Now I’m wondering, as far as I know, to play ads it’s required that your video needs to be 8 minutes long, instead of 10. Would it be possible with that method, to trick UA-cam and play ads in a “shorter” video? Fly in the green sky…
It surely would, but that's equivalent to just adding 2 minutes of nothingness to your video just to stretch from 6 to 8 minutes. Sure, you can do it, but it's stupid
i saw people be like "fly in a green sky" i thought it was an easter egg so i rewatched the video and forgot to pause at the end, then the video just talked to me.
I was working on a UA-cam video whose audio was mistakenly flagged for copyright and I decided to trim the section out because it was not truthful anyway. This same bug occurred where the portion of the video was cut out but the audio wasn't.
I could swear I’ve seen some other weird similar things that have to do with messing with the metadata on UA-cam uploads. I have seen a fly in a green sky, btw
I have two videos like this on my channel: "GO'd" and "Baconlover269 gets wrecked..." from 2016. the video how I remember it is preserved in the thumbnail preview when I drag my mouse on the progress bar. However audio and video is completely out of sync. These were the result of using the UA-cam Studio trim function, i belive youtube studio was in beta at the time.
7:15 idk if it still works but you used to be able to put timestamps longer than the video and it would make the progress bar overflow edit: nvm they patched it
Green skies don't usually have flies because green skies are generally when there's very active weather and bugs usually take cover at that point, so I can't say I saw such a thing. 🤷
For me, i thought it was the frozen screen glitch on mobile that the audio and the video is out of sync after the device's screen is frozen (btw it also does the out of sync thing when you playback. Tip: short vids makes it more popping at the end)
There's a similar exploit where a website supports WebM uploads (which is a subset of MKV) but with a size and length limit. That was used to upload files with a single video frame and a long audio track that exceeded the length limit, but had the container length patched so they would be accepted.
> be me in the kitchen > making some food > a fly passes by > the sound of the fly doesn't please my ear > go outside > see the sky is green What the hell is happening!?
Remember "CON". I know why it doesn't let you put a folder named "CON" and the others. It's because they are windows file names. Windows needs them. If you bypass it to make a folder named "CON" windows will use that folder as it's own. Just like AUX, and NULL.
Just been watching your videos on lnk files and wondering if there's anything weird you can do using a url file? Can it be used to make a local shortcut? Can it do anything else as an ini file inside?
I think they patched it... I mean I did everythign right, and got the video, but when I upload it the progressbar is still working (the video freezes btw.)
Thanks to Aikoyori for the emoji on the thumbnail :D
yay
I likeur channel
the glitched progress bar on this video doesn’t work on mobile
Fly Tech you made mistake at editing at 5:06
Its #4 Uploading
Not #3 Uploading
You put two "#3"

Imagine if he breaks the progress bar on this video
he did
he did!
he did
LMAO had no idea this would actually come true
Guess it doesn't work on mobile, at least not for me
1:56 Wikipedia has an entire article dedicated to almost everything
Stopping rendering while exporting a video sometimes creates these artifacts or even weirder ones

The magic here is using ffmpeg

Pop OS, a derivative of Ubuntu, yes

"I have seen a fly in a green sky" most beautiful qoute i have ever heard
There was a glitch where timestamps longer than the video would make the playbar stretch out far right
I've seen a video use this for a jumpscare. Had to go looking for how it was done.
This is gonna be really helpful for youtubers who want to get through the 8-minute video mark for monetization 😅
Not really. It's just like having 4 minutes of black screen to get to 8 minutes of video
You should give a hat to your fly in the next video! (Nice info, as always)
Maybe 🤔

I like how you make tutorials and videos about windows using linux
When i click on the chat box in the zoom meeting a dialogue box opens, but why can I see that in my taskbar?
WOW, it's good!
Fly, is there any ways to appeal a ban on your server?
I didn't mean to do so, but I really wanna know how to appeal a ban on your server.
It seems I figured it out before you needed to explain it,
It’s cool
I have not seen a fly in a green sky.
WAIT THE VIDEO ENDS AT 6:36 BUT THE BAR SAYS 6:52
I always though youtube reconstructed the video file you uploaded (like an old DVD) to exactly avoid this problems...
Showing a UA-cam bug, and then show it in the video itself was smart NGL
I've seen a fly in a green sky
Green skies don't usually have flies because green skies are generally when there's very active weather and bugs usually take cover at that point, so I can't say I saw such a thing. 🤷
back in the old day we upload the video to another site that has bitrate limits we use similar trick to make the whole file bitrate lower
when the fly in the green sky is...
The problem it's the youtube website size is small because that it keep showing
It does play normally on phone (not the browser)
actually
the audio will keep playing when you go to the other tab

There is a potential of buffer overflow exploit on youtube
Someone is somehow going to abuse this for ads.
I don't think Google will like to see it if you're trying to scam yourself around paying money
Fly, you missed the chance to do it on this video :(
I did not ...
Wait huh? I dont see it
WAITTT I didn't even notice this video had used the trick-
I saw that kind of bug like 5 years ago, but unlike videos shown here, bar stuck but video continued to play with audio.
Some times I do the back ground music bear but I didn't know were did it comes from bruh
So, tl;dr it's because the actual video in the container is shorter than the audio
Yep
I’ve always wondered about this!!
I have seen a fly in a green sky
This guy should start a classroom, he is that good
Also, I use iOS and macOS, do you have a tutorial for that?
idk if it is a fly, but it's on the green sky...
thank you
There’s an apple bug that drops you in at 2 days into a video for the first frame and refuses to load the next
It's not technically glitched on mobile, the audio plays to frozen video and the progress bar is not glitching.
It dont work on mobile
What's the music starting at 4:02?

when i use mediainfo it says it is unregistered or something how to fix?
Cool your using pop os thats one of my favorite distros

what happen if the bit rate overflows
How does this happen on videos when its not intentional?
Also green fly on a sky or something
Corrupted file, dumb encoder, interrupted processing, etc
What if the audio is shorter than the video?
Then the progress bar still goes to the end of the video track. The audio stops early and that's it
