Loved your cards and you are so right, we move on and forget about some fantastic techniques. Thanks for the refresher, it’s always great to watch how others do things, I most often come away with new ideas and inspiration as I did with your examples. Patti
I am so appreciative you did this video as these techniques can be so changed up just by colors, embossing folders, scoring etc. and I needed the reminder. I make lots of cards for our church so this helps A LOT!!!! Thanks so much!!!
Great techniques that I know I haven't thought about in quite some time. Your cards were beautiful especially the floral backgrounds and what a great way to use your stamps to create backgrounds. Thank you.
Love these cards. Just a tip when you are using your MISTI for backgrounds (unable to use magnets) use one of the Stick It adhesive double sided sheets to temporarily stick cardstock to the MISTI.... No movement at all🙂
Oh I was just going to mention that as it makes such a big difference to the ease of using background or large stamps where its hard to place the magnets😀
Great video. I like the water coloring with the acetate and the water coloring with the stamps. I have been meaning to do that. I also love the double stenciling. I have to try it. Thanks for sharing.
Love your cards of ciurse I always do. The floral ones are beautiful. I am new to card crafting and it's baby steps and lots of mistakes. I dont know why I don't feel right about white space. I see cards that look great with it, like yours, but with mine I see it and caused anxiety. Thank you for the technique!
Very helpful . Liked the tropical colors on your background. Those big ;letters really do make an impact, I have gotten away from doing that and should revisit.
Hello! Hope all is well. Soooo now being quarantined at home, I want to learn card making and other crafts with my family. As a beginner, where's the best place to purchase stencils, ink and brush, and those stamps? Thank you for the tutorials. Im hooked!
Great tips on your video as well! I love doing the inking of the stamps and then spritzing with water before I stamp it on paper. Gives some lovely results!
You're so welcome! And I learned these techniques somewhere along the line too. It's not like I invented them LOL - I'm not going to pretend I'm that creative
Awesome Justine! Between u and Ingrid you guys totally inspired me. These are lost techniques. Although my favorite was the resist with the black soot and I have done that technique but never with the black and that is a whole different look in itself. Thanks. Great video!
I like the phased the flowers are so pretty ,yes I feel like hit the jackpot pot today can you please tell me where you got those thank you for sharing.
I absolutely loved your techniques with the cards. But unfortunately I do not have any of the equipment the same as you have. Neverlthess, I will try using the things that I already have..
Liked 'n subscribed. Thank you for these great ideas! Found you thru the "hop", and so glad you guys did this because I learned lots of new (to me. at least) techniques. They look simple and easy with big impact. I am inspired to go do some now!....
I just rub them onto paper towel or cardstock until they are done. I have one for each colour now so I don't even clean them (not each pad, I mean like one yellow, one orange, etc)
Thanks Justine....great tips! I'm wondering if the paper you used in the Joseph's Coat card was cardstock or was it watercolor paper. The CP inks applied so nicely I am suspecting its wc paper but want to know for sure. Thanks!
I'm a beginner card maker and I was hoping for some really beginner techniques since they're so hard to find, but these look like they're WAY out of my league. I'll have to keep looking!
Hey there crazy critter! Don’t feel intimidated by what you see. We’ve all failed -even after doing cards for a long time! Try it! You have to if you ever want to advance! YOU CAN DO IT!!! 😊
YAY, Justine! I LOVE THIS VIDEO! Beautiful cards.
How do you go about cleaning your picket fence brushes?
I just rub them onto paper towel or cardstock until they are done. I have one for each colour now so I don't even clean them (not each pad, I mean like one yellow, one orange, etc)
