This is exactly what I was looking for. I wish there was a video like this for every US city. Thanks a lot for taking the time on it. I’ll be in Charleston Sunday until ?, I’m a bassist (mainly) looking for the right place to play with good musicians.
there are a LOT of places to play here, but Feb isn't far off and a lot of places will already have their calendars getting full, but yea would love to listen to yall and see if it gives me any ideas
hey Noah im thinking of moving there. what's the private gig situation like? are there good players playing in multiple projects available for hire? know any good pedal steel guys? sorry its a lot but I am thinking of moving to do music there full time
@@jimmydenny168 hey Jimmy, sorry for the delay. Yes. There’s quite a bit going on here. There are some pretty skilled players around. I’m not personally aware of a good pedal steel player but I’m sure someone is here. It’s not a bad place to do music full time. Lots of private events in Charleston. More right after the pandemic but still there. It happens to be a major wedding destination, #2 in the US so they say, and lots of companies do their corporate meetings/events in Charleston. Also there are a handful of other cities within driving distance. Hilton Head, Beaufort, Columbia, Savannah, even north to Myrtle Beach and Greenville, sometimes further south than Savannah. All these places produce private event opportunities.

Hey Noah! What a great idea for a video! I watched all the way thru, even tho I’m west coast. Looks like you have some unique and cool venues there.
Hey DW! Thanks man. Charleston is definitely not without its merit. West coast is pretty great too though.
@@booknoahgrove best thing about west coast? We got Matt Bolton out here .. lol 😎👍🏻
true that@@dwstoeckel4740
thanks for sharing! we travelling from the UK and looking for gigs in Charleston in February. I'll definitely check out these venues.
