If they’re going to INSIST on letting them out of prison, they should be biologically altered so they’re no longer a threat. Probably a spicy take.

I always wondered why many people sit in prison for life over drug charges but time and time again, pedos are let off easy.
Repeat offenders is a must, and after being caught so many times - then it becomes a case of murder in hopes to not have their crimes reported.
I don’t fault this mother. She was desperate for the cash , thought it was one and then the other - this man should have never been out in the first place and if the call of him lurking at a Walmart was taken seriously- it may have stopped this situation. Nothing in this world is free - no one is “nice” to a child for other reasons. Would I have let my child walk alone with the man - NOPE. But she was desperate to have money to provide for her child. How much time he invested , like she said “grooming “ them. So many things failed to cause this serious case and I’m happy the siblings atleast get to live with family in the end.
      Poor Cherish !!

The fact that this happened at 11pm the night before the child was going to be spending the summer with her dad makes me extra sus. Why bring out a kid who has to take a cross country flight the next day (at 4am) and keep them out til almost midnight?? I think she was perfectly okay with her child being taken, as far as she was concerned it was happening anyway. What an evil cunt....I hope karma gets her bad bad.

If the system had done a better job of keeping a dangerous predator imprisoned and/or granted Billy custody of Cherish, she would be alive.

Who in their right mind lets a child go into the dressing room with a stranger or let her go by herself with him because apparently shopping is more important??? 😡Like her daughter in Australia said, the predator was looking for a kid to take no matter who it was, and this mom was stupid enough to fall for the bait

I totally agree. She knew good and well she was making a bad decision. When she called 911 she even basically ratted on her self when she said the POS went into the dressing room with her daughter 2 times. She had to have known that was a red flag for her to even mention it. She was desperate to get items for her daughter to take to her dad’s house because she probably worried how it would look if her daughter got there with what little she had. The dad had already tried getting custody. If he sees that the child support is not actually being used for child support then that would be a good excuse for him to try and get custody again. I can’t get over the fact that she POS murderer was not already in prison for life. Also, how did the mom think she was going to get home! Was she keeping her fingers crossed 🤞🏻 that he would just pay for everything and then drop them off at home safe and sound?! Just praying that him creeping around the first store was a coincidence?! Just praying the fact his phone did not actually ring was because it was on vibrate?! Just praying the reason the wife never showed was because she’s a slow poke?! Just praying the wife wanted to meet at Walmart instead of the first store was because she was closer to Walmart?! Just praying the rope in the cart wasn’t meant for something sinister?! Just praying the worst that could happen in the dressing was him exposing himself?! Just praying it was no big deal that she left her phone in the classic murder/rape/abduction van?! Just praying it was a coincidence that the middle seat was missing from said van?! Just praying that the little children he mentioned were grandchildren because he clearly looks too old to have his own children around that age?! I still have 30 minutes left of this video and I’m already beyond angry at the mom, the POS and the Justice system.

My guess is the mother had been through a lot of emotional and mental trauma throughout her life, which could be why she was more trusting than she should have been. People that have been manipulated and kicked down throughout their lives tend to be more naive and trusting than they should be. While I would never allow any of this with my children I can easily see how in a moment of desperation your judgement could be clouded. I just heard them say he took her to the dressing room, which is definitely a red flag and never should have happened but didn't hear that he went IN there with her unless I missed that part. Regardless, this sick monster is the one to blame in this situation and the failed justice system. He never should have been allowed into society after the fire time he harmed a child, but he had multiple offenses and was still allowed to walk free. He took advantage of a desperate, naive, vulnerable woman and she will suffer for it. I can't even imagine what little Cherish went through and my heart breaks for everyone who loved her including her mother that will live with guilt for the rest of her life.
