I got my Bilstein 5100 2”/1” lift through a local off road shop. The parts, install and alignment cost about $1500 🇨🇦 so roughly $1200🇺🇸 all in. That’s for 5100’s using factory springs and 1” ready lift blocks in the rear. Basically the identical setup as the factory/dealership “TRD lift” for a fraction of the cost
It ran me $675 for 2" 5100s front. 0-1" 5100s rear and Eibach 1" rear blocks with new u-bolts. $139 for alignment. It was easy if you have a big floor jack, jack stands and a couple ratcheting motorcycle straps. Then I put on 32s with no issues. Truck now measures exactly 3" taller. I didn't lose any blood or end up with a wrench stuck in a wall.😊 The only downside is after driving it for a while, the mpg is down 2 mpg. Other than that no issues or vibrations. The video by Team Oil Drop is the best video on how to do it. The ratcheting motorcycle straps were used for centering the rear leaf spring axle pins.
Wowed a little bit pricey but as long as you are happy with the outcome that’s all it matters. Even though sometimes we can do the lift ourselves either a lack of free time to do it or we prefer to pay a professional to have a peace of mind. Awesome video, keeping my 2022 stock for now.

I have a 2020 TRD Off-Road and I love it but probably was overkill for me since I don't go off-roading as often as I used to with my Jeep. My question is..do you notice a big difference with the V6 vs the 4-cylinder? I've contemplated getting my next Tacoma as a 4-cylinder due to it being cheaper and better on gas. Would you say that's a smart move or no? I don't have an issue getting another V6 but just wanted to see your point of view on it.

Had my lift done at the dealership. Probably not the most cost effective, but nice that it was under warranty.
It's still under warranty as long as it's under a 3in lift
My shop charged me $450 labor for tire changeover, and installing 4 Timbrens , Bilstein 5100s and 1”Eibach block in rear. In Ct.

Aing, for the lift, did you have to buy a diff drop kit and a sway bar relocation kit for this set up to work? I’m considering the lift you got

I've heard that there is a massive difference especially in hills and towing. Alot of people wish they had the V6 from what I can tell.
I just paid $672.75 here in Central Florida to install the same exact lift. Alignment was included in the price as well. Took them 2 hours
