I love it!!
I'm glad a lot of people showcasing Guyana 🇬🇾 much respect from Toronto Canada 🇨🇦.
Yes, Thank you Grove Bai, Big up yourself.
Totally love this video. I am very impress with your shopping skills. You did a wonderful job.
Thank you Errol, I'm happy you enjoyed, Big up yourself.
Boy I don't think I can live in any other country but Guyana. Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables!
Yes, fruits and vegetables are in abundance here.
Bora and potoroos + rice = 1 meal, Fried, Plantains = 1 snack, Banana =1 snack
Apple =1 snack, Sapodilla =1 snack last for days :) all for under $10.00. So great job shopping.
Yes Gaitree, thank you for that. Big Up Yourself.
I think you did good with shopping with $10.00. Here in America that would have cost $20.00. Some of the people saying Guyanese people is lazy guyana actually has more food today than they did in 80's. Things were so bad back then there was hardly any food and food was expensive because you had to buy black market prices because we couldn't get flour peas and other food items. I am happy to see so much food in guyana now. We as Guyanese needs to stop talking bad about our country and about our people.
Thank you so much for sharing this Linda, Yes there was indeed a lot of food in the market. Big Up yourself.
Wow Linda. Very positive attitude and great feelings for your country. I m not Guyanese but I like your attitude and love for your country.
Guyense people not lazy the work very hard theres more lazy peoplw in Trunidas i am a trini

I think you got a good buy at the market. 🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾
Thank you, Vake. Big Up.
It is Naseberry, you have to put it in raw rice for a few days, make sure it's not visible, within 4/5 days you GOOD. i bought some on Liberty Ave in NY, $9,99 lb They never got ripe, i guess it was too green, after like 9days garbage .
Oh sorry about that, I never know about the rice technique Thank you. It was ripe within days on its own out in the open.
Hi King, you know this world is very small. I live close to liberty ave. 😂
@@first100k3 yea, years ago i lived on 142 and Van Wyck.

The name of that fruit is Sapodillas my friend
Thank you we call naseberry back in Ja
Thank you for shopping and showing us round. However I’ve purchased twice the amount for $2000. He said I’ve been on the expensive side and you got less for more.
Thanks and thanks for sharing that it was better for you
Approximately the same for Rm 40.00 in Kuala Lumpur market Malaysia.
Thanks for sharing that Terwander
@@PhilipVlogsMD Thanks for responding. I do find that the food served in Indian restaurants in Guyana is on the high side when compared to similar restaurants in Malaysia.
I hope the oil discovered recently will improve living standards. Your total population is equal to three big housing settlements near Kuala Lumpur. I found all these when I surfed UA-cam.
@@terwandersingh3605 Thank you for sharing, I hope for the best.
Great content, try shopping at the back of stabroek market, you Will get more Stuff for 2000.
Thank you and thanks for the tip Bissoon, Big up
I think the prices were reasonable...all the stuff for 10.00 US. You got quite a few different stuff to feed one person and more.
That amount of bora is at least 4.00 here, the nasberry at least 4.00 , so that's already 8.00 US. Only 2.00 left over. That's only for 2 items.
Wow, thank you Diane, so compared to US Bourda would be better buy.
Diane, we have to stop pegging things to the USA. Foodstuff in Guyana used to be dog-cheap. How are poor Guyanese going to eat well with those high prices? People in Guyana don't earn US dollars. Something has to be done about this high cost of living. So stop peddling nonsense.
@@ianbynoe6515 Compare to US where she live to is fine, it would be cheaper. But yes it may not be that way for everyday Guyanese.
@@ianbynoe6515 I stand by my opinion, you have yours.
@@PhilipVlogsMD Phillip I did not say it is cheaper here, it is more expensive. Even people here complain about the prices.
hey try shopping yours greens next to bounty super market...

I haven't been much of the places but I think, Blue lake in Linden, Essequibo islands, Bartica, and of course Kaieteur Falls would be great adventures for you to enjoy.
Nice vlog. I am not a market person. How do you compare the market in Guyana and Jamaica. I went to the market when I was in Bay. I have been to the market in Rosinol. Market are not for me. You did well with your $2000. It was nice for you to enquiry how the vendors were doing.
Yea, Thank you man. The prices are better back home in the market than Bourda. After going market for a while, you get more familiar with system. Big up.

Food stuff has gotten so expensive in Guyana, l can't believe it. The people in Guyana hardly farm anymore. A set of lazy people living there now, what a shame. Vendors use to give thyme away and other stuff for free. What a shame, to see what this country has become. People, go back to the land and start farming again, politicians are destroying Guyana, look how they have the country. Anyway, your food looks good, big up!
Thank you, Seems your days were better Ian.
@@PhilipVlogsMD, yep, my time was better. Guyana was the cheapest in the Caribbean. It's sad to see how we have regressed.
@@ianbynoe6515 Can only imagine
what camera do you use for vlogging.
I use GoPro Hero 5 but, I would recommend Hero 7 or higher.
Prices are outrageous, cheaper here in Canada. Banana here is .56 cents a lb
Wow, thanks for the feedback Alicia.
I think they increased the price for you, I experience this all the time when I go home to visit.
@@aliciaclarke9379 I thought that also. I try not to speak, because once the British accent comes out, prices go up. It happens alot. I think that why I prefer supermarket where items are priced.
Always good to go with a local resident.
I am so curious to know other cultures.
Incrible your country. my dream is in Guyana
Nice Daniel happy to share with u......not my home country thou

You too cheap You all going to know now how poor people are suffering in Guyana Some markets 2 thousand dollars for a pound of celery! Are we getting enough money to buy vegetables in our own country? One bolanger for 2 hundred dollars! What a shame!!
