1st off, you two have my favorite RV UA-cam channel. 2nd, I’ve always heard the statistics on veteran suicides but it really hit home recently. My teenage sons best friends older brother became one of those statistics.

My son made his first official "deployment" to Savannah. As he was stationed at Shaw AFB just up the road in Sumter, SC.m he was not too thrilled when he rotated back to the bottom of the list. Made up for it later. Thanks for showing us a few more places to stop by, We''ll be back there again this summer.
We usually take the trolley tour around in the morning and then walk around in the afternoon. Then out to Fort Pulaski and then a seafood dinner someplace,

Thank You for your service, love the vet owned focus you guys bring to the front of the line. We stayed at Deballation in March 2022 and it had the most interesting people to chat with but the craft beer is absolutely incredible. We arrived early and ventured into Richmond Hills looking for a walking trail, stumbled across J F Gregory city park and was blown away with how beautiful it was. Love you guys keep up the great work.

Great video and highlights of veteran owned busisnesses. As for saving propane I really would recommend swapping your old school RV water heater for a Girard on demand tankless. I love mine! I set the temp to 104 on the digital display when taking a shower (no mixing cold water to set ideal temp) and then to 124 when doing dishes. Best...

I will be participating in a fundraiser for Veteran Suicide Prevention in May. A cause very close to my heart. I’ve watched as my husband has grieved over the loss of two Marines he served with. We try to support small businesses as much as we can and it being veteran owned is a real plus.

22 a day. Not only does the VA suck, but so do we vets. It’s human nature to say Oh, i got your back. Call me anytime, yada yada. But when do we go out of our own way for each other. Personal testimony: just went through “huge fall from the ladder.” Not one of the vets at my job even sent a single text saying I’m sorry dude. Wanna get a coffee? It was super coincidental we had just had big meeting with everyone and people stood up and were all, everyone I got you, I love you, call me anytime blah blah blah. Then a few days later boom big situation with me and not a one said a thing to me. My point is everyday we all need to be better. Speak with kindness, truth and take the effort to connect with others.

@@wandrousvindella716 I am assuming your son took his life? I know it doesn’t mean anything, but I’m terribly sorry….. 💔. I couldn’t imagine as a father. My father-in-law did. It was/is a huge wound in our lives. Imo they don’t walk-the-walk at all. Put on the mask and soak up the identity of exercising compassion but all they could do for a fellow vet (me) who shared a story of pain was give a emoji reaction. Yet respond to others about their dam coffee machine. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve missed opportunities to make a difference too. But the words tend to fall short in absence of action in our world. Social media and our fake lives is out of control. My message remains, we all need to do better for each other everyday and it’s not about followers…

If y'all are still in Florida you will soon find out that May and September is love bug season. When they get smashed on the front of the rig or car here's a tried and true method to get them off. Buy a bottle of peroxide and put a sprayer on the bottle. Each day when you stop squirt them with straight peroxide. The protein in the eggs will start to bubble and soften. Before it dries rinse with a strong water stream and most will come off. You will need to wipe the remaing off. We have used this method for years with no paint damage.

It is not just that the VA falls down on the job, (due to underfunding and staffing issues), but also the stigma of Vets asking for help. Sometimes we are both the beneficiary and victim of 'toxic masculinity', (not thrilled with the term, but it is accurate enough). From the minute we get off the bus at boot camp/knife & fork school, DI's need to drill into recruits heads that the team must not only work together, but also that each member is the responsibility of every other member. The only way they can let the team down is by NOT asking for help if they need it.
The only thing I'd add, is that 'relentless patriotism' is not a virtue. If you can't call out the failings of the government that represents you, then your society is no longer a democracy, but a cult.
