I just finished this book. It was an entertaining read and I enjoyed this. Yes it was a little slow in the middle but the end made up for it with some twists which was interesting!. Probably about a 3.75 rating for me. LOL I rated that before I saw your rating at the end!

Omg I love that you rated it the same! 💚Definitely had similar thoughts about it

I have Tress waiting on my shelf, and my grandma has already read it. I've been reading like 7x more books than last year, so I will probably try reading it soon.
I just bought Frugal Wizard and Yumi... It's weird to have almost all Cosmere books and read only two of them so far (grandma reads too much).

Omg I love your grandma already lol. What did she think of it? Frugal Wizard's isn't in the cosmere. it's more like a sci-fi type of book that's totally separate so you can read that one without worrying about other Brandon Sanderson books. I really liked that one, but it is really different.
That's awesome you've been reading so much! I hope you're enjoying a lot of what you're reading!

@@kimberlyreads My grandma is the best!
I'm not sure what she thought of Tress; it's been a while; but she generally enjoys Sanderson's books (she loved Skyward series).
I know Frugal Wizard isn't in Cosmere, I just wrote that sentence wrong.
As for reading much - it's not really that much. Last year I read two books. So far this year I read 14. I miss the times when I could read that within a month.

I stretched myself thin last month and didn't get to this book (slacker). I will read it at some point and from your review it should be somewhat entertaining. I'm not sure when I am going to get to it though. At least I'm a leg up for this month because I already read that one back in July for OwlCrates The Nest app read-along. Their current read-along that started yesterday is Immortal Longings. I notice they try to do them with books they have previously sent in their book boxes. They only did one since I joined around springtime which wasn't one of their special editions. It was My Dear Henry: A Jekyll & Hyde Remix which I didn't love. I'm glad I'm ahead of the game with this month's lazy book club so I won't run myself ragged trying to do too many books at once.

Never ever feel rushed the read the book in the month! The video will always be waiting for you to watch whenever you get to the book. Since you already read Threads That Bind you can always pretend the months were switched and read Tress at the end of September of course if you have time. There are so many books to read with so little time
Yeah I really want to try and do more read-a-longs to keep up with books. Fairyloot also does read-a-longs for their books too.
I haven't read the Jekyll and Hyde Remix, but I did read the Wuthering Heights remix book by the same publisher and it was a DNF so I'll probably skip that one.

I was not as generous, I gave it a 3. I know if the ending is good you are more forgiving than I am. I think that I had too high of expectations for this and shouldn't have read it after the frugal wizard 's handbook.

Yeah the ending definitely helped me out majorly in Tress. I'm so glad you liked it Frugal Wizard's! I liked that one so much better too. It was definitely more of the type of book that I like.
