I had one of these parakeets it randomly flew into my grandmas back and we kept it as a family pet we raised him well until he unfortunately passed away for an unknown reason. :(
So cute. I have one too, named Zeke. He's 8 and I've had him for 6 years. Your yard is beautiful, esp. the water features. I hope you're using a harness and line to protect your bird outside. A gust of wind - or a raptor - could whisk him away in a blink. I know. It happened to one of my birds.
Awww! Loved the video. Loved watching the birds have their bath. Sunflower sure seemed curious about Kiwi! Was Kiwi at all nervous around the chickens? Got a kick out of the first bird on the water fountain - seemed kind of skittish when it spotted Kiwi. 😊😊
I didn’t let them get too close but kiwi had the time of his life that day. I think it changed his life forever he was so excited and happy. Before I let him outside he was watching the robins take a bath in the birdbath and he would copy all of their movements and then bounce up and down with excitement.
Hello. Im just wondering where you got Kiwi from? And how long have you had him? Almost 15 years ago I got a quaker parot and back then I didn't look in a book for a popular name or anything it just came to me. And the name I picked was Kiwi. How weird. I obviously picked my own popular name without knowing it. Unfortunately due to my job at home taking care of young children my Kiwi was a nipper at any fingers he didn't know. And instead of Keeping him by himself in a room which I thought was not very nice, as hard as it was I let friends of ours (husband & wife) take care of him. They offered and since Kiwi really liked my girl friend Jamie i felt he will be just fine. And so I felt comfortable with the idea. However, some time a few years later something happened I think they give him to somebody else. And so I don't know where he is now. I do miss him so much. It hurts my heart ❤
Hi there thanks for the message. We gotKiwi at a local pet store called Petco and he was about a year old when we got him so now he is not quite two years old. He loves him very much and he really likes a lot of attention. We thought of his name just because he was green 😊
They originate from the area of Peru in S. America. Imports are no longer allowed in the US, so most of the ones you see will be domestically hatched... or VERY old!

Wow, nothing seems to faze him. He is so calm around the other birds.
I thought Kiwi might fly away. Kiwi enjoyed the backyard adventure 😊 Thanks for sharing with us.
Enjoyable video! I like the chickens too. The birdbath and fountain are neat draws for the birds.
We have 2 BeeBee Parrots as well. Gizmo and kiwi! They love the outdoors and perching on our shoulders.:)
Love PARROTS.
Nice Video.
I Feeding Wild Parrots ..
My cousin would love this bird. She has a few parrots in her home.
Happy spring to you guys and your little green bird from Vermont (no green anywhere yet..) (Not your bird from Vermont ☺).

Do you feed yours dry lorrie food? I was told to two or three days aweek
Just bird food
Is Kiwi clipped?
was in this video
What is the song in your video? I love it so much.
All of the music on my videos is free music from the iMovie program on my MacBook. That’s all I know :-)
Do these birds stay small or do they grow? Because I have two and they don’t have all there feathers under their wings but they don’t look like babies
They grow to different sizes mine is probably around the size of a cockatiel slightly larger than a lovebird
Hi are they easy to tame
This bird was tame the day we brought him home from the store.
nice, where is little Kiwi from? NZ?
The pet store, but I think it’s from the Amazon :-)🤷🏻
@@TwinCitiesAdventures Ahh Kiwi, I though NZ cool little boid.
